  1. In Canaveral they seat you in the terminal according to your assigned check in time. So they may or maybe let you in early but you will still be seated in the 1pm section to await actual boarding of the ship
  2. Since covid they don’t have toppers much anymore……what you might get is a comforter used for extra padding. And yes the beds are very firm!😩😩
  3. Our last sailing on the Jewel in March and rooms were not ready until 2pm…
  4. Staying up until midnight tonight to grab my early time slot for our Wonder cruise
  5. It costs a lot less to park off site and some people like to save money…. Parking at the port is about $18 per day and they charge you for the day your enter and the day you leave….so for a 7 day cruise you will pay 8 days of parking
  6. If you do decide to stay at the port here are the hotels closest to the port (less than a mile) that I would recommend….. *Hampton Inn Cruise Port/Home2Suites *Homewood Suites *Springhill Suites *Towneplace Suites *Residence Inn *Country Inn & Suites
  7. The Allure is a beautiful ship!!! These mega ships are great at spreading people out so to me it doesn’t feel as crowded as the smaller ships. There is so much to see and do!! But for me personally I would not want a cabin on Deck 14 as it is directly under the pool deck, which could be noisy when they are cleaning the decks in the middle of the night! if you can find another location I wouldn’t hesitate to book it!!
  8. you need to be OUT of your cabin by 8:00am and off the ship by 9:30 at the latest. Where you choose to hang out between 8:00-9:30 is up to you but it won’t be in the cabin… Remember other people are waiting to board……
  9. We stayed at the Hampton Inn Brickell and enjoyed it very much. Nice clean area and within walking distance to shops and restaurants
  10. We always buy trip insurance but never from the cruise line as you can get better coverage for less money through a third party. This is where we get our quotes and purchase our policies… www.insuremytrip.com
  11. It gets very mixed reviews on Trip Advisor…..and some are not good!
  12. Been on 52 cruises and have never been asked about my sunscreen….
  13. We have sailed multiple times in the past six months. They now call it Dress Your Best but it really doesn’t mean anything. You will see a few dressed formally, some who will do the shirt/tie and then you will see a lot of pants with collared shirts. If you are worried about having to dress formally don’t worry about it…..long pants or jeans and a nice shirt is fine even on the “formal” nights. You will not be out of place!!
  14. We always get trip insurance but never from the cruise line!!! You can get better coverage for less money through a third party…. This is who we use… www.insuremytrip.com
  15. Never sailed on the Adventure and haven’t seen a lot of comments about her. If you have sailed on this ship I would appreciate your honest feedback…. Thanks in advance……
  16. I have friends sailing from Port Canaveral who has one family member needing wheelchair assistance. Can all of this be done through Special Needs?
  17. ships usually start leaving around 4:00pm and continue until sometimes about 5pm depending how many are leaving that day. you can go to the Port Canaveral website and click on Cruise Schedule and it will list which ships are leaving and the approximate time. One of our favorite things to do!!!
  18. I have seen small crock pots and blenders!!😳😳
  19. I never print mine in color…..only black and white. Makes no difference in the delivery of your luggage
  20. at this port absolutely worth it!!!! We always prepay….
  21. We sail out of Canaveral a lot!! For several years our 7 day cruise parking at Terminal 1 was always a flat $136 which was $17 x 8 days. The last two cruises I guess they have started adding taxes so now it is about $145.
  22. Did you book a guarantee room? Or did you choose your room?
  23. Replacement ports have to be chosen according to the availability of a berth for the ship. Sometimes it works out…..sometimes not. Prayers for the passenger and their family during this stressful time!
  24. Open the app……swipe to the left and it will show you the exact date your check in will open….
  25. Just a tip……on port day the line for getting towels on the pool deck will be LONG!!! 😳😳 We check out our towels the afternoon before and take them to the room and check them back in when we return to the ship
