  1. They've got their hands full keeping all the small craft out of the channel while the cruise ships leave!
  2. I saw @ger_77 Gerry and company. Now to get clothes into the dryer before the next departure.
  3. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I have no pet to dress up, and have never flown a kite. Organizing my home is an every day, every year goal. I really have a lot of "stuff" that I need to donate or sell; I'm working on it! Somewhat true quote. I love Shepherd's pie, and try to lesson carbs by using cauliflower mash on top. I'll pass on the drink and I'd like the wine but can't afford it. I haven't been to Cartegena, Spain. It's 26F with a wind chill here, and we got about 1" of snow overnight. I will be inside. Laundry time this afternoon and maybe steam cleaning the kitchen floor; fun times, lol! Plus watching playoff football. @atexsix Bruno, good to hear that things are stable with you and Dear Dad. @aliaschief Enjoy Tortola. @grapau27 I hope Sarah isn't in too much pain. @Seasick Sailor Enjoy the last leg of the cruise! Sorry to hear of that gentleman's accident, but it sounds like HAL and the medical center stepped up to deal with it well. @Cruzin Terri Good to hear your furniture arrived and you like it. Moving things from the apartment to the house will be time consuming, but you can take your time. @smitty34877 Great that you successfully took the dogs for a walk; continue to be careful! Thanks for the vegetarian version of shepherd's pie. @StLouisCruisers Nice to have all your communication restored, isn't it? Great photos from Cartegena. @cat shepard So sorry to hear about your friend's daughter's fiancé . @Quartzsite Cruiser Lovely Cartegena pictures. Wow on that kite! It's beautiful. @kazu I hope your pain subsides soon; I'm sure you're looking forward to seeing your doctor for advice and treatment. And yay for having great neighbors! @Cruising-along Enjoy the grandsons' visit. Good to hear the roof work is starting on you neighbor's house. It's been a long wait for her. Thanks for the Cartegena photos. Prayers for the Care List and a Toast to the Celebration List. Stay well everyone.
  4. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Friday the 13th Fleet Report/Daily. I try not to be too skeptical. I hope everyone's dreams come true. I'll salute national rubber ducky day; we had a large one here a few years ago, on the river. Good quote. I'll pass on the meal (not big on salmon), and drink; yes to the pinot noir if someone buys it for me. I haven't been to Nafplio, but I have been to the Acropolis at Mycenae. It's colder here today, in the low 30'sF, with snow flurries. Not much on my agenda, just continuing to try to organize the house. I find I don't get as much done on dull, dreary days; I prefer sunlight coming into the house. @ottahand7 Enjoy Lima. And that meal looks great. @grapau27 Continued prayers for Sarah, you and Pauline. @StLouisCruisers I'm glad to hear you were safe from the tornados. Scary! @kazu Wonderful to see you posting on the Daily! Thank goodness for you neighbor driving you to do errands you needed to do, and other neighbors helping you out. And I'm glad you got your luggage back. Prayers for less pain and good healing. @aliaschief Thanks for the food photos. @smitty34877 I'm glad your niece and family are ok. Thanks for the picture of Camilla; she's a big girl now! @*Miss G* Thanks for the Nafplion photos. @rafinmd Thanks for our lists. Condolences on the loss of the firefighter's son. @Quartzsite Cruiser Good news that the heat pump is still working. Lovely Nafplion photos. @marshhawk Good that you're ok from the storms. Sorry to hear about the serious nosebleed. @Cruising-along I just got Netflix about a month ago; first I binge watched The Great British Baking Show, now I'm on to The Crown. Thanks for the Nafplion photos. @Cruzin Terri Good that the house is coming along, although I'm sorry you and Jim have been on your own recently. I hope the PMR quiets down; are you back on Prednisone? @USN59-79 I'm glad the leg is coming along well and you no longer need the bulky boot. Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for the Celebration List. Stay well everyone. In honor of Rubber Ducky Day, a photo of one on the Ohio River.
  5. I do know there is a train from Schiphol to Rotterdam. There's lots of discussion over on the Celebrity roll call for this April TA. Many had plans to stay a few days in hotels in Amsterdam. Supposedly there may be a bus provided by the cruise line to Schiphol, for a fee, due to the change. The train station is about 2km from the cruise port, and there's a subway close to the port that goes to it. But some are worried about schleping suitcases on the train, and are looking into renting vans and going in groups to Amsterdam. I can't find anything online about the work on the docks in Amsterdam; it was just reported on the roll call. I know last year there were issues due to low water levels.
