Does anybody know what the cost of just the aquarium is now? We did it about 20 years ago but I cannot find any information on what it costs now. Thanks!! -
September 8th Freedom, Labadee replaced with Nassau. Was hoping for Grand Turks or Puerto Plata but will make the best of it.

If you booked with Southwest, you can cancel it anytime and get credits back on your account that never have an expiration date. I've done that many times and have credits from a couple of years ago that I'm still waiting to use. You cannot get actual cash back but you can get credits back for future flights.

We had an issue with Viator on the first cruise from the Bahamas after the shutdown. The person was over an hour late to pick us up, we were a little worried we weren't going to get back to the ship on time. Plus they took us to a different beach than what we had booked. We pretty much lost our faith in ever trying them again, I know people give them great reviews but one and done for us.

I had the same experience. I fell and twisted my foot and ankle on the ship (Freedom) and had xrays in Medical and was not charged a penny. We also had travel insurance.

I am a definite overpacker. Usually take a couple extra of things, even swimsuits and dinner clothes. I like choices. And I pack for my husband as he probably would forget half of what he should bring. I am very anal when it comes to packing, and have a spreadsheet that I just change for each cruise as needed and check things off as they are getting put into the suitcase.

Deluxe Beverage Package - "Senior Savings"
#1packerfan replied to surgie's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We are guessing it is 65. I am 62 and my husband is 65 and it shows the 35% off for him but not for me. Same with any of the rest of our party that is over 65 versus under 65. That said, when we book a cruise if there is a senior rate then I qualify even if he is not there because that starts at 55. So for whatever reason the senior rate on the DBP is 65. -
Deluxe Beverage Package - "Senior Savings"

We saw 35% off for anybody that was over the age of 65 on our upcoming cruises. For those of us that are under 65 it was whatever the sale price was for this current sale. So we actually had two separate prices for the two people in the cabin, one was 35% off and one was 25% off. -
Black Friday starts the 9th.

I just redid an excursion in Roatan for $20 pp less than what I originally paid. Also some other excursions I was watching are cheaper as well. Unfortunately, the bev package is still the same b0go 50% off. I am still hoping they go down more but we'll see. -
Exactly. Today it would not have mattered what time a flight was unless it is very late this evening. So to say never book till at least noon (or 1 or 2) or after, it would not matter in some situations, like today. The airport will be a nightmare tonight once the ships finish docking and allow passengers to get off.

Odd question- medical services on RCCL
#1packerfan replied to sadiwest's topic in Royal Caribbean International
I was injured on Freedom about a year ago and broke my foot (my fault, turned wrong and my foot went sideways) and went to medical. There was no charge because I got hurt on the ship. I fully expected to pay and also had trip insurance, but we asked and they said it would not cost anything. So guessing you will not be charged for an accident on the ship. -
Internet and Cell Phone questions
#1packerfan replied to Turk1's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Making sure to keep her phone in airplane mode. As Biker said, use wifi calling mode with phone in airplane mode and she can text or call via the wifi. I do this all the time when I am on a cruise without my husband. -

Scary Medical Emergency - Cruise Credit Chance
#1packerfan replied to Kever1818's topic in Royal Caribbean International
That is the policy we always book. We are 64 and 61 and price was the same 280 pp for the year. We had a couple of claims last year unrelated to cruising but for other travel issues and they were very quick to pay our claims. As of yet we have not had to file anything medical fortunately -
I wanted to share this because so often we read about bad customer service, which I personally have never experienced. We had a cruise booked leaving March 26th out of San Juan on Voyager. We had an annual trip insurance to start March 15th (my fault, I dropped the ball and had a few weeks lapse between policies), as we always carry an annual policy. My brother in law passed away on March 9th, so during the lapse in our policy, and the service is scheduled on March 30th, while we should have been on the cruise. We decided with a heavy heart to cancel the cruise so we could be here in WI for the funeral. (We are still flying to PR as planned and will spend a few extra days there before coming home early) I totally understood we were going to lose our cruise fare and just get refunded port fees, taxes, gratuities, and cruise planner items and was at peace with that, because what do you do? We needed to be here as both our families are extremely close. But my TA who also happens to be my sister went to bat for us, and Royal agreed to let us move the cruise with no penalties, so we just scheduled a different cruise at a different time. All the monies transferred, the OBC transferred and they waived the $100 change fee, we were definitely after final payment. We do cruise quite a bit so it was not a big deal for us to book a different cruise. I would have been fine either way since we knew we were outside the refund window, but certainly appreciate them doing this for us so we lose no money. It took the sting out a little of having to cancel a cruise that was 2 years in the making, sometimes life gets in the way for sure.
