  1. Check in opens at midnight local time of the port of departure. Many people check in just after midnight to get the earliest times. 10am has been the earliest time for my most recent cruises. I was able to get 10 am when I checked in at 12:05am. I checked in at 12:12am for our upcoming cruise and the earliest I could get was 10:30. Many on my rollcall have 10.
  2. We prefer deck 6 near the aft elevators on Oasis class ships. Puts you on same deck as the Boardwalk, one down to Royal Promenade or two up to Central Park.
  3. I will have to give that a shot. I have never been thrilled with the coffee that comes out of those machines. Maybe that will be a combination that I will actually finish.
  4. I don't let him play basketball anymore! He has broken his ankle and also ruptured his quadricep in each leg. Three injuries that took him a long time to recover and didn't allow him to drive himself to work because he either couldn't fit behind the wheel of the car because the leg brace was to cumbersome or the injury was on his right leg. With two of the injuries, he was working in NH and we live in MA. I had to drive him to and from work for months. It was about a two hour commute for me in the morning and afternoon each day as he only took very little time off with each injury. I remember your ankle injury was very severe and you had in-patient rehab. He didn't have to do in-patient rehab and only one of the quad repairs required him to stay in the hospital overnight. His second one was 10 years later and the surgery is now outpatient with him being weightbearing the entire time, whereas the first quad he was non-weightbearing for months. It is amazing how things change.
  5. My DH walked into the ER on a broken ankle. It was actually broken in two places. He rolled it playing basketball and sat out a few plays and went back in the game and rolled it the other way. Drove himself home (was right ankle), refused to have it looked at, went to Easter dinner at my sister's house, went to work the next day and promised he would meet me at the hospital to have it looked at. I told him to come home and I would drive him to the hospital since he wasn't going to be able to drive with whatever they put on it, splint or cast. Doctor at hospital was amazed he was walking on the ankle. It was huge and all sorts of ugly colors. He was in a cast for six weeks and we ended up cancelling a cruise because he was so miserable.
  6. Just turn on wifi calling and you don't have to use whatsapp. Not everyone has whatsapp, using wifi calling will allow you to call anyone. Just tty it at home on your wifi with your phone in airplane mode to make sure you have it setup correctly.
  7. Yum! I used to work at a mutual fund company in Boston and we had a few pot luck luncheons around the holidays where everyone would bring their families favorite dish. Every year, we all looked forward to the Stuffies that one person who commuted from Rhode Island made. The recipe sounds just like yours.
  8. The cartoonist is known for hiding things in the cartoon, like Disney hides Mickey ears in pretty much everything. I see three also.
  9. Walking a mile and a half in 45 degree water can do that! They weren't numb though, just cold. It was 84 degrees outside at the time, so they warmed up very quickly.
  10. We went to Singing Beach in Manchester by the Sea Tuesday. Water temperature was 45 degrees. We walked the beach in the edge of the water. Cold but wonderful.
  11. We had dolphins right alongside our tender on a Pacific Coastal cruise when we were tendering in Monterey. It was really cool to see them right beside us.
  12. You can use a picture you already have, the app will have a profile that you put over the picture to center the part you want. It is easy to do. If you decide to do a selfie, you can retake it. You can also reverse the camera in the app and have someone take the picture for you so you don't have to do a selfie. That can be redone too if it doesn't come out well.
  13. We did a cruisetour prior to our cruise and it included transfer from the airport to the hotel the cruisetour was starting from. You just had to notify the cruise line by a certain date or else you were on your own.
  14. Correct, you can limit the charging abilities on the set sail pass, not the arcade.
  15. Sounds like you are doing 4A? We did 4B, so the reverse of what you are doing. Our cruise tour picked us up at the airport and took us to Pikes Waterfront Lodge. I would expect yours to pick you up in Seward at the ship. Not sure if you have seen this link but it has some times in it for the first day and also lists all the additional excursions you can buy once you meet your cruise tour guide. https://www.royalcaribbeancruisetours.com/ https://www.royalcaribbeancruisetours.com/content/uploads/2022/10/4A.pdf edit to add: the excursions that you can buy are under the resources tab.
  16. The aft facing JS under the outdoor area of the WJ absolutely hear noise very early and late when they are cleaning the WJ. You hear the scraping of tables and chairs when they are power washing and rearranging things.
  17. Correct, the period starts when you first login so it makes no sense to start it at midnight unless you are going to be up all night.
  18. Same here, just tried to pull it up in the app again and it doesn't work.
