  1. Please don't name Travel Agents in your posts, Thank you
  2. It might be worth asking on the P&O board. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/22-po-cruises-uk/ This is what their website says Passports P&O Cruises guests can board and travel to EU countries* if their passport was issued less than 10 years before the day of embarkation and still has at least three months left before the date of expiry of the passport, as at the date of disembarkation (regardless of whether or not the passport has an extension period).” For cruises that travel outside the EU and in line with the requirements of many of these countries, guests are required to have six months validity left on their passports.
  3. I'm not sure when QM2 last sailed at 35 knots, probably sea trials!
  4. It depends on itinerary but we only had 3 in 14 nights on Queen Victoria last year.
  5. Congratulations on the booking and good luck for the drive !
  6. We sailed from Southampton to Liverpool in July 2019. According to my notes we were around 2 hours late sailing from Southampton and we started our sail into the Mersey at around 10pm the next day.
  7. I have the email version Cunarder_Summer_23.pdf
  8. I've moved the recent Cunard posts to the thread on the Cunard board
  9. Quite understandable .... I'm due to sail on June 9th so I know the feeling !
  10. There is an option on the website to search sold out sailings, it's quite normal for them to disappear from the normal search when they are sold out.
  11. If you are in the main Dining room and the Maitre D' is doing their job they won't be sitting next to you !
  12. There are certainly lots of Carnival shareholders here, it's a good deal if you travel regularly.
  13. It's certainly a good reminder of this comment in our guidelines - "On our Cruise Boards, this information may sometimes provided by our volunteer Community Hosts and more often by other contributors, the majority of whom use anonymous user names and are people we've never met. You have no idea who they are, what they do, or what their agenda could possibly be -- and neither do we. The only requirement for membership is a valid e-mail address. We recognize that while we have tons of great stuff in this forum, people sometimes post messages on the boards that could be misleading, deceptive, or downright wrong. They may do this unintentionally or, sad to say, intentionally. Additionally, there are many different groups who participate, such as travel agents, public relations employees, members of the media, affinity groups, fan groups, other cruise websites etc. whose agenda may not be apparent since we are operating in an anonymous environment.Treat the cruisers here the same way you'd treat anyone you'd met for the first time. This is important because anyone is welcome to participate in our community. You shouldn't make a cruise decision just because some stranger (or even an online friend) talks it up. Basically, you shouldn't treat cyberspace any differently than you would real life. The fundamental concept is that you should NOT totally rely upon the information or opinions you read. Rather, you should use what you read here as starting points for doing independent research on cruise lines, ships, hotels, shore excursions and bargain-hunting techniques. Then judge for yourself the merits of the material that has been shared in our forum." I think we're all relieved that the 2 month guess turned out to be incorrect and mostly understand that a short cruise to fill the gap is a reasonable thing to do in the circumstances.
  14. Thanks for posting, that's promising.
  15. Thanks for your update @safarigal, has there been any more news on what the problem is and how long repairs might take?
  16. I'm not sure if the Chief Engineer had read the whole thread before diagnosing a pod problem in addition to the Funnel problem.
  17. They are showing sold out which may be significant (or not).
