  1. We have been watching that show too. We are a few episodes behind since we record it since it is on so late. We also like the brothers from Alaska. Not thrilled with the father/son team. The father shows his son no respect at all. The brother/sister team are our other favorite.
  2. Two weeks is a long time for it to be there though. They should call again.
  3. The $138.51 would be the $99.75 that is typically authorized the first night converted to CAD.
  4. We were on Oasis two weeks ago. We had an authorization processed the first day for $99.75 and then three other authorizations over the week for the actual charges we incurred above the $99.75. On the last night they charged the full balance to our card and the authorizations started clearing off my AMEX two days later with the last one clearing four days after we got off the ship. It depends on the actual financial institution your card comes from but mine always clear quickly with AMEX.
  5. Our recent Oasis sailing had 24 pinnacles and no Chops breakfast.
  6. I didn't notice anyone trying to shoo them away but it could have happened. It was just a crazy morning in there that day. We heard later that day that they had served 450 for breakfast. They ended up getting help so they could turn tables quicker. From that day on, there was always at least two extra bussers from either the WJ or MDR as there shirts didn't match those of the CK staff.
  7. Where did I say I despised anyone? Stop trying to manipulate what I have typed. We speak to many people on the ship and sometimes people bring up cabins, especially since this was an oversold sailing that many still got last minute Royal Ups. You had breakfast in Chops on Harmony because pinnacles had been kicked out of CK for breakfast and could eat in either place if you were in a suite. Nice try. I have not profiled anyone, you once again are trying to manipulate what I said. Four tables were held by pinnacles when a large number of people were waiting for tables. All passengers at those tables were wearing their nametags. We did not observe anyone else holding tables for any length of time. These four tables were done eating when we arrived and had to wait 25 minutes. They were still there when we left after we had breakfast. That is a long time to hold four tables when so many people are waiting. I have a very open mind, you have an issue when anyone says anything about pinnacles. Maybe you should remove your blinders and stop trying to manipulate everything to fit your agenda.
  8. I am not going to continue to go around in circles with you. I did not ask anyone what cabin they were in, it came up in conversation. Chops is available for breakfast for suites and pinnacles on ships that have no CK.
  9. Here is the information for the company Royal uses. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/faq/questions/wheelchair-motor-vehicle-guest-assistance
  10. I would expect the pinnacles that I spoke to would tell the truth about what type of cabin they were sailing in just as I would expect the same of other cruisers. No where did I state that I knew what type of cabin every pinnacle in the CK was staying in, I didn't have the opportunity to speak to all passengers that ate in CK. In fact, the group I spoke to most wished they had higher numbers so they could have breakfast in Chops, instead of the overcrowded CK.
  11. We will roll the suite guaranty dice, but only on certain ships. We do not like the center aft facing cabins on deck 6 and 7 on Voyager and Freedom class ships, so we always pick a cabin on those classes. We can deal with a JS, so have taken the chance a few times in the past when the price difference was large. We did end up with a 2 bedroom GS on Anthem once that has made us want larger cabins now. 😄
  12. There is no bashing going on, people are sharing their experiences. You weren't on our recent sailing to see what was going on and you are not aware of who was sailing in a suite and who wasn't. I do know which were in suites and which weren't. You can continue to jump to conclusions as you do when anyone says anything about pinnacles but that does not change what other cruisers are experiencing.
  13. You don't share C&A accounts. One of you has one and the other doesn't. Call and get a number for the one that doesn't have one so you both get the benefits.
  14. I would be cautious buying something for that cup as the cups have changed again. They are smaller. These are both from Oasis. One is from October and the smaller is from two weeks ago.
  15. Crazy world we live in! There was an active shooter report today at the high school my son graduated from many years ago. Turned out to be a swatting call but in the process of trying to clear the buildings, a gun was discharged as a police officer was checking a restroom. That then lead to chaos and kids running into the woods. The school is near a state police barracks and they sent everyone, plus NEMLEC, the regional SWAT team was dispatched. All schools in the area went into a hold in place until the threat was over. I hope they can trace the call and catch whoever did this!
  16. The names of the packages were changed many years ago and they got rid of the replenish name as it gets confused with refreshment. There is a soda package, refreshment package and deluxe beverage package. If you are asking about the refreshment package, the cheapest we saw it on sale for our recent cruise was $27.99/day. Soda package cheapest I saw was $9.99/day. All of legal drinking age need to buy the deluxe beverage package but with the other two package, that is not the case. One can buy if that is the only one that wants one. Even with the deluxe, you can call and they will let one get deluxe and other refreshment if one doesn't drink.
  17. We just sailed Oasis a couple of weeks ago and though there was a low number of pinnacles, they were a demanding group. This was the first time we have ever had a wait for breakfast in CK. There was a half hour wait when we arrived for breakfast with all tables full. There were four tables of pinnacles chatting when we got there, done with their meals. When we were seated 25 minutes later, they were still just sitting there chatting, when we left, they still were just sitting there gabbing. They could have easily moved over to the SL and freed the tables up, though the SL was getting crowded with those waiting.
  18. Posting a cabin number will get you better information. I know the JS we have sailed in on Anthem have had the beds facing forward. I know on your other thread, you said you need the bed and sofa facing forward. That is not going to happen on the JS with large balconies as the bed faces the sofa. There are different types of JS on Anthem, so be careful that you are looking at the right type if you can't find a video of the exact cabin.
  19. The Key has access to those seats too. Many times the crew member who is letting people into the seats do not understand who actually can get into the seats. The Key should have been listed on the sign the stand there holding, just make them read the sign. We were just on Oasis and a crew member who was allowing people into the venue said there were no reserved seats in the Aqua theater but once you got past him, you could see the person holding the sign. The reserved area used to be the last rows but for this sailing were a few rows ups from the splash zone.
  20. Good Burger was a movie back in the 90's with Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell of Kenan and Kel from Nickelodeon. Kenan Thompson is now of Saturday Night Live and is the current longest cast mate. My son used to watch them on Nickelodeon when he was young. They are filming the sequel in RI at a Friendly's that closed in 2019 in Providence but are also filming around RI.
  21. @Ocean Boy Are you going to be an extra in Good Burger 2? 😇 I hear they are filming all over Rhode Island including Providence, Warwick, East Greenwich and a few other places. Kenan was in Newport today bringing coffee and donuts to the local police department.
  22. They will have everyone off the ship before that, so not going to happen. We got off Oasis last weekend in Cape Liberty and the last number had a 9am departure time. Cabins were supposed to be vacated by 8am.
