  1. First transit my DW went along with my desire to go through the canal. She loved the itinerary with a great mix of sea days and ports and it's guaranteed to be warm (well ok hot). She gladly signed up for the following 2 times doing full transit.
  2. Yes you get all the amenities listed in the room descriptions (Blu, PG, Yoga Mat. You just don't automatically get All Included perks. You keep whatever booking perks you had with your original room. And receive the captains club points for your original room.
  3. As others have said there was a time where they would try to apply it to the current sailing (although you could specify to apply to the sailing being booked). As others have said that hasn't been the case for some time. There are 2 major advantages of booking onboard. The extra OBC (over and above anything being offered by the current promo see the chart below) and the reduced deposit on non Retreat staterooms. The reduced deposit ($100 pp) benefit has just got better since the change to NRD deposits on bookings made after March 2. Now if you cancel a NRD booking before final payment you loose your entire deposit (no partial FCC). So with the reduced deposit you are only risking $200 vs $500 or $900.
  4. If you have the reservation numbers have you tried adding them as a "missing" reservation?
  5. I think OP is referring to Future Cruise Certificate and the associated reservation number not Future Cruise Credit. I don't use the book later certificates as I find just booking a placeholder reservation very far in the future is more to my benefit.
  6. This is the one I use. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09RQQG5CZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  7. You get the "All In" Amenities of the upper suite.
  8. This is true. When they introduced the $9.95 room service fee in January they removed the option to order from the MDR menu during dining room times.
  9. Which FAQ # is outdated? Do you have a copy of the updated document? I'll take anything posted in writing on their information site as more reliable than a Celebrity rep.
  10. We found on our SA sailing last March that excursion prices went up dramatically as time went on. Yes there was a "sale" with 35% off at one time where we were able to rebook at lower prices but prices before we booked were quite a bit lower than that.
  11. Interesting. T&C for the current promotion have removed all mention of changing ship/sail date from the NRD text. But the NRD FAQ's clearly address it. What is a change fee and when will it be charged? A change fee of $100.00 USD per person will be charged on all bookings made if booked under a non-refundable deposit fare at the time of changing ship/sail date. Please ensure your clients are aware of the non-refundable deposit terms prior to booking.
  12. It's still going to be 10% deposit on any suite. I haven't really looked. Are they not allowing refundable deposits on suites anymore? Edit: Ok just looked. Yes you can get a refundable deposit but the one I looked at was about 20% of the base fare. $2100+ on a $11000 fare. I think there's going to be a lot of suite availability for far out future cruises.
  13. Then they need to update their FAQs. The NRD FAQ doesn't disqualify suites. The way I read it the new suite deposit policy addresses deposit amount only. The NRD policy covers cancellation or ship/sail date changes. I guess I need to go find the T&C for a new booking.
  14. I'm not sure the TA is totally correct. The new suite deposit FAQ's don't address moving the reservation to another sailing but the FAQ's for the updated NRD policy does and it states you can move the reservation to another sailing for a $100 pp fee. I don't see any reason that wouldn't apply to a suite reservation. Of course cancelling any NRD reservation booked after March 2 will result in the loss of any deposit paid. https://creative.rccl.com/Sales/Celebrity/General_Info/CEL_2_23_23_FLY_Non-Refundable_FAQs_Trade.pdf https://creative.rccl.com/Sales/Celebrity/General_Info/5_15_23_Suite_Percentage_Deposit_FAQs.pdf Also for insurance with 3rd party insurance companies you generally just have to open the policy within 14-21 days of the booking to maintain things like pre-existing conditions waivers. You can open the policy with only the amount of the deposit as that's your total non-refundable exposure at the time. Then as subsequent non-refundable payments are made you have to increase your policy within a couple of weeks of that payment. This allows you to open the policy with a much lower premium, increasing as you make more payments.
  15. You can be "not happy", "PI--ED" off or whatever. This stuff happens with groups onboard. Groups are big revenue generators so no matter what it too bad on you. Like ports, you can't depend on every venue being available on your sailing. Just a fact of life. No I didn't think it was right either.
  16. The current checkin process in the terminal is very fast. So once they start boarding the ship as long as the crowd is spread out some things usually go very smoothly and if you were to arrive a little early or little late wouldn't make a difference. If you are early before boarding starts 11-11:30 then you can expect to be queued outside the building.
  17. What would you do if there was only 1 time. If it is go anyway then I'd book it and check with Guest Relations about 3 days before the end of the cruise. By then they will know how many coaches they are using and you can arrange to get the one that suits you best. In any event they will all depart the ship by 9:30 so you will be at the airport early anyway.
  18. If you booked your suite with Retreat amenities (not cruise only) then yes your Xpress pass should say PALL. A call to shoreside concierge 1-877-RETREAT should get that straight easy enough As far as MoveUp to Royal or Signature suite yes you get the All-In benefits as they come with the suite (are not booking perks). Specialty Dining Laundry 2 bottles Bar Setup Mini Bar stocked with soda/beer. There was a thread yesterday similar about MoveUp to and Edge Villa. Check out my post and the graphic a couple of posts above mine.
  19. There is no need to call your TA. If something is wrong at final payment time they will straighten it out. You should have an invoice from your TA, that's what you owe. It will be up to them to resolve if your balance to them doesn't match Celebrity.
  20. I believe it can be done on the system with no checks and balances for GTY rate code. The issue is that it is probably a policy (which would make sense) that a GTY cabin can't be re-assigned at the request of the customer. Agents doing their job per policy would reject the request as happened to me once. Again I would keep trying, at least 3 or 4 times before I gave up.
  21. These large groups in Blu and Luminae can be very disruptive to other passengers. Please sit at 2 smaller tables and switch. It will be better for all concerned. Generally if you discuss with the hostess and come about the same time each night you may be surprised to see "your" tables available.
  22. The kicker was they still had the regular auctions in Rendezvous. It was a group of Park West customers who were comped the cruise much like Blue Chip Club comps casino players. I'm betting a bunch of art was sold in the Reflection lounge.
  23. Connie crew was wonderful. We were in MDR the whole trip and probably in the top 3 dining experience on Celebrity including many Luminae and Blu sailings. One weird thing was there was no Senior Officers party on the 2 sailings after the TA. The first one we just chalked up to the Reflections (Sky) lounge being unavailable for the full 13 days until 9:30 pm as they had a special Park West group onboard. But the final sailing was the same.
  24. This is a photo I took of 9164 on Constellation a couple of weeks ago which shows the coverage above. Much is covered by steel then canopy then open by the rail. You can still use the balcony if it's raining out. Deck 8 will be the same. Have been in most deck 8 aft cabins on M class. We love sitting on balcony at night listening to the guitar player. We missed it on this last trip as they didn't seem to have them playing there. You won't hear it in the cabin. Edit: this is the accessible balcony so it's wider than 8185 but the depth is the same. No we didn't book this out from under someone who needed it. Guest Relations Director offered for a second leg of B2B as it wasn't booked.
