  1. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily and to all contributors. I've never had a blonde brownie, no cat here, and I will stay inside due to the cold and coming snow today. Great quote. I like the meal, although maybe using cauliflower rice or brown rice. I will be making pork chops tonight. Pass on the drink and yes to the wine if someone buys it for me! I haven't been to Astoria. It's chilly and grey today, with snow coming this evening. The rain/snow cutoff line keeps moving, so hard to estimate how much snow, but only 1"-2" likely. No special plans other than watching football. My lab results from Friday are trickling into the electronic health record and seem pretty ok. Terrible to hear about the mass shooting in California near the Lunar New Year celebration. @grapau27 Thank you for Fr. David's sermon today and showing us St. Paul's Church. I hope Sarah is continuing to feel better. @MISTER 67 Good to see you checking in, and good luck getting your golf swing back to where it was. @aliaschief I hope the cold symptoms remain mild. @rafinmd Thanks for starting us up and our lists. @StLouisCruisers You can check on your passport application online. It's a pain, as they have to send you a number in email as a security check. Then all it says is "in progress", so that really doesn't tell you much. And Happy Birthday to Tyler! @Heartgrove Bon Voyage! @durangoscots Oh my on the van being stolen with scotties inside, but a happy ending. Sad about the Bumble. Prayers that your niece and her family are safe. @Cruising-along Thanks for the photos of Astoria. Prayers for Patricia and all the family; an awful decision to be made about taking her off life support, but necessary with no chance of brain recovery. Happy Chinese New Year! (\_/) ( *.*) /> 🍦 Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for the Celebration List. Stay well everyone.
  2. I was wondering the same. I submitted my renewal application online on December 28th. I held my breath that the photo would be accepted. It got past their computer scrutiny, but it said a state department official would still check it. I know it's not even 4 weeks yet for mine.
  3. No toots. That's it for me. Thanks to the camera operators and all sail-away addicts. Prayers for @Scrapnana Kathi.
  4. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily @rafinmd and @richwmn. I'm a day off on hugging; no one here but me, but BFF got a hug yesterday for taking me to my test and back home. I have too many squirrels in my yard, who bury and dig up acorns from my neighbors' oak trees. In my first house squirrels chewed through the wood fascia and got in the attic. I had them humanely removed, and the fascia covered with aluminum siding. One-liners can be amusing or groaners. Excellent quote. I like the meal, pass on the drink, and yes to the wine. I haven't been to Cannes. It's cloudy and in the mid-30's here now. I think dry today, but rain/snow tomorrow. No special plans here today, other than maybe some food prep and the never-ending tidying up. @cunnorl Enjoy your golf game. @Lady Hudson It's good to hear that DH is halfway done with his dental work. @Crazy For Cats Good deal on free eggs. Since I do lower carbs, I eat a lot of eggs or egg whites. The price in the grocery store is shocking for a dozen eggs! @StLouisCruisers Thanks for the Cannes photos. Happy Birthday tomorrow to DGS. @mamaofami I hope you find your glasses. @smitty34877 I'm happy to hear Tana is getting better, but sorry about the horrible cough. I hope you and she can get better rest soon. @kazu Ugh on the bad weather. Sorry the cast is so annoying. Hard decision about the May cruise. @Heartgrove Bon Voyage tomorrow! @dfish Thanks for today's recipes and Happy Birthday to Bill. @2inSETexas Welcome to the Fleet/Daily! @grapau27 Good news that Sarah is feeling much better. @Quartzsite Cruiser Thanks for the pressure cooker chicken cacciatore recipe. Great Cannes photos. @Cruising-along Continued prayers for Patricia. @ocean sounds Funny how the dogs wait until the squirrel finishes, before chasing him. Prayers for the Care List and a Toast to the Celebration List. Stay well everyone.
  5. Good evening all. I'm back home. The GI lab called about 12:25 and said they had a cancellation, could I be there at 1 instead of 2:15; I told them I'd try, but my ride had to travel to my house then to their office. BFF and I got there about 1:15. The nurse anesthetist got the IV in on the 2nd stick, so not too bad. The procedure was fine, although the propofol burned like crazy going into that tiny vein he got. Results look ok, so they think it's "functional", sort of like irritable bowel, but of the upper GI tract. I'll see what is the recommended treatment when I see my GI PA next month. I drank some water post procedure and decided to go next door to the lab, where they got me on the first stick! Yay.
