  1. The problem is, it it predicted to cut across the state, causing high winds and storm surges on the West side around Tampa, too.
  2. Thanks for this review and great pictures! You've given me good ideas . I'm on the Equinox next month stopping at these ports. And it brought back fond memories of the times we sailed out of San Juan.
  3. Usually if I see a thread resurrected from years ago, I suspect outdated information and move on.... but a thread on delicious drinks.......now that's timeless 😃 I'm taking notes !
  4. I don't use ride services, so i have no idea. I was wondering if it's built into their rates, does the amount due go up if they are delayed through no fault of the driver?
  5. That's what i was wondering. I feel bad for the driver if they were stuck *this close* to their destination without recompense.
  6. @What A MarketThanks for these updates ! I hope you enjoy the ABCs. And have fun! Sounds like a great group of passengers and crew. On a serious note, I'm sorry about your DD and I am with you on F@#k the sun. As a pasty , freckled strawberry blonde i spent my youth trying to tan (duh). Moved to Florida for retirement and started getting yearly skin checks. Just a few minor freeze treatments over the years, then this year a noticed a small new mole , asked specifically about it. 2 days to get biopsy results, surgery a week later and an impressive scar now. It was just pure luck that I happened to notice it early. So Florida and cruise life for me now is a lot of skin coverage, shady spots and sunblock by the gallon.
  7. I like to think of CALL and PALL as a goal... Premium ALL the drinks. Just yesterday, I was looking at Equinox menus and wondering if it's feasible to try every cocktail from every bar menu......🤔
  8. The US site still hasn't updated. I'm sure it will come up there soon though. This is good news! I'm guessing this also takes away the possibility of B2B testing ( unless one leg is an itinerary that falls under the exceptions). One less stress for my cruises next month.
  9. I had a blast on a Halloween Celebrity cruise back in 2010. And a few weeks ago , I made a 2023 reservation on the Equinox for a price and itinerary that looked good. Somehow I couldn't compute that October 28- November 5 includes Halloween (senior moment). When I realized it days later, I was so excited😀
  10. Thank you for explaining what you meant in more detail. i must admit, I do miss the Sky Lounge, but there's Eden, which has beautiful views, too. So my personal cruise experiences on E Class never made me feel like Celebrity is taking stuff away from me to give to Suites. And, realistically, I am paying maybe 10%-20% of what a suite passenger does, so I certainly hope they have a great Retreat experience ! Do staffing levels concern me for my December b2b ? Sure, but I'm prepared to chill a bit longer if need be.
  11. There you go again. The person who has nothing to contribute but insulting people. If you don't like someone's opinion, then present an opposing view, or point out why they may be wrong, or just post something occasionally that actually informs others.
  12. Though E Class has a "fancier" suite experience than M or S , we've sailed twice in inside staterooms on E Class and never once felt like "less" because of it. It doesn't seem like Celebrity is promoting a shipwide class system on these newer ships. You are stating that poor service and low staffing should be tolerated for passengers not in a suite, but suite passengers have a right to complain. So you are the one promoting a class system.
  13. Yes. They usually start decorating after Thanksgiving. This is the 2021 schedule but it's pretty much the same every year.
  14. For us, Inside staterooms are great. On our first few cruises we had a balcony. That's great to experience when cruising is new and unique. Since then, we spend most of our time outside the room so we don't find it worthwhile. I book 2 cruises in an interior for the price of one cruise with a balcony. Sleeping in an interior room is incredibly soothing, total darkness and the ship movement makes for great sleep. And if we're just chilling in the room, we're enjoying that too, balcony not needed. I have a "balcony" booked for 2024 to experience the notorious IV 😀 but I have 7 other cruises in interiors coming up. As with everything on a cruise...... YMMV.
  15. @JazzboLooking forward to your live review ! We have only sailed on Reflection once , for Mardi Gras in 2020. Loved the ship! These live posts definitely help fill the time between cruises 😀
  16. @DragonOfTheSeasThanks for letting us sail along with you! I agree with you on the Mardi Gras cruises. We were on Reflection for Mardi Gras 2020. Loved it !!!! Sailing up the Mississippi and spending days docked in New Orleans so you can experience the incredible parades ...just wow! I am also curious about your comparison of Royal to Celebrity. We love X and have never tried Royal Caribbean.
  17. Please explain what "passenger demographics" you see as being bad for Celebrity.
  18. I was just looking into this , and surprisingly, Celebrity's site now says PCR or Antigen. But it still has to be "official" and documented.
  19. My husband and I smoke cigars and appreciate having nice place to relax, drink and smoke. Outdoors is fine ! We fully understand that indoor smoking in casinos or lounges can be overwhelming, and that is unfair to nonsmokers. But if I'm outside on deck in a designated smoking area that you can easily avoid, don't be that obnoxious person who comments or fake coughs or glares at me as you walk by.
