  1. I never eat there, but I’m sure I’ve read several reviews saying that there is hardly any choice in the buffet. Yet again I wonder if the people who write them are on the same ship. Or perhaps they simply don’t look in the right place.
  2. Now that is a whole different ball game.
  3. For some reason, we have almost always chosen the port side on the Vistas. Last time we were starboard. I was all right at going to the right(!) side, but having got there regularly failed to distinguish forward from aft.
  4. The rather zany carpets I do like are the ones outside the spa on the Vistas.
  5. Well, at least if there is a fight, the blood won’t show, I suppose. 🙂
  6. I am amazed - and impressed - you can eat so many helpings and lose weight. I struggle to finish most main courses yet usually return home a little heavier.
  7. Ah, sort of like custard creams with coffee flavoured fillings?
  8. Or embrace the joy of travel and have something slightly different.
  9. Just to be precise, in the UK, double cream and whipping cream are different. The former has a higher fat content. I have never failed to obtain cream to go with my coffee by simply asking if I can have cream.
  10. Yes it was/is a silly design. They just look as if half of them have mysteriously faded.
  11. Yes, the labels and that depressing missive entitled something like Southampton landing arrangements. And then the next day or the day after you come back from breakfast to find the luggage mat on the bed, and you know the end is at hand.
  12. I would have thought someone asking for coffee cream was asking for some sort of chocolate.
  13. The passengers may be more energetic after the first night. Or some of them, perhaps. 🙂
  14. Well, there was I wondering if it were pink grapefruit - or perhaps ham. 🙂
  15. We had the almost the entire BA 747 fleet in storage down here during the first lockdown. I don’t think any of them ever flew for BA again. Quite sad in a way.
  16. I too travelled on her in July 2022, having first used her in 2006 and a few times in between. I didn’t really feel any major changes, certainly not ones that shocked me by being so much worse. Perhaps I am just unobservant. What I have observed is how much nicer the Grills facilities (not the cabins) are on the Vistas, but that has always been the case.
  17. I think one of the reasons many non-Americans are interested in US politics is because the outcome of presidential elections can affect us all, but it is something we can have no influence on, so we’d like to be able to gain some insight. It doesn’t really apply vice versa. With the possible exception of Jeremy Corbyn, the identity of the UK PM would make no difference to Americans.
