  1. I'm glad your power is back. My recliner has an battery backup, but I haven't put batteries in! Maybe I should get on that.
  2. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I've gotten into genealogy the past few years; trying to trace both my adopted Mother's family and my birth family. I have a hint of a name for my bio father and traced that name back to a slave owner many years ago; but there are lots of males to trace in that family to try to find "the one". I'll salute Girl Scouts and I was one. No outdoor flower planting yet in this climate. Good quote, although I didn't abide by it when I was working. I like goulash (both American and German). Pass on the drink and wine. I haven't been to Klang. Hopefully everyone remembered to Spring Forward! It's chilly and cloudy here. No big plans for me. I'll just putter around the house and relax. A friend's sister passed, so tomorrow BFF and I will go to the viewing to pay our respects. @StLouisCruisers Thank you for our start today. It sounds like DH cleaned out that gutter just in time! I also started a birthday list but it's new, so I missed Mitzi's . @Quartzsite Cruiser Happy Birthday! @Overhead Fred Happy Birthday to Mitzi! @grapau27 Thank you for posting Fr. David's sermon today. @rafinmd Sorry that the time change messed with your sleep. @ottahand7 Too bad you missed the crew show. Enjoy the botanical gardens and the Chefs Table tonight. @ger_77 Ugh on still struggling to get Outlook to work. Most people I know that use it have issues when they get a new computer. @aliaschief Great memes. @RMLincoln Good to hear you are starting to feel better and hopefully DH also soon. @kochleffel I saw a sleep specialist on TV say that if we picked one time, standard time fit better with our normal circadian rhythms. Although I know people like it getting dark later. @luvteaching Sorry to hear DH is back in the hospital, but good news that he's doing better so quickly. @kazu I hope you are doing ok. Miss you. Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for the Celebration List. Stay well everyone.

  4. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I'll salute Johnny Appleseed. I like tools, have a lot, but don't worship them. I used to do woodworking and also a lot of DIY stuff. I used to use fanny packs, but nowadays use a small crossbody bag. I hear they're coming back in fashion, though. Good quote. I like meat in my lasagna, but don't eat it often. I'll pass on the drink and can't afford the wine. I haven't been to Saint-Denis. It's 30F and cloudy here today, after all day rain yesterday. Big St. Patrick's Day parade here in the downtown area; they will need to bundle up. I had issues again with my CPAP last night; I'll have to talk to someone on Monday. I'm due for a new one soon as this machine is almost 5 years old. I fell back asleep for another 2 hours after posting the Care List! Also due to the warmer temps this winter, allergies are starting early. I'll turn on my air cleaner in the bedroom I think. Laundry today, but I'll do bed linens tomorrow I think. Don't forget to Spring forward tonight! @StLouisCruisersThank you for starting up the FR/Daily today. @RMLincoln I'm glad you made it home safely and had a good cruise. So sorry to hear you're sick and I hope it's not Covid. Prayers that your DH is able to have his surgery on time. Condolences on the loss of your cousin (hugs). @rafinmd I hope your sleep isn't too disturbed by the time change. @Lady Hudson I hope the cruise will be as good as it can be, with no other surprises! @Cruzin Terri Sorry you're still having some pain. 6. @cruising sister My condolences on the loss of your friend. Sending hugs. @Vict0riann Good news that Pat should be coming home today and that you should be able to go on your cruise. Thanks for the photos.
  7. Good morning. Thanks for prepping the Fleet Report/Daily @richwmn. All Dailyites are Awesome! I still see the occasional phone booth, but not often. I do not have a middle name; makes getting a monogram difficult. Excellent quote. I will have a fish sandwich today, no bun or chips, pass on the drink, and yes to the wine. I haven't been to Vavau Island. It's 40 and cloudy. Fortunately we have gotten mainly rain, while north of us there is snow. BFF wants to go to a church Lenten fish fry. Although I don't routinely eat fish, I can tolerate a fish sandwich; I turned him down last week, so I said yes for today and will get one sans bun. @StLouisCruisers Thank you for our start today. I've said for years that it always seems to rain when I get my hair done. Sorry to hear about DB's episode yesterday and I hope it doesn't recur. @rafinmd Good news on getting better sleep last night. @mamaofami Good luck with finding new healthcare. We had a war between the two biggies here regarding their Medicare clients, but fortunately it got settled when the Governor stepped in. @ottahand7 Enjoy the Cellar Master Dinner and thanks for the sunset. @St Pete Cruiser Enjoy the ferry ride and Tampa. @summer slope I understand about being nervous. I still wear a mask most places, even though my BFF scoffs at me. Too bad. @dfish Thanks for the recipes. Good luck with the appointment; I would think since it's a functional tumor they'd want to take it out to stop the long term effects of excess cortisol. @highscar Ewww, lol. @aliaschief Sadly we were a little short on celebrations, so I left you on today, but will take you off tomorrow. Thanks for the memes. @marshhawk You have a busy day off. @0106 That rainbow is awesome. @RedneckBob I followed the clues! I always wanted to be a detective, lol. @Essiesmom That volunteering trip to Tonga sounds very interesting. Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for the Celebration List. Stay well everyone.
