In Galveston once I called 2 taxi and both werent available then. The old terminal has a line of taxi cabs but not the new terminal. Maybe the new terminal wants too much money idk but they arent there to grab so people call uber. I've seen rates on uber as low as $10 ish one way from my hotels. 15 ish for a xl size. Though I guess prices are going up monthly.

It's up to you. I carry my luggage on all the time. Once my suitcase was put on the wrong deck and it took me walking the decks for quite a while to find it. I'd rather carry mine on.

They wouldnt bill for the extra if they reroute you but you also may not get a refund if port fees are less. Rcl says their policy is each ship can decide if it wants to refund any overage of port fees. ..I wrote and asked their policy. Oasis had a extra sea day.

Maybe because you spend more you have found royal to be accommodative. Imo after covid they were until the new ceo came in. I havent seen any examples since then they are accomdative. Personal experience included. OP said he threatened them to get their attention. So they would negotiate. Imo royal doesnt make exceptions and negotiate on prices.

I am comparing FULL price of those restaurants. Read again. The FULL price of some restaurants is less as I've noticed for quite a while. I booked bogo and pay full price and I book lunches. I last did Jamie's last dec. I can also grab a screen shot of adventure and it was also $2 less for jamies vs harmony or oasis class. If you cant see the FULL price as I said it is crossed off but you should be able to see what the full price is of both. I can pull up adventure and I am 100% sure full price will be a couple bucks less for lunch vs a oasis class. I booked for all of 2024 as far out as i can. Thru xmas. Seems to be a lot of people who either dont purchase pay meals or unobservant. Of course I said look at the crossed out amount in my post to see the FULL price and you come back about how I cant compare dynamic pricing. I wasnt.

Here is a screen shot of harmony lunches and mariner lunch. You can see what full price is on both, even though its crossed off with a sale going. Chops lunch full price is $3 more. And even more of a difference with this and other sales. But you can see same exact restaurant is less comparing full prices of lunch. I paid $2 extra for all my oasis class lunches I booked is why I was sure. I see now they raise izumi hibachi so both ships are now the same full priced, though mariner is always offering me the better price. Idk someone would notice $2 if they dont cruise a lot but also the unlimited dining was also lower.

Yes as a matter of fact for sure they are less. Unlimited dining was much less. Jamie's for instance was $2 less full price than oasis class. I can show you the difference but there is a difference. Lunch on 40% off 14.99 plus tip on harmony vs 12.99 on mariner. Same sale. Full price as I said is $2 less, so is sale price. I guess some people dont care about small differences but I cruise enough I notice. Oasis class has more choices for dinner and costs more.

I had one of each. One lounger and one upright. Mine was a regular balcony, the 2 corners arent JS. Long walk back there but worth it for aft view.

I've got my eye out for balcony furniture. I'd like something more comfy than what royal offers. This balcony looks like the lounger has a cushion. Some cushions you need to bring them in out of the weather I have been told. I'll need some other furniture too. Saw this article that 2 calif towns had decreases in price in the top ten. Lol and miami is #1 decreased prices. Some deals to be had. ..but I wanted water and walking trails and a quieter way of life. Downtown miami isnt it .. but probably good investment. 1. Balcony lounger 2. Condos glut in miami. If it isnt really single family houses or miami beach .. downtown condos are down even more than the % shown.

I'd grab one. My favorite. I had the corner on deck 9. I have pictures somewhere if you want them. The door is regular and heavy and a window, not a slider. The balcony is pie shaped, very roomy imo. I would love to book one but the group rates dont include the aft facing cabins that I'm booking under. I hear the lower decks like maybe deck 7 have larger balconies but you need 3 to book them.

