  1. Here's a link to the Webinar. This is what I heard: 1. Currently some status match 2. Opportunity do to more 3. 3 different brands RCI, Celebrity and Silversea 4. Status match doesn't thread together and is something we're working on. Starting at 18:12 you can listen....and decide for yourself......what was said.
  2. I was also just denied the Shareholder Benefit. This was the reason "This booking has a promotion which offers a significant discount and is not combinable with the Shareholder Benefit.". Guess if you don't pay published price you don't get any benefit.
  3. Agree....I'm sure he got lots of "hits" with that Topic. The blog is fan based and not affiliated/connected with RCI but there are a lot of cruisers who don't know that and think it's "official".
  4. I heard it the same way and was surprised to see how the answer is now being interpreted. I can't see Celebrity wanting to merge points and up status reciprocity. If they recognized Zenith/Pinnacle.......IMHO it woul be a disaster for Celebrity.....and I'm P on RCI.
  5. The JS on deck 6 shown in purple on the deck plan are J4 cat cabins and are on the bump out. No life boats directly in front of them. J1 cat JS are in dark blue and could have a small bit of obstruction. Where are you seeing that "all JS on deck 6 are available"?
  6. Agree that Covid is here to stay but, if someone is sneezing, coughing and exhibiting cold symtoms and even says they have a cold, why expose everyone else?
  7. @vitacuraThank you for taking us along on your wonderful cruise adventure. We've booked our 1st Regent cruise....on Mariner....from Miami to NYC May 17 '23. We've cruised since 1987 but mostly on Royal Caribbean and more recently Celebrity in the Retreat. We're really excited to try Regent! Your posts with pictures of menus, drink/wine lists, food etc are very helpful and informative and I'm looking forward to seeing more. @2012_Alaska_bound Is there a master list of "included" wine?
  8. I find the term Elegant Casual to be a bit of a Oxymoron. LOL.... and am glad Regent defines what they mean.
  9. We booked this deal last week for Regent. It's not available directly through Regent but many TAs can book it. Concierge Class cabins and below. Rate shown is for the lowet Cat Verandah cabin. We booked Concierge at about $400pp/nt. To us it's a great way to try Regent.....and AI. Even includes a pre-cruise night at the Biltmore in Miami.
  10. Celebrity's Announcement about the Retreat says "Retreat guests will enjoy Premium Drinks, Premium Wi-Fi and The Retreat amenity access as part of their elevated Suite experience." By omission this indicated no pre-paid gratuities or OBC. Clever marketing on their part so they don't have to say they took away anything.
  11. If you already had the bookings then there was never a question if they would be covered. This is only for new bookings starting Oct 4 '23
  12. I've thought the same and can see "extra tipping" possibly not what it has been. If so, it's another cut to their dedicated employees.
  13. With cruisers now having to pay tips either on top of their cruise fare or on their account at the end of the cruise I'm wondering how many will tip "extra" like many do now.
  14. We'll be on Navigator ending our cruise in Manhattan Jun 2 '24. Curious if anyone know if Regent offers transfers to EWR airport in Newark? Does Regent use Pier 88?
  15. New Regent cruiser who booked last week. I was excited to book excursions but couldn't do it online as I would get knocked out after I selected the port. I cleared cache/cookies, tried another browser, tried another computer and even my phone. By day 2 I decided I'd call Regent and book them with them. Interestingly 2 different agents said they weren't aware of any problems?? I'm tech saavy and know it had to be some kind of glitch. At least I was able to get them booked. Now to hopefully clear the waitlist for 3 of them.
  16. Just off Ovation Aug 4 sailing and Capt was Sverre Ryan.
  17. We tip per order as servers/bartenders could change throught the cruise.
  18. Pinnacle have access to both the SL and CK for breakfast, lunch and dinner based on # of Pinnacles onboard a sailing.
  19. JS on RCI are also selling out and are significantly more $$$ than a balcony cabin.
  20. I hope they don't take away Retreat and Luminae from SS guests making the SS like the JS on RCI where no Suite Lounge access for JS and Coastal Kitchen restaurant on space available basis for dinner only.