  8. Today’s care list: Roy recovering from pneumonia Vict0riann’s DH Pat recovering from surgery Dailyites not sleeping well StLouisCruiser’s family member with a stressful week Cruzin Terri with pain from myofascial strain Difficult days for Jacqui (kazu) Citizens of Ukraine/CA deluged by snow and rain From the rotation: StLouisCruiser’s DB with pulmonary fibrosis Scrapnana undergoing chemotherapy Tana’s pulmonary issues Celebrations and Shout outs: Aliaschief celebrating good health news Smitty34877’s new aide for Tana Mamaofami doing well with balance Cruzin Terri’s bathroom nearer to completion 2 days for Lady Hudson’s sister cruise (Anthem of the Seas 3/12 to 3/19) 7 days for RedneckBob (Celebrity Constellation 3/17 to 3/27) SusieKIslandGirl (Noordam to 3/11), Cruisercl (NCL Bliss to 3/12), TAW1963 (Ruby Princess 3/12), ottahand7 and Lindaler (Volendam to 3/18), Suslor (Zaandam to 3/18), Seasick Sailor and 57redbird (Koningsdam to 3/25), Norseh2o (Oceania Marina to 4/6), and Cat in My Lap, Gail&Marty, Richwmn and HorizonChaser1957 (Zuiderdam to 5/12) at sea
  9. Good morning. I used to have Barbie dolls; wish I'd kept them as they might be worth something. I don't like the phrase "Get over it" as getting over things often isn't that easy and takes time. No need to panic, most of the time. I like the quote. The meal sounds good. Pass on the drink and yes to the wine. I haven't been to Apia. It's sunny but chilly, in the 20's. Tomorrow rain/sleet/snow they say. I don't have any where to go tomorrow, fortunately. I'm squeezing this in before I leave for my appointment; going early due to traffic issues. Then to CVS. My brand name eye drop ($37) is no where to be found; the generic ($99) is available, so I'll use GoodRx to get it ($65) because I need it. @StLouisCruisers Thank you for starting us up today. Prayers for your family member under stress this week. Great photos of Apia. @Cruzin Terri I'm glad to hear that your heating pad is helping your discomfort. @rafinmd Good news about a better night's sleep, Roy. @grapau27 Yummy lunch. How is Sarah doing? @smitty34877 LOL on you and the other grandma dressing Barbie without DGD there. @dfish Thanks for the recipes. @cunnorl Good luck in the tournament tomorrow. @aliaschief Great memes, Bruce. Prayers for the Care List and a Toast to the Celebration List. Stay well everyone.

  11. Good morning. There is no need to be nasty any day. Happy International Women's Day (working or not)! I love English and grammar and in high school used to proofread papers for friends of my DM who were going for advanced degrees. Good quote. The meal sounds interesting, especially the lower carb versions. I'll pass on the drink and take the wine (if someone else pays). I've never been to St John's, NL. It's sunny but chilly here, starting in the upper 20's. No big plans today. I slept well; after I posted the Cares list (from bed), I fell back asleep for another hour! Tomorrow I have a doctor's appointment, and just got an email from PennDOT that the main highway I use will have up to 15 min closures both ways Mon-Fri for work on a bridge that crosses it; until June! Arghhh! @StLouisCruisers Thanks for starting the FR/Daily up. @lindaler Thanks for checking in! @ger_77 Great message to the Daily women! @Lady Hudson I hope there's no issues with Anthem that interferes with your cruise. @rafinmd Good news on your test results, that your feet swelling is improving and you slept better! @smitty34877 Good news from the specialist DH saw; I hope no procedure is ever required. I'm glad to hear that this person will be an aide to Tana, and give you all a bit of a respite. @Cruzin Terri I hope you're feeling better today. @marshhawk I've been meaning to ask how DH's vision is doing. @kazu Thinking of you. Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for the Celebration List. Stay well everyone.