There was a thread where a suite had $750 obc until you put in your number. Ourusualbeach said well you know what to do now, dont put in your C & A number. Idk these recent sales are confusing. That was for a suite not a regular cabin obc

How about people who booked legs of the world cruise. End of feb the cruisers onboard voted which route so it wasnt known until close to when the ship would be close to where people might be able to board their legs, ... or miss them. One guy booked 4 nights nonrefundable hotel in dubai and he was cancelled and only offered a refund or book another cruise, with $100 obc. If you got cancelled they arent covering hotels or airfare to far flung places. I'm one who books ahead. Ship cant go thru the red sea because it's too dangerous so it's going around africa. Hotel in dubai isnt cheap either. Royal has gotten chintz with what it will do to make pax happy. Most of us here can name a lot like this.

I need @Ourusualbeachto explain which obc isnt combinable. I book group rates and the D+ obc is then combinable but of course not the same obc as this wow sale. Usually if you book direct the discount or amount off is larger than the D+ discount so it's not combinable. Hence why group rates are better for me. Booking onboard that obc isnt combinable with 1 of the obc I get booking direct group rates, so booking onboard isnt worth much to me. $25 obc on a balcony. Its certainly not all its cracked up to be. They got you coming and going.

Yea I just sorted out the 2 out of 3 eye drops I start today. 4 weeks. Wow. It sure will be cutting it close to get both eyes done before i drive across the country. No eye rubbing or heavy lifting or bending. Idk i wonder if driving counts as bending? Lifting? I'm sorting and picking up boxes and moving. I do think my night vision is compromised so I wanted to get it done before I moved. Sounds like I shouldnt be moving boxes and sorting. Starting Monday.

I think what happened was about insirance. I think they had no choice but to cancel. Also royal pax complain a LOT. Carnival people take things more in stride. Many were calling up and demanding refunds. I'm still in texas and cruises from texas dont go to labadee. Dec will be my first booked cruise where I booked out of florida so I'm not affected, at least yet. But I've been reading and there were some pax up in arms demanding rcl not go there.

In summary in case people didnt read the first 2 threads. OP booked online and thought he put in 4 pax and completed it and the booking was only for 2 so he booked a 2nd cabin and airfare and wrote to royal claiming they are at fault for bait and switch and they should honor the original price for 4. Hes threatened to sue, go to the media and taking his story public as he is doing here. They offered a full refund which wasnt enough for the OP because he also purchased airfare nonrefundable. He wants them to honor the price he saw. OP hasnt shown screen shots showing the price he said he saw for 4 people so I dont know how he has a case. Even above he says going by msc price it wasnt out of line the price he saw for 2 which he says should have been for 4. Without screen shots we dont know. Clearly OP is a unhappy customer. I dont have a answer. Doing the booking process online yourself I can see how things might not have come up to verify before putting in his credit card, idk. Glad I have a TA.

They started rerouting people yesterday. Some got a sea day. DR, coco cay or Nassau. Only sending emails 3 days in advance which isnt giving people time to book a new excursion. No point in complaining, cant change things. I'm scheduled there over xmas. Too soon to know.

1. The diamond club is now called the crown lounge. It opens with your card. There is food in the morning and during happy hour and a concierge who has hours. It doesnt close at a certain time but they remove the food. You get 4 free drinks a day. These can be used anywhere any time. If you want a drink during happy hour you have to use a voucher. Drinks are not included during happy hour like celebrity. I've never seen music in the crown lounge. So no end time. Schooners seems like the late night hang out. Idk. I dont drink much. Toiletries are a bar of soap and all in one dispenser unless you are at 340 pts or higher.

I thought suite lounge still had free drinks during happy hour. You mean if I was a pinnacle and brought in my cabin mate they arent allowed the free lounge suite drinks?

George sounds like a awesome cruise. Following. Packed up some books from a cabinet. Not moving those books. I'll get more if I run out. Trying to sort before movers come. I hate moving, trying to keep my eye on the prize. I need to get busy and get it done. Time ticking by. Tomorrow I start taking eye drops. Says 3 days before surgery. 1/2 day tomorrow? Sat and sunday plus half a day Monday. Cataract surgery isnt until 3 pm Monday.

Maybe I'm blind but I dont see which ship. Makes a difference on perks.
