  1. Come to think of it, there was a small boat that was up towards the bow hatch or whatever that door is called but I didn’t think anything of it. Oh well, she’s on her way now.
  2. I guess that makes sense. I didn’t know ships did “drive by’s”. 🤣 Thanks!
  3. I’m in Cabo on Princess and the Panorama makes her way in about 2:00pm which is pretty late for an arrival time, sat near Lands End for a while, then turned around and is heading for Mazatlan/Puerto Vallarta. Wonder what happened?
  4. I boarded Discovery on Saturday, I got that email as well. Ignore it, they aren’t checking boarding times and if they did, it would be according to the Medallion app. You’ll be fine. ETA: I was on the ship at 11:30.
  5. When I boarded the Discovery on Saturday, pushed the curtains back and on the floor was the previous guest’s passport. My room steward had just introduced himself so I went out in the hallway and gave it to him. He said they had been looking for it and it will get returned. I don’t understand the whole “take it home” thing.
  6. That’s what I had too and while it doesn’t look like the original, it was very good.
  7. I’m on the Discovery now, I’ll order it one night and see which one I get. I’m do have to say, I ordered the Mojito Ceviche starter and was shocked at what was put in front of me. If anyone remembers, it was served in a martini glass and actually looked like ceviche. This is what I got.
  8. The Plus pkg also includes crew appreciation & Wi-Fi in addition to the drinks, specialty coffees & waters. For me, it was beyond worth it. The extra in cruise fare for 7 days was $350, minus $101.50 for gratuities, which I pay anyway, $69.93 for Wi-Fi, that left my drink pkg costing a little over $25 per day. That’s a no brainer for me! Everyone needs to decide if it’s worth it for them or not.
  9. I’m boarding her today! Thank you for all of your updates. Hope you had a great cruise!
  10. This was the Pistachio Dome on my September Sapphire cruise.
  11. If you don’t mind, who is the cruise director? I’ll be boarding her on Saturday. I hope you’re having a great cruise and thank you!
  12. Since you are past final payment, they won’t adjust the price but they might give you the difference in on board credit. Can’t hurt to ask for that.
  13. I can't comment on the hotel directly but you can check out Resortforaday.com, they have an all inclusive day pass to RIU Palace resort for $130 per adult. They also have Solimar Resort for $109 per adult.
  14. I don't care about the party but I really want to try that Love Potion drink.😄
  15. I just don't see how it can work with Princess though with the recent email. My boarding time on my Medallion is 11:00 but on the email last night it's at 1:00 based on my deck. They need to figure out how they want to assign boarding, either by choosing a time on the medallion or by deck. Very confusing for newbies.
  16. Definitely like spicy, thank you. Looking forward to trying one.
  17. Is there a favorite bar to get this at? I want to try one on my next cruise.
  18. Interesting we were just talking about this yesterday on cruise critic and last night got an email from Princess about the boarding process for my cruise on Saturday and they listed the times to arrive by deck and said if you arrive before your assigned time, you will be turned away. This contradicts the Medallion arrival time but I’m Platinum so I’ll be there around 11 like I always do. Maybe they’re going to start enforcing arrival times but I think they have to update their email to coincide with the Medallion.
  19. I seriously doubt you or anyone would be rejected if you showed up earlier than your assigned time. People are arriving to port via all different ways. For example, someone is dropping you off at the terminal but they have somewhere to be after so you have to go at their convenience. As another poster said, people fly in day of. There’s just too many variables when arriving on boarding day. You’ll be fine.
  20. I’m going on my first solo cruise in a week and plan to dine at least a couple of times at the specialty restaurants. I don’t think it will be any different than any other restaurant on the ship.
  21. I try to avoid extra sugary drinks. Other than tequila, either on the rocks or neat, and Martinis, I like the Beverly Hills Iced Tea, it’s similar to a Long Island Iced Tea but has sparkling wine instead of coke & it has simple syrup. I just tell them no simple syrup. Its really hard to find not so sugary drinks, even their Margaritas use the sugary sweet & sour mix so I stay away from those. The good thing is if you don’t like a drink, you can just order something else. The less ingredients a drink has, the better it will be as far as sugar goes. Have a great cruise and enjoy your drink package!
  22. Does anyone know how accurate the entertainment staff/comedians listed in Journey View are? I’m looking at it for my cruise next week and they list a particular comedian I’m hoping is on the cruise. Also, I’m trying to find where I can indicate a robe in my cabin on the medallion app and I can’t see it anywhere. TIA
  23. The food on my Sapphire cruise last September was some of the best I can remember on Princess. Enjoy your cruise!
  24. Have a fantastic cruise! Elation was my first ever cruise, love that ship!
  25. The Pistachio Dome is one of my favorites.
