  1. It would be somewhat easier once you make it to Europe. There are cruise ferries all over Europe: North Sea, Baltic, Med…and trains in Europe, too. But essentially, the odyssey would take you a year, and a bundle of money. EM
  2. The ship will not have scooters or chairs for rent. As to whether the scooter would fit in a regular balcony…probably not. You could store it in the closet area if you can get it through the door, but there will not be any outlet there to charge it. And you might not be able to get it past the foot of the bed to the desk area where the outlets are. EM
  3. I would think that the kids would be the same as any other user. But you might ask on the Celebrity board to see what others have done. EM
  4. Another vote for the garden. Deck 3 forward, goes all the way around the bow. Round windows with tables for 2 and a few benches. A great place to escape the hustle and bustle, sit and watch the ocean go by. Most of the people you see are either exploring, or crew passing through. EM
  5. Yes it’s possible. I don’t know about any fees/penalties. EM
  6. I am not seeing any aft facing minis on the Diamond. Just premium balconies and suites on the corners. All minis on Dolphin are uncovered, but I have neverrrad anyone complaining of soot on those balconies. EM
  7. It usually means you used a word or term that is questionable and they will review it before it posts. EM
  8. You have ships in Australia that only do downunder. You have ships there for your summer season that reposition north, to Alaska for their summer season. From the west coast of the US you could take a train across to NYC and catch QM2 to Southampton on one of her regular crossings. I don’t believe you will be able to do this unless you leave from Sydney. Fremantle is not a major port for cruising. You have one regular ship that home ports there, and a few that call there on segments of their world cruises. I suggest you go to www.cruisetimetables.com and explore departure ports (cruising from…), ports of call (cruising to…) and various ships that you come across. One problem you have to start is that many lines do not have their 2024 schedules out yet. But you might experiment with trying to patch something together for 2023 to see what might be possible. EM
  9. But isn’t traveling south to north going uphill? EM
  10. That’s an accessible interior. The junior interiors are tiny, with barely space to squeeze around the foot of the bed by the desk. Deluxe interiors are deeper and have a comfy chair. Don’t book anything on Divina that says ‘junior’ unless you are cruising solo. EM
  11. What are the sleeping arrangements in the Neptune suite? Will the 3/4 Ed’s be a foldout couch? There appears to be only one bathroom. If you get two connecting cabins each person will have their own bed, and you will have two bathrooms…. EM
  12. Go to the forum for Norwegian. In the upper left corner, under the bold print, are links to cruise reviews, and to write a review. And a link to the roll call finder. Below that is See posts about: click on the ship list and you will get a drop down list of ships. Click on your ship and you will get a list of threads about it. EM
  13. Guess you will be buying some souvenir t shirts. EM
  14. There are self service laundries on Splendor. I don’t know the cost. EM
  15. The Crystal ships are not visiting…may never have visited. The line was bankrupted by parent company and ships have been sold at auction. EM
  16. The beds are in an L formation. I found pictures on cruise deck plans of that cabin on Inspiration. EM
  17. The next question is what type of cabin? If it is anything but an inside, the scooter could be parked in front of the couch, which most likely will be used for the third person. Inside cabins have two bunks in the ceiling, the scooter would have to be stored at the foot of the lower beds, and it would be best if the lowers stay as twins. EM
  18. I doubt there are any accessible rooms for four. which ship? EM
  19. I think the best scooter advice can be had on the board here for Disabled Cruising, located under Special Interest Cruising. Have you been back to your thread on the MSC board to at least tell us which ship you are on? EM
  20. At the top of the threads page on the left, under the Find your roll call, in smaller print is See posts about. Click on the ship list and you get a drop down menu with the list of ships. EM
  21. I like pockets. I don’t buy clothes that don’t have pockets, including dresses. I want my pants to have back pockets for my phone. Remember those paper chain garlands we used to make in kindergarten for the Christmas tree? Do that with the wristbands.
  22. Keep in mind that the OP is sailing in the Med and regulations about taking food off the ship might be less strict. Open borders in the EU and all that. Perhaps some members who are from Europe can chime in…. EM
  23. Camp groups are 2-5 and 6-8. The younger group is not operating. If your 5 y/o is vaccinated you can ask if he/she can join the next group, but don’t plan on it being approved. EM
  24. There is a current Live thread that shows they made Skagway on Tuesday. EM