  6. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily and to all contributors. Hmmm, Fabulous Wild Men 😗? I occasionally have hot tea, and certainly pharmacists are deserving of lots of praise. Good quote. Interesting meal. I'll pass on the drink and yes to the wine. I haven't been to Benoa. We've been having all day rain, with thunder. It's grey and dreary out. As the temps drop, the rain is supposed to change over to snow overnight; I don't think much accumulation is expected. I've been busy sorting through papers to start to get ready for tax season. Of course I don't have much in yet from banks and the like regarding interest and dividends. I'll send it all to my accountant once I have everything. The debarkation port on the TA has been changed from Amsterdam to Rotterdam; supposedly due to construction on the docks. @Seasick Sailor Beautiful flowers. @grapau27 Continued prayers for Sarah and her medical team, as well as you and Pauline. I hope the injections and rest fix her up. Wow on that usual wait for the injections; at least he is getting them sooner for her. @aliaschief That looks like a great time! And wonderful views of Domenica. @ocean sounds Thanks for joining in today. @StLouisCruisers Great Benoa photos. Stay safe from the weather! @Quartzsite Cruiser Thanks for the Bali pictures. @ottahand7 Happy Birthday month! @kazu I hope you're resting and that your wayward luggage makes it home soon. Prayers for the Care List. I hope Kathi @Scrapnana made it home safely. Cheers for the Celebration List. Stay well everyone.
  7. Jacqui, I didn't try. This was on a river cruise in Russia. They thought since they were Russian based, even though they had a Boston office, they could ignore me. And maritime cases are different, and require a lawyer versed in that. They sent me a check for $9! Eventually the case went to arbitration. The doctor on the ship said (through an interpreter) that my numb face was from the ice pack, when I knew it was from nerve damage (I still have some residual numbness and the accident was in 2008). I was hit by the weighted end of a line being thrown to the dock.
  8. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I never have learned morse code. I won't step in a puddle and splash anyone! Human trafficking prevention is important. Good quote. I like the meal, although with multiple meats it can be expensive to make. Pass on the drink and wine ($$$). I've never been to Turks and Caicos. It's 39F with some rain later today. It's also somber as a beloved Police Chief, from a neighboring small town, is being laid to rest. He was 46 and leaves behind a wife and 4 kids. He was shot and killed while chasing a suspect last week. There is a huge presence at the service of community and law enforcement, and local news is showing the funeral on tv. @grapau27 Prayers for Sarah as she goes through testing. She's fortunate to have you and Pauline for support. @ottahand7 I hope both you and DH feel better soon. Thanks for the photos. @StLouisCruisers Happy Birthday to Ren! And I'm sure he's thrilled to be near to getting his driver's license. Thanks for the pictures of Grand Turk and of the "baby". @cat shepard Good to hear that Bindi is doing well. @dfish Good going on the exercise! @Overhead Fred Nice photos. @kazu I hope you're home and resting today. Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for the Celebration List. Stay well everyone.
  9. Jacqui @kazu I'm so glad you had a good orthopedic surgeon and are heading home. I hope you heal quickly. I was injured in 2008 on a cruise and had a fractured eye socket, which required surgery when I got home. The cruise line ignored me. I had to get a bulldog lawyer, who got me compensation eventually.
  10. Good evening. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily @richwmn @rafinmd. Bittersweet chocolate is ok for baking, but I prefer milk chocolate for eating. I appreciate houseplants and some peculiar people. Interesting quote. I like the meal, and wine; pass on the drink. I've never been to Bar Harbour. I'm very late today. Just wasn't able to get to my computer. Good news about @kazu Jacqui flying home and @Scrapnana Kathi's daughter flying down to take her home. @StLouisCruisers Thinking of you on this anniversary of your Mother's passing. Happy engagement anniversary! Congrats to your niece on the quick sale of her house. Nice Bar Harbour photos. @cunnorl Congrats on 4 star and the SA/Antarctica cruise! @aliaschief Nice food porn. @Cruzin Terri I hope your flareup settles down quickly. And good that you're getting moved in, although sorry Service Master cancelled on you today. I hope you can move in permanently soon. @smitty34877 Best wishes for continued recovery. I hope you find just the right aide for Tana. @richwmn Wow on lightning striking the Zuiderdam! @HAL Sailer Prayers for DSIL's peaceful transition. @Quartzsite Cruiser Happy 45th Birthday to DD! Thanks for the Bar Harbour photos. @luvteaching Good to hear that DH is improved. @Cruising-along You're showing DSIL a great time. @Sharon in AZ Oh my on Blue having to have so many teeth removed. Poor baby! Nice pictures. @marshhawk Good thing you were there to be DH's advocate and I hope the infection clears right up. As well as Bubbles' infection. @dfish Thanks for the recipes and the pictures. Prayers for the Care List and a Toast to the Celebration List. Stay well everyone.
  11. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily @rafinmd @richwmn. I certainly appreciate law enforcement for the tough job they have. Balloon ascension Day - haven't ever been on one. Choreographers are brilliant artists. True quote. I just had pork and sauerkraut on New Year's Day and leftovers a few days later. I'll pass on the drink and yes for the wine. I haven't been to Bornholm Island. It's chilly but sunny here today. I still need to put away outdoor Christmas decorations as I didn't get to it over the weekend. @aliaschief I like the taste of Germany menu. @Seasick Sailor Sorry to hear your last 2 dinners were a let down; I hope they do better. @luvteaching I'm glad you were proactive in getting treatment for your DH. I hope he feels better quickly. @Vict0riann Thanks for the updates on @kazu Jacqui and it sounds like good news! @Cruising-along It sounds like good family time! @Copper10-8 Great photo and thanks for having been in law enforcement! Prayers for @kazu @Scrapnana and all on the Care List. Cheers for the Celebration List. Stay well everyone.
