  1. I don't think it would have any effect on repricing. Say your cruise went down $1000 I guess your deposit would be $100 less. The extra payment would just be applied to your final payment. If for some reason you had to cancel I believe the $100 would be refunded but the 10% of the current fare would be forfeited Edit: that specific case is not listed in the FAQ document https://creative.rccl.com/Sales/Celebrity/General_Info/5_15_23_Suite_Percentage_Deposit_FAQs.pdf
  2. You can reprice at the prevailing rate/promotion any time prior to final payment (in North America). This includes suites. Even NRD deposits have no penalty. From my understanding you can't go from Cruise Only to AI or the reverse without cancelling and rebooking where NRD deposits would have the $100 pp penalty.
  3. None by the bed. 3 at the desk 2 US type 110 3 prong and 1 Type F 220. Photo in this post.
  4. I agree with the poster above. If outdoor space (sundeck/pool) is something you would make extensive use of then Beyond. Otherwise Constellation. There are way less suites on Constellation and the Retreat Lounge and Luminae are much more intimate. The service will be way more personal on the smaller ships with less suites unless you are in the upper suite classes on either ship.
  5. I doubt it. Hull was repainted in last dry dock. Constellation and Infinity kept the white hull. I suspect maybe because they weren't Revolutionized? I doubt they will do a full paint job above the waterline.
  6. I would ask the TA to either credit it towards final payment or offer it as a rebate after the sailing.
  7. They originally were going to be called sunset suites but of course that only made sense converting the M class FV to suites which I don't think ever happened.
  8. Most public spaces have been updated with new carpets (more contemporary color schemes) and the soft goods replaced. The rooms are still pretty dated and can show some signs of wear. If you experience anything broken or not working properly a quick mention to your stateroom attendant will have it repaired promptly.
  9. We just spent 38 days on her last month. I think she is in pretty good shape. I don't know exactly what they will be doing as she was in dry dock towards the end of the shutdown and got a paint job. Maybe at the age of these ships they require the mandatory inspections more frequently than the 5 years on newer ships?
  10. I just booked the TA so am pretty familiar with the schedule. The hole in the schedule is April 7 to April 23. I suspect it will be in Cadiz so there is probably 2-3 days transit included.
  11. NCCF is the "Non Commissionable Cruise Fare". For example my TA gives me 10% of his/her commission as OBC. So if the fare is $1000 adn NccF is $100 he gives me $90 in OBC. Generally the end customer doesn't have to pay any attention to NCCF.
  12. The Connie goes to dry dock after the TA (April 6). After a 2 week dry dock cruises resume from Rome.
  13. Occasionally there are also loyalty discounts. Based on the info you provide you will be presented with the lowest price. You won't know if/what discounts might be applied until you get the the price summary page and even then it's usually encoded in the discount codes.
  14. We just did a B2B TA on Constellation. On turnaround day in Barcellona we actually had to get off the ship and go to the checkin counter in the terminal to get our new seapass cards. It can vary from sailing to sailing.
  15. Yes the Family Veranda category is marketed for 5 people. You have to call to book. They are not available for booking on the website.
  16. This common with the GTY pricing. The cruise only shows the deep discount. The AI price will be the same as the pick your cabin and doesn't have the deep discount. I'm not sure why they even bother to show the AI pricing with GTY, they should make you back out and select the non-gty rate.
  17. Thanks for the Exciting Deals link. I didn't realize they had restarted that after the restart. I thought it was replaced by the Celebrity Selects emails.
  18. Don't get excited. The Dry Dock is only 2 weeks. That's about the standard time for the required mechanical dry dock. I do hope that they finish replacing the bedding in all rooms. I was on a B2B, had the new mattress in a FV one week and then the old one in a Concierge the following week.
  19. Whenever I see something like this I put it on a 24hr hold. Then do the dance with trying to get the price adjusted. Generally even when it's new bookings only they will do it. The theory always was you could just cancel and rebook (as a new booking), well that was in the days of all refundable deposits. Now with NRD that threat comes with a cost (just like it always has with the UK). Used to be it might just cost you the $100 pp penalty and you would get the rest in FCC. Well now you lose the entire deposit so it's much less likely that people would be willing to do that.
  20. These three are often mentioned here. I've used 2 of the 3. Generally cruise policies have insufficient medical coverage (at least for me). squaremouth.com insuremytrip.com tripinsurancestore.com
  21. Oh great, now everyone is going to get a red medical tag from Amazon and carry yet another oversized bag onto the plane. No wonder there is no room for the one legal size roll aboard my wife and I share.
  22. One difference I believe with the free drinks from 5-7 is they are not available in the restaurants as I have heard they are on RCL. You can certainly get one from a bar and carry it in with you. If you have AI or drinks package it really makes no difference.
