  1. Good morning. A little cooler this morning (58) but should be in upper seventies this afternoon. We never made it to the beach yesterday but had an enjoyable day at home. Won’t be long today as we have church this morning as we try and do every Sunday. Today I may watch some of the NASCAR race from Las Vegas and maybe spend some time outdoors as it appears it’s going to be a beautiful day and week. Thanks for the report and postings. Bruce
  2. It’s has happened many times here on CC over the years. One spouse is active other doesn’t participate. In sail7seas case she often stated there was no one left after her husband passed. Whether she is incapacitated or passed I have no idea. If we want our demise known here on CC we should request a responsible person be assigned to let CC membership know. Over many years there have been many wonderful on line relationships enjoyed here on CC that have established friendships, and cruises that have developed into lasting friendships. Whether here on CC or instructions to E-mail or text our individual demise or condition; someone needs to be given instructions to let requested folks know. If it’s me it doesn’t matter but one has to remember others would like to know. We have become family over the years or that is how I look at many of my CC member family. Assign someone to pass the word. Amen!
  3. Goodness gracious! That’s a lot more then the ships Masters but they don’t have climb up rope ladders in rough seas.
  4. Lenda. Not sure I want to drink any water from our rivers these days! Especially those poor folks in Ohio. What a sad situation and I keep them in my prayers.
  5. Good morning. It’s a beautiful day with a forecasted high of 78 degrees and the howling winds have ceased. Another sleep in morning so definitely no sleeping problems here. Such a beautiful day we may drive down and enjoy a walk on the beach. The Gulf was really rough yesterday with the high winds. Will try and catch the Eurodam sail away today to see how she looks with her new paint job. I have been to San Juan three times on Hal cruises and my most memorable was my first Segway ride. Have a great weekend and thanks to all that contribute to the Daily’s success. Bruce
  6. Jane good news. Yes we have met and have even shared some excursions. Sorry but I can’t recall your late husbands name but I enjoyed my time with you both. Maybe 2008 on Maasdam. Bruce
  7. Same on our January Onward cruise. Scheduled at 5:15 on embarkation day in the card room in the Living Room. No drinks or staff and only around six of us showed out of the over twenty who had signed up. IMO the 5:15 is not a good time. I would have wanted more time enjoying sail-away and the Miami skyline and South Beach. Feel it should be held first sea day but then folks would lose their pool side loungers on a sunny day.
  8. @1ANGELCATIt will be interesting to hear if there has been any major remodels inside or just routine dry dock happenings? We’ll find out for ourselves April 9. Maybe it will still have that new carpeting smell. Definitely will not stay up to see her arrive in the dark.
  9. Good morning! Another nine hour nap and I should have gone for ten. It’s in the seventies this morning and a band of rain is approaching. The forecast also calls for wind gust up to 45 mph later in the day. Caretakers sure deserve a special day every day. So many here on the Daily and for me it was my dear sister who took such wonderful care of Mom & Dad. God bless you sis. Last night was church group and we enjoyed good debate and interpretation. We have not really had any discussion yet on what’s on today’s agenda but I believe it’s going to be reading, browsing and crossword puzzles Friday. Have been to today’s port many times and once with Redneck Bob. 🤪 Thanks for my morning read and may all of you be safe from storms which have been causing havoc. Bruce
  10. Was happy to hear that folks in troubled weather areas remain safe.👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
  11. Good morning! After my birthday dinner which was wonderful we watched some tv and I fell asleep in my recliner. Woke up in chair at 5:30 went to bed and woke up at 10:30 AM. Yes I’m feeling rather rested. The lobster was delicious and the best part of the day was Face Time with our children and grandchildren. Another warm day but pretty cloudy, the sun pokes through now and then. Having been brought up in New England I’m used to leaves falling in the fall. Where as here in Florida we get falling leaves in late fall and again in spring. So my yard needs a good raking but it would be a waste of time at the rate they are falling off the oak trees. Thanks for the reports, camaraderie and laughs. Bruce
  12. Just would like to say thank you for all the birthday wishes. The lobsters dinner with sweet potatoes baked fries and salad is going to make the Chief very happy! Sandi it was sad to hear about your DB. Asbestos or chemical exposures he should check with a lawyer. Thanks everyone. Bruce
  13. Still at optometrist and slowly becoming blind after having eyes dilated. They have a sign that reads. Optometrist live longer because they dilate!
