  1. That would be making them in line with JS on RCI ships. Calling it a Suite but not coming with the Suite amenities. Although on RCI JS on ships with Coastal Kitchen can dine there on a space available basis.
  2. JS guests on RCI have Coastal Kitchen access.....for dinner only....based on availability.
  3. If that's the direction Celebrity is heading next up will be no Retreat Lounge access and Luminae for dinner only when available.
  4. On Odyssey it's Giovanni's Italian Kitchen and on Explorer it's Giovanni's Table. Each have slightly different menus. We ate at Giovanni's Italian Kitchen on Odyssey and enjoyed our meals there......but not so much at Giovanni's Italian Kitchen on Wonder.
  5. We had the UDP and ate 2x at Giovanni's Italian Kitchen on Wonder. It was very disappointing to say the least. Same menu as what we had on Odyssey in Oct '23 in their Giovanni's Italian Kitchen but preparation & presentation was very different. I loved the Carbonara on Odyssey....but what I had on Wonder was dry, flavorless and unappealing. One of my DH's favorite dishes is Chicken Parm. What he was served on Wonder...while having a large piece of chidken...was dry and flavorless. We talked with the Chef who offered to make me another Carbonara. It was OK but still missing something. The 2nd night we went I had Lasagna. I've never had Lasagna served in a shallow dish that contained only 1 noodle. I'm used to a square layered version. Pics and menu below
  6. I'd love to have a Reflection sailing moved to Beyond and happy that some got a decent offer. Move me from Beyond TA to Ascent TA without me having to pay an addition $2588....and one day less....and I might feel a bit better than I do now.
  7. Hoping that's not true.....but not surprised if that's how it iwill be. Definitely not to the passenger's advantage.
  8. My TA is checking but wondering how OBC attached to a booking if you transfer to another ship/sail date works. We booked onboard and there was additional OBC for a couple of promotions attached to our Fall '24 Beyond TA booking.
  9. Prevailing rates.....that's the clincher as we all know rates have done nothing but go up. Especially for those who booked early.
  10. We were in a SS and love the Retreat experience on the E class ships. Thanks for the good wishes.
  11. No price protection. We're booked on Beyond for Nov 2024 TA and got the notice this a.m. from our TA. It was a 14 night sailing and the options for E class ships are APEX 13 nt from Lisbon at a comparable price or Ascent 13 nt from Barcelona at $2588.52 more than we paid. The Beyond was sailing from Civitavecchia so we were planning pre-cruise in Rome. Not a happy cruiser right now!
  12. I don't think it's that Air2Sea doesn't have access to the flights but they won't necessarily route you on what's easy and convenient. It's all about the $$$. We have friends who were in a similar situation and the flights offered were not at all good or convenient to "catch up" to the ship. They ended up cancelling.
  13. from the RCI website - What is the Royal Caribbean Air2Sea program ASSURED ARRIVAL When your vacation comes around, you don't want to miss the ship because of flight delays or cancellations. Book airfare through our Air2Sea program and should an issue arise, our Emergency Travel Team will work with our airline partners to do everything possible to get you to your cruise. Was RCI trying to avoid a hotel night? Hard to say but I think saying the words that "they'll do everything possible" shouldn't be in the description about Assured Arrival as the definition of those words can be up to interpretation. Yes...they will try to get you to the cruise; but not necessarily on the flights that are the most direct & convenient as these flights most likely are more expensive.
  14. I think what's happening on Celebrity is happening on all the mainstream Cruise Lines as they work to recoup lost revenue incurred during the Pandemic.
  15. Thank you for the excellent review. We sail on Eclipse in November and have also purchased the 3 night dining pkg. Very disappointing to hear about both the food fails and lack of decent wines with the premium pkg. We have sailed most recently on EDGE and APEX and they both had decent wines. I do have to laugh....and agree....about the White Zin. Just because it's pink doesn't make it a Rose!
  16. Received Dec 2022 from C&A Dear Loyal Members, One of the great benefits of being a Diamond, Diamond Plus, and Pinnacle Club members is the daily complimentary drink vouchers you receive on every sailing. Currently, the active window for voucher redemption each day is from 12:00 AM to 11:59 PM, which means that any vouchers you redeem after midnight count towards your balance for the next day. We know how much you love these drink vouchers, and we want to make sure you’re getting the most out of this benefit! We’re excited to share that we’re changing the daily schedule so that these vouchers are now redeemable from 5:00 AM to 4:59 AM the next day. What does this mean? It means that your daily complimentary vouchers will now reset at 5:00 AM every morning allowing you to get more out of this benefit during prime hours of each day, including your after-midnight drinks. On top of the schedule change, we want to help you better keep track of the usage of your complimentary drink vouchers, so we’ve added a tracker to the printed receipt that is given upon receiving your complimentary drink. At the bottom of the receipt, there will now be a line of text which indicates how many vouchers you have used towards your daily balance, e.g., “C&A Beverage Voucher [# Used] of [# Total].” You’ll never lose track of your complimentary drink vouchers ever again! We will be rolling out these changes beginning on all sailings departing on or after December 16th, 2022. As always, we thank you for your loyalty and for being a valued part of our Royal Caribbean family. Sincerely, Crown & Anchor Society
  17. Sorry to hear that.....we've booked a 3 nt dining pkg and thought about eating there 2x as we've done La Petit Chef on 2 different ships.
  18. We were on the April 30 sailing of Wonder, had the Unlimited Dining Pkg and experience not so great food at Giovanni's Italian Kitchen (x2) and Wonderland. We even spoke with the Chef in Giovanni's the 1st time (cold, bland food) and 2nd time when Lasanga was served in a very shallow dish with one (1) Lasagna noodle. Contrast that experience with the one we had on Odyssey of the Seas in October where all dining was very good.
  19. Booked a 6 nt all included cruise yesterday. I called today to upgrade the drink pkg and was told $15/day with 15% discount for loyalty status. Since cruise was in a group all included hadn't been added in yet. TA did that and I called back. Agent I got this time said: 1. $20 day plus 20% gratuity 2. 15% discount 3. and the kicker - will be charged for 7 days (cruise is 6 nights) I asked to speak to a Supervisor - agent put me on hold and spoke to Supervisor and relayed that yes it was $20/day and 20% gratuity. No mention of 7 days until I asked what Supervisor said about that - then agent said "in this case it's 6 as the cruise is 6 nights". Vent over and I'll call back again..........
  20. Depending on the # of Pinnacles onboard there may not be a breakfast in CHOPS. We were on for the April 30 cruise with 59 Ps and breakfast was in CK on deck 17....not CHOPS.