  6. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. All good days. I like buttercrunch, cheese and penguins! Cute quote. I'll pass on anything tofu, the drink and the wine. I was in Puerto Vallarta on my PC cruise from LA to NY. It mid-30's here with snow showers off and on. There was rain with thunder and lightning, last night; unusual for January. I'm nothing by mouth for my test this afternoon, and of course I'm thirsty! And not being able to drink will make my already bad veins even harder to find for my bloodwork and my test. @Cruising-along I am so sorry to hear Patricia's condition and prognosis. Prayers for her and the family. @ottahand7 Thanks for the La Serena photos from your cruise. @mamaofami I hope the thermostat is fixed, and that you find a good new pain doctor. @StLouisCruisers Thanks for the link and your photos from PV. @GTVCRUISER Nice photos. @Colorado Klutch Welcome to the Daily! @marshhawk I hope Neko is ok and it's only an infection. Congrats on the big sale! @kazu I hope your arm pain is tolerable. @Quartzsite Cruiser Great photos. @GeorgeCharlie Love the penguin photos. Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for the Celebration List. Stay well everyone. Some photos from Puerto Vallarta aboard NCL Bliss in 2019. Coming into the port Day of the Dead decorations along the Malecon (boardwalk) Triton and Mermaid Statue The Boy on the Seahorse Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe Dona Engracia Tequila Factory NCL Bliss in Puerto Vallarta
  7. Carolyn, so sorry to hear this news. Lupus can cause terrible health issues. And then to have this arrest during surgery is just tragic. Prayers for her and the whole family.
  8. Good morning. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I like popcorn. Tin cans are good for me to stock my pantry with long-lasting goods. I will celebrate the new friends I've made here on The Daily! I like the quote. I like the meal, but not for tonight. I'll be nothing by mouth after midnight until my test at 2:30 tomorrow! Love hurricanes, and I have my glass for it from NOLA. I'll pass on the wine. I haven't been to Kusadasi. It's in the 40's here now, but rainy and grey. A cold front is due to come in this evening, with possible thunderstorms, then rain changing to snow. I don't think much accumulation so my trip to get my endoscopy tomorrow should be ok. I had a bit more reaction to my injection yesterday, and had to take extra Benadryl. I took a non-sedating antihistamine this morning, so I wouldn't be so sleepy today. @rafinmd Thank you for starting us up and our lists. Hopefully @Scrapnana Kathi has a more easily treatable form of MM. I had some abnormal protein found and see a hematologist; fortunately MM has been ruled out so far, after a bone marrow test and skeletal survey. But it was a scary time and I still get follow-up tests (getting some tomorrow). @RedneckBob Thanks for the photos. I'd love to visit there. @Mr. Boston Congrats on your coming retirement! @kazu Sorry about the cast, but whatever gets you back to complete function has to be endured. And I'm glad you got to see your previous Ortho doc. @StLouisCruisers Wonderful photos. @aliaschief I hope all goes well with the cardiology evaluation. @cruising sister Welcome to the Daily. @smitty34877 That would be frightening, hearing the smoke alarm in the middle of the night. I hope Tana is continuing to feel better. @marshhawk I hope DH's eyelid surgery helps a lot. @Quartzsite Cruiser Great photos. Prayers for the Care List and Ukraine, and Cheers for the Celebration List. Stay well everyone.