  13. What about using a heating pad? I know when the injury first occurs, ice is recommended; but then heat after a couple of days. And of course just taking it easy for a while.
  14. Good morning. Cruise Critic is loading very slowly today for me; frustrating, so I'm saving my post in Word in case it disappears. I like cereal, mainly oatmeal in winter. In college days cold cereal was often dinner! I've never made a crown roast of pork or eaten it. I will salute the Peace Corps again. I like the quote, although both quality and longevity would be nice. I like pad thai, and have made a version with zoodles. I'll pass on the drink and yes to the wine. I haven't been to Ulvik. I appreciate any photos, It's sunny today, but our 50+ temps are gone; it will be mid-to-upper 40's all week, with wind chill in the 30's. I've got lots of little stuff to do; paperwork, organizing, etc. Also my traveling partner is having a hissy fit about the TA requiring a C-19 test before boarding, sigh. @StLouisCruisers Thanks for our start today. @RedneckBob Happy Birthday! Sorry I missed adding it to the Celebration List. @rafinmd I hope you can string together many days of good sleep. @smitty34877 Prayers for you and DH as you meet with the specialist Cardiologist, that no intervention is needed. I do hope you can find an aide that is comfortable working with Tana's condition. @summer slope Great news about your kitty! @Cruzin Terri I'm glad you slept well, and hope the pain subsides soon. Do you think all the moving and unpacking was the cause? @dfish Thank you for the recipes. Good luck with the CT scan this afternoon. @aliaschief I hope the new house cleaner works out, and thanks for the memes. @ottahand7 Thanks for the food porn. Do you think people are just wearing masks to protect themselves? @marshhawk Ugh on your jobs not taking out taxes properly. Congrats to DH on the sale! @kazu Thinking of you and you are missed. Take care. Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for the Celebration List. Stay well everyone.

  16. Sandi, I'm glad the physical went well. I recently got another pneumonia shot too. And I'll be due for my bone density this summer, along with my mammogram. When I was filling my pill box yesterday (it holds 2 weeks of meds) I was appalled to find I only had one week of one med. I couldn't find a refill on the local pharmacy app or Caremark. So I shot off a refill request to my Cardiologist and it went to mail order this AM. Kudos to DH on the work he did while you were away!
  17. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I actually like dentists. Frozen food is convenient, especially veggies and fruit when fresh isn't available. Yes to Oreo's (double stuff), although none for me right now. Funny quote, although a bit sad for those of us with no living family (although friends can be like family). I like the meal, although no rice for now. I'll pass on the drink and wine. I have been to Auckland, on my first HAL cruise from Auckland to Sydney. It is lovely here, 52F and sunny. Whew, I'm tired after running multiple errands this morning. I'm just sitting down with coffee and posting now. I can't believe russet potatoes were $2.99/lb at the store! @StLouisCruisers Thank you for our startup today. Prayers for your family member having a rough go. Great photos from Auckland. Good to hear your bloodwork was normal and I hope the physical is too. My walkways need to be power washed; I haven't done it for a few years. @smitty34877 It sounds like you're doing well with the dog walks. Thinking of Tana. @rafinmd Great that you slept better last night. I never knew about that coast to coast walk in NZ. @aliaschief Sorry about the garbage cans. Are there bears in FL? Nice Auckland photos. @mamaofami Enjoy your afternoon with DGS. @dfish Sorry to hear of your pain during the night; maybe due to your calcium issues? @cunnorl The tournament should be fun, and so nice that DD gets to participate with DH. @Quartzsite Cruiser Great pictures. @Seasick Sailor That was kind of the vet. Hugs to your niece. @richwmn Thank you for having set things up so we could continue. @Mtn2Sea Wow on the jump! You've braver than me. @Cruzin Terri Oh no! Praying for you. I hope the mixup in meds isn't detrimental. Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for the Celebration List. Some Auckland pictures.
