I just got off liberrty last sunday. Both guest services and the diamond ambassador said we couldnt start walk off until 8 am. I said 8 am, its never been later than 730 before. Yes 8 am. So I ate breakfast and by 7 am people were in the elevator going to their places I guess to walk off so finally I got my suitcase and directed to a line outside deck 4 which soon started to move thru the back of the theater and out the opposite side. I was off I'd guess before 745 or sooner. Clearly the crew and what's going on dont match. I also tried looking at tv and the numbers seemed to be moving. Lol i was B. I was told A was aft and B the first walk off. The guy beside me was F. So much for tag numbers. When tendering to grand Cayman I was told go to front deck 5, who said go to deck 3, who said no go up and to the aft deck 2. Deck 2 line was being counted, cut off, I was 2nd tender and we were lead across crew deck to the front to get into the tender. I had a rcl excursion but no crew had any idea if there was a line for rcl excursions. My ticket said meet in green tent onshore. We didnt meet on the ship, everyone with rcl excursions meet in colored tents. On the pier. I'm booked on radiance for jan 30. Sorry to hear the shows arent very good. I think the disorganization is typical of rcl. Carnival doesnt do priority by loyalty which rcl doesnt. There is a large meeting place for diamonds which last time was in the front door of Mdr mid ship. Then all the platinum were in the theater next. It's not much of a loyalty perk but carnival does have priority debark and organized. I cant remember princess been a while.

Well since you dont like news you might be in luck as they substituted movies on sea days for news. Depends where the closest port is the aft is pointed at. I didnt see any movies on demand but we have movies on all 3 news channels. Sat night fever is the musical but I liked up in the air. It's the acrobatic show and they had a featured couple do that thing up to the ceiling. I was impressed he could hold her by one hand. I was really impressed she held him from way up there with only one hand. She must be super strong. We also had a featured couple for ice skating and didnt see as much of a show with a lot of women featured as normal. I saw the couple alone at the tier party and the ice skating show. She has a lot of medals and did a ice skating on raised ice skates. Maybe 5 or 6 inches stilts, not huge off the ground and a few tricks with those trick skates and she does hula hoop tricks and he has this big triangle he twirls just almost hitting the lights above that is pretty good tricks visually. They are trick skaters. First time I saw them. Before the sat night fever and in the air had a featured salsa dancer but this time we had a featured other dancer. I thought the musical the least good of the 3. The other 2 were extra good.

I'm a good bye ... ok with me. And the satellite cant be fixed to be pointed to get tv news except when the ship is near a port. ..until dry dock. Unless you have wifi you are cut off from news for days. It's the thing I dont like about liberty. If there is a election or just to check in on the world I'd like the tv to work in my cabin. Even grandeur had working tvs. I dont want 2 days of movies on the news stations substituted. No one onboard can fix this or the diamond lounge coffee makers lol. Bring on allure. I'm hoping for things to work.

I didnt notice sf. But I had nicer wood tall dresser and upgraded shampoo and stuff on celebrity .. though I've now had it on rcl but now I get them for loyalty on rcl. Subjective but nicer on celebrity. I would look at what's included with celebrity now to decide. Pay restaurant or drinks. Rcl doesnt have any rates that include drinks. Rcl has better perks lol. ..I think I got elite perks on celebrity. Every line has some things better imo. No one basic line has it all.

I would say shows are better on anthem and food better on celebrity. Celebrity is more inclusive. Rcl everything is additional.

I bought that condo in cape Canaveral last year and watching. Sounds like by friday they will get winds. The weather station isnt as good as local coverage from here. Hope everyone gets thru without damage.

Mardi gras may or may not continue to include some fee restaurants for free. I'm very well educated on carnival, diamond.but that is. I'm waiting and hoping jubilee prices go down. It costs me as a solo as I posted more than a inside balcony on harmony. If you can see my signature you see i have the 14 day carnival dream booked. ..for the ports. I did 3 carnival after restart and their Mdr dinners were bad. Not to my liking so I'm mostly back to rcl except for the 14 day dream journey cruise. I sure will miss my free wifi. I'm sure in 2024 I'll surely find a better deal on jubilee. I can wait. But I'm well aware of what mardi gras has. Of all the people you could pick here I'm probably one who has more knowledge of carnival than most. I had grizzled steaks for one thing ..I dont like their new steak cut. I did pay venues every night but one on vista, just didnt like Mdr. Dream hits 5 new ports for me out of Galveston making it worth it.

