  1. Queen Elizabeth hasn't sailed to Japan recently so nobody will be able to answer your question yet.
  2. Possibly, but judging by the lukewarm reaction here I don't think Travel Agents need to worry too much yet !
  3. Yes, both due back on April 23rd and leaving again the same day.
  4. Well I've been successful with train and plane upgrades this way so now we're trying cruises ! I'll let you know the outcome. In the meantime this is the small print on the acknowledgement email. There's also an Amend/Cancel button in case you change your mind I guess. "What happens if I'm successful? If your offer is successful, you will receive an email to inform you as well as a new booking confirmation to reflect the upgrade. To secure your upgrade, you'll have 72 hours to make your upgrade offer payment. What happens if I'm not upgraded? You'll keep your existing stateroom. Please note, while you can make offers for multiple stateroom grades, each offer will be considered independently and only one of your offers will be accepted. If you do not make your payment within 72 hours, you will no longer be eligible for the upgrade offered, and it may not be possible to reassign you your original stateroom."
  5. She is sailing from Singapore with passengers but @alc13 doesn't join until she reaches Japan.
  6. Which prices are you using for comparison? Q1 is showing sold out, is the 2/3rd for the move from Q5 to Q4 ? Our current cabin grade and Britannia Club are both shown as sold out so I can't compare but there was certainly a much bigger difference when I originally booked.
  7. Possibly, I guess it depends how successful it is.
  8. QG cabins are still on sale.
  9. Probably, I'll let you know how the process goes. We can bid on Britannia Club and/or Princess Grill.
  10. The email has just arrived so there's the answer ! The only thing is there aren't many club cabins so I'm not that optimistic. Details are here - https://www.cunard.com/en-gb/stateroom-upgrade#faqs
  11. Our next cruise is a direct booking so I wonder if we'll get an offer?!
  12. Sounds like a good time to start one then !
  13. What date are you sailing? Queen Elizabeth hasn't sailed to Japan yet so I don't think anyone will have recent experience.
  14. There's no need to rely on other websites there are plenty of articles on the subject on Cruise Critic. Can you remove gratuities ? Should you ? Cruise Line Gratuities - what's the point? And lots more
  15. Have you asked on your roll call ?
  16. There is some information which might help here Tracing_crew.pdf
  17. We're back from Pembrokeshire, it was busy on the river this morning.
  18. The UK never was part of the Schengen area. Information on Standard Visitor Visas and Transit visa is here if that helps https://www.gov.uk/transit-visa/visitor-in-transit-visa
  19. When you say there's no mention on the Cunard website do you mean it says you don't need any vaccinations or you haven't found that section? In "My Cunard" in the Before you sail section it says- "Travel health advice The health and well-being of our guests is important to us. Therefore we ask that you carefully read the following information prior to travel, and arrange any necessary vaccinations or medical care before your departure date. Disclaimer: Since travel health advice, vaccination and malaria recommendations do change, you should check with your medical and insurance providers before departure and check My Cunard regularly. Vaccine information We recommend that all guests seek advice from their doctor or travel medicine clinic at least six weeks before their voyage, with regard to their personal travel plans to obtain appropriate advice, prophylactic medication and vaccinations prior to travel. Please check below for any mandatory requirements. You will find up-to-date travel information on the UK government funded website at www.travelhealthpro.org.uk" This is the information for Panama from that site. https://travelhealthpro.org.uk/country/174/panama
  20. Have a good time, if you want to eat out at a particular restaurant it's worth booking before your stay. We had lunch in Saundersfoot yesterday and when we booked for dinner for when we're back here in May, the only time they could do was 5.30 !
