  1. Just back from Constellation. The laundry bag offer onboard is $59.99 so if you can pre-purchase for $48.99 it might be worth doing it pre sailing.
  2. Waste of time. There are no price adjustments after final payment. As others have stated, if a higher category room is now available for close to what you paid and it's something you would be interested in call and see if you can get upgraded.
  3. I've had the same thing where I think they "pretend" to not understand. I there's another catch with the book later is that once you assign it to a sailing, if you then move it again the OBC drops as well (at least if you do it after 6 months). I don't know this for sure but I have heard people say you can only move (assign) it once. The only use I can see for those book later certificates is to buy for someone else as you can change all names on them which assigning to a sailing the first time. Bottom line is the placeholder refundable sailing conditions are currently in my favor. Refundable since I don't intend to take that specific sailing, hence the term placeholder. If I'm 90% sure then I will generally make it NRD.
  4. That's why I always make placeholder bookings refundable to avoid the $100 pp penalty for moving the booking. You can change it to NRD when moving it. Probably another loophole they will try to fix.
  5. I believe if you don't get swept into a line to checkin not realizing your are in a suite they will escort you to the small lounge all the way at the back of the hall on the left side past the last checkin counter and check you in there. Just tell everyone trying to guide you to a checkin counter that you are in a suite.
  6. That chart is no longer available. The person keeping it up got in trouble with Celebrity for invading the privacy of the crew.
  7. Do you both use the same email address? Celebrity seems to have a lot of trouble with that although we have not had that specific issue.
  8. Go to the "Plan My Cruise" section. Any Celebrity non refundable OBC will be listed at the top of the screen.
  9. I agree with @Ex-Airbalancer that a move in the same category to the flat part of the hump is a much better location. Where you are that far forward you are going to feel more movement and the location is less convenient. The 3 available cabins that were pointed out while close to the elevators have a wall forming a hallway between those cabins and the elevators so it is very quiet with very little foot traffic. I've sailed on Equinox 11 times generally in those angled balcony's but the cabins on the flat part of the hump would be my second choice. Please reconsider. FYI if your documentation from your TA mentions Always Included or something like that it indicates you have the Bev package, wifi and gratuities included.
  10. He made a point to say the nice agent marked it involuntary so hopefully there will be compensation.
  11. I'd like to believe it was a reaction to the feedback but I really think to was more their ability to command the AI pricing on AQ and above cabins. They were unable to get back to full capacity requiring AI to be included in the lower cabins so they had to reintroduce the lower price point of cruise only to boost capacity numbers. Some sailings they are still struggling to fill the large quantities of "regular" berths.
  12. If you were denied C2 -> C1 upgrade on a sailing after summer 2023 or later deployment you were cheated. The chart clearly shows it is valid on all ship types.
  13. The "Concierge" is now part of a 3 person team. The Captains Club Concierge, Concierge and event planner. They seem to have made all 3 positions very generic where any warm body will do. They do try hard but it doesn't seem that they get much training or support from corporate.
  14. In my case the TA generally has group rates on the middle sub category. If he only has group space in V2 I can still book a V1 cabin at his V2 group rate. Don't know or care about the details. That's why I use my TA.
  15. We had such a nice time at the Sheraton Miramar in Vina Del Mar the day before the cruise we didn't even venture out.
  16. Yes me as well. If my TA has a group rate for V2 I get a V1 cabin.
  17. We got new Edocs emailed to us within 24hrs of the MoveUp acceptance email.
  18. With the new categorizations going into affect his month (new deck plans) C2 to C1 is now a valid 1 category upgrade. They took all the nice rooms that used to be C1 and changed the categories to uber super deluxe superior ultimate veranda so they could charge more for them. Clearer version of the chart
  19. We just got back from the last sailing of this route last weekend. The Infinity was cruising at pretty high speeds (19 knots) most of the time. There is no way they could do the same itinerary and get back to BA. Iguazu Falls We spent 2 night post cruise at Grand Melia in a falls view room and a night in BA and still came out less for the 2 of us than the 1 night Celebrity extension for 1. A couple of notes for people who may be considering visiting Iguazu. 1) The Grand Melia is a very nice property. Public areas are spectacular. Rooms are fairly large and ok but they could have done more renovating the rooms. Still I'd stay there or the Belmond in the park on the Brazil side. 2) Brazil is going to reinstate the Visa requirement for US citizens in October. The border crossing to Brazil was a bit of a mess. We had a private guide who expedited things for us so it was painless. 3) See both sides if at all possible. If not do Brazil side. 4) Mosquitos. Heard that they were bad so we did get Yellow Fever vaccine before we went. Saw 1 mosquito! 5) AEP (domestic) airport is maybe 10 minutes away from the BA cruise port. Don't be afraid to book a mid morning flight after the cruise. We chose to drop our cruise suitcases at the BA hotel we were going to return to before going to the airport and weren't sure of the timing so we booked a 2:45 flight. We arrived at the park after it closed at 5 pm but we were still able to see the falls as soon as we walked into the hotel. 6) BA hotel recommendation Recoleta Grand. Very nice property and extremely nice people. I contacted them months in advance. They agreed to check our bags while we were in Iguazu. They arranged private transfers from Port to hotel to drop bags, Hotel to AEP, AEP back to hotel when we returned from the falls, and finally to EZE for our return flight home. They pointed us to the Western Union 1 block away to change money at the Blue rate. Argentina was very reasonable between using the Blue rate for small amounts of cash and credit card with the tourist rate. View from our room:
  20. I still think my statement will apply "If you don't accept it, you don't board and no refund. ".
  21. They will be able to join you at any CC events you are entitled to go to like the welcome event, officers party, Elite breakfast and CC debarkation lounge. They will not get free drinks at the daily happy hour or any CC discounts.
  22. The upgrade was charged to my credit card on file. Any increase in gratuities were charged to seapass account which was covered by OBC.
  23. Part of the online checkin has always been to accept the cruise contract which has always been the current one at the date of checkin. I guess they have always been able to change it after booking and after final payment. If you don't accept it, you don't board and no refund.
  24. Since you booked a GTY rate it is probably too late to change to an AI pricing since you have a cabin assigned. If the website is still offering the Concierge GTY price with AI you could call and ask if you could "upgrade" to this. Never hurts to ask. Just make sure the pricing makes sense to you. If you don't drink a lot and don't need internet then I'd stay with the cruise only rate and pay as you go. You can get quite a few drinks for the $89 pp/pd they get for the bev package. You can also add the package at any time during the cruise. So you could try pay as you go for a day or 2 and if it makes more sense to add the bev package you could do it for the remaining days of the cruise.
  25. I wasn't trying to say it wasn't the one in force, I was just saying much of the wording looks like it has not been updated like the US one. For example like someone pointed out only the Xpedition is mentioned and nothing about Flora. Have you looked for the FAQ I quoted on the Australian Celebrity site? Bottom line I don't think you would have any issues with 2 bottles pp.