I'm on jan 30th radiance and a couple of weeks ago they posted more excursions to australia. Im going to Panama and Columbia. We have some now for Panama and none for Columbia and a few other ports I dont care about. It seems to be the norm lately.

Limited no Jack and a few call brands when he board. Once you hit international waters you can order anything. I can remember when carnival started day 1 once they hit international waters and people posted wait for day 2 to save money so now carnival starts day 2. Cheap skates on carnival. Lol

These look different. The one you purchase has 10 punches. And when I walked up he asked do I want a americano or a latte or a cappuccino..which I guess are the choices upstairs? But then someone said they got a carmel mach or whatever and they made exceptions. Lol. The regular ones if you dont use them up can be used on your next cruise. These are dated so idk. The machine was broke in dec, this is the new replacement broke. I thought it was biker who told me to ask for a coffee voucher so I did and she had them. Maybe wasnt him. Thanking wrong person.

Btw I think it was you who said when the diamond coffee pot was broke next time ask for vouchers, which I did. A bunch of us, over 50 posted, got sick sat night 1st week and I didnt use mine that much but she was giving out vouchers. Good tip. They have the new part for the booke coffee but 2 crew couldnt figure out how to put it in. So they brought up the new one and couldnt set it up.

Grandeur was the same. Just know going in and then you arent surprised. We just are more spoiled now by the newer ships with more options.

Agree rcl much much better perks. 2 free days of wifi, solo discount for me is big. I should get upgraded toiletries, shampoo and stuff. Got 4 tubes on grandeur. Bogo pay restaurant and carnival at their top level gives ONE free pay restaurant .. not ongoing, just one time. Free laundry bag matches carnival. Free photo. Amenity gifts vs a amenity plastic luggage tag on carnival. I do like carnival gives me priority disembark off the ship rcl doesnt do. Just that one thing. I do hear carnival is looking to upgrade their loyalty program. It needs it. Not worth anything. I like money off balcony and solo fare a lot.

I'm a huge fan of the hash browns at johnny rockets for breakfast. With onions and peppers. It's a meal to me. I did find it crowded for breakfast and imo go early before there is a line. It does get busy. I've only done it out of florida. December will be the first chance out of Galveston and maybe it wouldnt be so crowded. .. I hope. Oasis had breakfast in the solarium, idk about wonder. It was more healthy and cooked cereals with toppings and that kind to me. Maybe its changed.

I saw the post before I left on my b2b and just got back Sunday so it must have been 2 plus weeks ago someone posted they got the coffee card for one. I had a harder than ever time using my free drinks. I usually get fresh squeezed OJ and the first was like battery acid. I tried it later in the week on thursday and it was better but sour. After that I didnt try as they said they had a bad batch. And the coffee machine was broke in diamond lounge but she gave out extra coffee vouchers each week.

Last week at the tier party he said he was going to take us to cozumel because some of us hadnt been there ... it's a standing joke out of Galveston every ship goes to cozumel. I like captain james. He says hes from tampa but has a southern drawl. He said he will be bringing allure into texas for us. Hes got a lot more personality than liberty cd. Everyone loves him.

While rcl offers fewer free venues for lunch at dinner it's pretty equal. Some that are free on carnival for lunch have a better menu for dinner and a charge. On the flip side of the coin I hated most everything I had on carnivals Mdr dinner menu. I did 3 on carnival and the dinner was so bad I came back to royal. Pizza on carnival better but I need more than pizza. Guys on carnival switched to frozen fries etc. Try some oasis class rcl ships where have more like the solarium and the cafe with roast beef for lunch. It wins overall for me.

Lol tell her she just has to get to 340 loyalty pts and then will get a special solo discount.

Actually that sounds the same from Galveston, I can do harmony for about half the price of ncl prima. Yes I know prima is newer. Solo rate $1100 ish inside balcony, vs a double room on prima inside for $2300 or $1800 for a ncl solo cabin. Ncl includes 2nd pax flies free and pay restaurants and stuff. About double .. inclusive vs ala carte. I think this works out better for couples than solo.

Maybe they need to find a better way to word it. I heard so many confused on my cruise.

I use a TA and get a group rate and the whole discount. Was $250 off. For $250 I'd do it. Each has to decide for their discount I guess if it's worth it.