  9. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I used to love my thesaurus when in school and writing papers. I'll salute Winnie the Pooh, although I confess I've never read it. I like good gourmet coffee, but the beans, not the froufrou drinks. Somewhat agree with the quote. The meal sounds good, maybe with cauliflower rice. Pass on the drink and wine (only because $$$). I haven't been to Monterey. Another rainy, gloomy day here. I got the last of the outside decoration inside yesterday, although not put away. I'll be sleepy today, as I had to premedicate with Benadryl before my injection. I might be in the recliner soon, although I'm not a nap person (wish I could do it, but never can unless I have a fever). Strange insurance issue. One prescription is $111 via mail order, but only $37 for the same amount at the local pharmacy. @Seasick Sailor Enjoy St. Maarten. @cat shepard Thanks for the wine recommendation. Unfortunately our state run wine and spirits stores don't carry it. @kazu It sounds like you new doctor is on the ball, and yay to her getting you squeezed in today with the Ortho doc. Prayers for a decrease in your pain. @smitty34877 Good to hear that Tana is feeling like eating today and that you're getting around pretty well. @aliaschief I'm glad you made it home safely. I hope only good news from the Echo tomorrow. @Heartgrove Good news on A1C improvement! @rafinmd Thank you for our lists. PA's first ever black Lt. Governor was sworn in yesterday. @grapau27 Good news that Sarah is feeling better today. @Cruising-along Prayers for safe travels for DD and family. Thanks for the Monterey photos. Prayers for the Care List and a Salute to the Celebration List. Stay well everyone.
  10. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I won't be ditching my New Year's resolutions today (decluttering the house, watch carbs more closely and be more physically active). I'll salute kid inventors, but not bootleggers. Like the quote. Funny, I was going through binders of recipes yesterday, and came across a couple of lamb ones. Growing up, my DM made leg of lamb often for Easter (lots of garlic, no mint jelly). I'll pass on the drink and wine. I've never been to Nukualofa. It's foggy and rainy, but warmer today. I was thinking of running to Aldi today, but right now my stomach is bothering me a bit. I have an upper endoscopy scheduled for Friday, plus getting blood drawn for 3 different specialists. @rafinmd Thank you for your faithfulness in getting us started while @richwmn is cruising. @ottahand7 That looks like a fun day yesterday. @aliaschief Safe travels home! @grapau27 Continued good thoughts for Sarah. @StLouisCruisers Sorry to hear about the cruise conundrum. It would be no fun trying to avoid them the whole cruise, but it could be done; and you don't want to cancel something you've been looking forward to. So ... @AncientWanderer I'm glad you had a good cruise. And good news on finding a temporary house for DD and family. @smitty34877 Wonderful news that Tana is feeling a little better. @kazu Be careful, and I hope the doctor can help with your issues at the visit today. @cunnorl Thanks for the Tonga photos. @Lady Hudson Doing the same as you; best of luck to both of us! I can't tell you how many sizes are in my closet (although I intend to donate some). @richwmn Thanks for checking in! And for the database Roy is using to post the Fleet Report/Daily. @Cruising-along I hope DH feels ok after his treatment is done today; at least the end is in sight! @durangoscots Wow on the snow. We are way under our usual snow totals here (hope I didn't jinx myself!). @Vict0riann Good to hear that you're feeling better today, but sorry to hear about the colitis flare and need for a liquid diet. @Sharon in AZ Congrats on booking the solo cruise. Prayers for the Care List and Cheers for those with something to Celebrate. Stay well everyone.
  11. Good afternoon. Thanks for the Fleet Report/Daily. I appreciate fictional dragons (thinking of GOT). I'm working on doing nothing much today, if I can! I will salute MLK. Agree with the quote. The meal sounds good, pass on the drink and the wine sounds good but is too pricey. I haven't been to Hiroshima City. Another sunny day here, and somewhat warmer (40F now after 19 when I woke up). But rain is set to return overnight. @ottahand7 Sorry there had to be a medical evacuation last night. @aliaschief Yum, I would have liked a Chinese dinner night. @dfish Those recipes look good. @smitty34877 Continued prayers for Tana. I'm sure it's indeed scary when she is struggling. @Cruzin Terri There's lots to be done, but just take your time. Sorry to hear about the TV and I hope they replace it for you. @rafinmd Thank you for starting us up today, and our lists. @StLouisCruisers Sad to see the property damage, but hopefully no lives lost. You are blessed to not have been affected. @durangoscots Stay safe with all that snow! @grapau27 I hope Sarah is not in severe pain. Any word on a date for the injection? @Cruising-along Cost aside, new appliances are always fun. Although some are so complicated these days. @Quartzsite Cruiser Thanks for the Hiroshima photos. For MLK Day:
