  1. I was able to link reservations online just knowing their (my husband's brother and his wife's) reservation numbers. I was just doing it for MTD reservations. I was able to do the MTD reservations for two cruises we are going on with them. Interestingly, in one cruise we are going on with them I can now see their reservation and all related info (their excursions, everything), in the other I just see the dinner reservations. Strange.
  2. Attended a Keith Urban concert last night at UBS Arena in New York. For those not familiar with UBS Arena, it is a new indoor arena built next to Belmont Park (racetrack). The arena is the home to the New York Islanders hockey team. It was a crisp-weather night and a fun concert. Ingrid Andress and Tyler Hubbard (he is half of the duo "Florida Georgia Line") also performed.
  3. I have a different perspective and preferences, but I understand yours and wish you the very best. Thank you for answering the question I posed to you.
  4. With all due respect, we live in a house and would consider moving into a condo. Not everyone is the same. Sorry I asked.
  5. We have one glass of that type as well. There is no year on the drink booklet. We started sailing RC in 2004 so I am guessing from somewhere between then and 2010 but really don't know. There is reference to a 15% gratuity being added so perhaps that is a clue. Ha.
  6. On the subject of mai tai's, I thought some of you would enjoy these recipes from Royal Caribbean. This is a page of one of the old hardcopy drink menus from quite a few years ago......
  7. I am not a big fan of long driving trips but always split such trips with my husband. I have no fear of city driving having driven in and around NYC my whole driving life. On a longer trip we will typically take approximately 2 hour turns. It just seems safer. We also don't drive more than about 8 hours / day. Too many stories of people falling asleep driving. We find it more enjoyable to break it up and go out for a nice dinner. 😉
  8. Interesting discussion. We love South Beach and have not found it too crowded. By late afternoon we have often had the place to ourselves (photo below). We don't care about the meal or pool, however. Enjoy, whatever you do.
  9. Very interesting. We have been able to park in the garage at Cape Liberty on every cruise we have taken since the garage was built. Timing, I guess.
  10. My mom had beautiful red hair. All her antecedents were from Ireland (she reminded us of this fact as the rest of us - her husband and children - were mixed breed Americans - ha). I had/have strawberry blonde hair and 8 million freckles. I am one of six siblings with various shades of blonde, red, and brown hair ... not to mention some of the six with blue eyes, some with brown eyes, and one with hazel eyes. Life is good.
  11. @jagsfan My parents owned a condo in Pompano Beach and I think it was very close to this restaurant you reference, however that was a long time ago and I'm not sure if the restaurant was there or not. We took a cruise out of Miami in July of this year and stayed in Pompano the night before, but we (thank goodness) ate at Houston's. What an experience you had. Yikes.
  12. We did something very similar in July. We had two consecutive Royal cruises from Florida (got off one and got on another at a different port) same day. This was prior to the most recent testing rule changes but FYI they provided a complimentary test the day before the first cruise ended (as mentioned in one of the posts above). I would ask Guest Services on the first ship if you should get one or not. Hard to understand why it would be necessary unless Royal is considering it a 15 day voyage.
  13. We went to Bermuda on Aug 27 Adventure of the Seas. We took the public ferry to Hamilton and public bus to St. George's. Actually first we got off the bus to see the Crystal Cave and then back on the bus to St. George's. Lunch, beach, etc. at St. George's, then bus back to Hamilton and ferry to cruise port. We have been to Bermuda on cruises a bunch of times and find the ferry/bus system easy and quite reliable. '
  14. I think also sometimes one might get a cabin that someone upgraded or did a "Royal up" from. I think this was the case for us recently as someone else's excursion ticket arrived at our GTY room.
  15. Not a ship excursion, apparently (at least per linked report). Very sad in any case. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/us-tourist-killed-in-bahamas-shark-attack/ar-AA11xpii
  16. I think a previous poster was referring to the free loungers and umbrellas (vs. daybeds). See right side of photo.
  17. In early June of this year we were supposed to be on your exact cruise. It was changed the day before the cruise due to a storm from the Bermuda itinerary to a Northeast itinerary. We were given the option of a full future cruise credit and we took it. I am just relaying our experience; does not mean yours will be the same. I hope it does not impact you. We just actually did the 5 night Adventure to Bermuda that sailed August 27th and enjoyed it. Happy cruising.
  18. I have not used an iron in very many years. I either don't buy clothes that need ironing or just hang and most wrinkles come out. I am only suggesting that you do not worry about it too much, although I understand if it a concern for you. Enjoy your cruise!! 🛳️ 🙂
  19. It can go either way. Our experience was one excursion we wanted allowed one of us to book but not the other. When we got on board they put the second person on a waiting list but a spot never opened.
