Updated C&A perks

Well, we have all read that someone from the cruise line monitors threads in this forum. I would hope that corporate reads this and talks to this chef. -

LOL I have no desire to direct your life. I asked an honest question as all I have seen you post are complaints on a daily basis. You posted how bad Wonder was and continue to complain about it. As far as chefs being forced to prepare poor quality food, that makes no sense whatsoever! Try to enjoy your cruise. 🙂 -

Why do you continue to cruise with Royal Caribbean if you are so unhappy with the food and in some cases, the ship itself? Life is too short to spend so much time complaining about all your sailings. Try Celebrity and see if it suits your needs. -
If you consider $10K more as not "that" much more, go for it. We don't buy an alcohol package as we get way more than enough from loyalty drinks and the suite lounge. We enjoy Coastal Kitchen and only do a few nights in specialty restaurants or the Windjammer. We are just fine with getting our own seats at the shows. We don't need a lot of extra stuff delivered to our cabin, we use room service if we need something or just go get it ourselves. The two of us are quite happy in our sky suites and do not see the need to spend a lot of extra money.

Tote bags and toiletry bags are the new gifts that you can chose from on the list that was posted. In the past, D+ could select slippers or towels. D+ over 340 could get tote bags. Wine was and still is a choice. You just have to call C&A and make your selection. If it is available when you sail, it will be in your cabin. If not available, they will make a choice for you or leave a letter in your cabin with options. -

Dining (Wait Listed): 6:00 PM
reallyitsmema replied to JamesEM's topic in Royal Caribbean International
If your dining says what you have in your title, you are not waitlisted. Dining (Wait Listed) 6:00PM () means you have 6:00PM dining with no wait list. If you are wait listed for something it would be in the brackets. My dining for my upcoming cruise originally said 8:00 (My Time) since I was waitlisted for MTD. I now have been assigned MTD. -

I would like to see their definition of "more water" instead of the beverage choice. Lately, they have been leaving a bunch of water bottles and our beverage choices. -

What can I do in 12 hours in Juneau w/a rental car
reallyitsmema replied to Veetravels's topic in Alaska
We have rented from there in the past. I am glad to see that they are back! -
I would just book it. I ran into a similar issue on Mariner a few years ago. I couldn't book any balcony for two but when I tried for three, there were lots of balconies, including 1688 which is what I wanted. I was actually on Serenade at the time, trying to book through Next Cruise. The manager said she would get the cabin released to us but would book it for three temporarily, so we didn't lose it. She actually booked herself into the cabin with us and sent an email to corporate to get the cabin released for two. A few days later, I got a revised booking confirmation with just two of us in the cabin.

reallyitsmema replied to Veetravels's topic in Alaska
Juneau Car Rental is near the airport, not at the airport. We rented from them this past May and they notified us after we booked them that they were not able to get their location near the AJ dock and they would be running a shuttle. Week before our cruise we found out shuttle was running every two hours and call when you are off ship. Once off ship, we find out shuttle is not coming until other ship docks. We said we will take cab, they said fine, car is ready. Car not ready when we got there. They are very nice people but we will not rent there again. -
Oasis changes/getting nervous

Sitting for two hours, waiting for your meal is crazy. We have had an issue in Chops on Anthem before, which was handled without making a "fuss" or going to guest services. We had a reservation and were seated immediately. No one came near us or acknowledged us for almost 15 minutes. Three or four other tables were seated after us and all of them had different waiters get them drinks, water, bread and took their orders. We still had no one come to us at all. My husband got up and spoke to the manager who was at the desk seating people. He immediately apologized to my husband and said he would send someone to us immediately. A waiter, who wasn't assigned to our table, was sent over to us immediately and took care of us from then on. The manager came over later to apologize again and to make sure we were happy. We declined dessert as we had a show to get to but the manager noticed on our reservation that we were supposed to be celebrating a birthday that night and sent something to our cabin. What started out badly, ended up just fine because we didn't just sit there.- 61 replies

If you are diamond or D+, you can have one person use the discounts to reduce costs too. Diamond is one 24 hour period each and D+ is two 24 hour periods each. Day 1, you have cellular for a good part of the day, so no need really to use the coupon, just share the purchased plan if needed. If day 2 is a sea day, use one of the coupons late morning to cover part of that day and morning the next. If day 3 is a port day, don't waste a coupon until you are going to be on the ship. You can easily spread things over multiple days that way. You could also use one of the coupons toward a package for the remaining days of the cruise if you had a lot of sea days.

I find it very hard to believe that anyone would sit in a restaurant for two hours before they got any food. The diner should have spoken to their waiter or management around 90 minutes prior. That table would have had another reservation waiting for it by then, so someone should have noticed there was an issue.- 61 replies

Internet on Alaska cruise
reallyitsmema replied to Gillian123's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We were on Quantum in Alaska last May and the signal was really poor, with at least one day basically non existent. That was pre Starlink though, so I would hope that it was much improved with Starlink. -
We have had water bottles replenished each day beside our Lavazza coffee machine in our suite but they are supposed to be for the coffee. Our cabin steward left bottles each day when he replenished the pods.
