  1. itineraries and ships shown for 2025 probably will not be the same in 2026. Take notice that ships sailing the full transit P.C. in 2024 are the Emerald and Island Princess. The Emerald is a Grand Class ship which is similar to but not exactly the same as the Caribbean. The Island, which has one sailing scheduled, is a sister ship to the Coral with some modifications. Here is some information regarding the ships. Rather than focusing on the ships focus on the locks. The Coral and Island are Panamax in size. They were built when the only locks were the original locks. They just fit inside these locks. In fact there is only a few feet between the lock walls and the sides of the ship. The ships remain centered within the locks by cables attached to the bow and stern and are guided through by what are called mules, electric cars that run on rails. With the new locks there is plenty of space for the Grand Class ships. The ships enter the locks and maintain centered by tugs. Both are interesting to see.
  2. See some answers above. Does Princess still sell the cafe select package? Think it was replaced by the non-alcoholic beverage package. The plus fare covers unlimited specialty coffees and most other non alcoholic beverages. It also covers unlimited wifi internet, the daily gratuity called crew appreciation by Princess, as well as 15 alcoholic beverages per day. Break even is around 2 to 3 alcoholic beverages per day depending on how many non alcoholic beverages you consume.
  3. Show will not repeat. One evening per cruise.
  4. After dark you are asked to keep the blackout curtains closed so that light does not effect sight from the bridge.
  5. I would not respond. Even if it is from Princess it just does not sound ligit to me.
  6. I can't find any Princess itinerary that stops at Cadiz with 3 straight days at sea before ending at Southampton. Which one is it? In any case if this is the situation then I would plan on the time change the evening that the ship sails from Cadiz. If different dinner plans can be easily revised.
  7. The only Princess itineraries I could locate that stop at Cadiz on the way to Southampton stop at Lisbon the following day. It would have been helpful if we had the itinerary.
  8. Is your itinerary Cadiz on Thursday, Lisbon on Friday? Lisbon is one hour behind Cadiz. It's a fairly accurate assumption that the clocks would be turned back 1 hour overnight between Cadiz and Lisbon. Lisbon and Southampton are on the same time. No changes sailing between these two ports.
  9. Could be something as simple as by arriving a little later Princess saves an hour's dockage fees.
  10. OP is sailing on the Emerald. No concierge lounge. Specially prepared made to order breakfast. Anything you like within reason. If they have the ingredients they will prepare it for you. They get to know your preferences. It may be the best single benefit for a full suite passenger.
  11. Yes, one level of internet use. One device/person is included in the plus or premier fare. If you are booking the standard fare then you can purchase a single device plan. Believe it is $20/day unlimited. You can purchase a single day. I don't know the cost.
  12. I have done this many times. Use Uber/Lyft, taxi, or one of the group shuttles such as Prime Time. These will take you to your overnight hotel or to your friends house. Do not book the Princess shuttle. This will take you to the airport arrivals area. Then you will have to make your way to the ground transportation area to get an Uber/Lyft or taxi to take you to your final location. For two people the services suggested for two are less than Princess for two.
  13. 2. Reserve Dining is in the Da Vinci DR, deck 6 mid ship, starboard side. It is walk in dining. Show up anytime the DR is open and you will be seated fairly quickly. It is open every day for dinner and lunch on sea days. It is also open for breakfast each day. However, your better selection for breakfast is the exclusive full suite breakfast made to order. It will be in one of the specialty restaurants, Sabatini's or Crown Grill. There will be a notice in your cabin about the details. 3. You should receive receive 8 50ml bottles of spirits, 2 beers, 2 waters, 2 Perrier or similar, 6 soda. Call room service or ask your cabin steward to make an exchange. Alcoholic can be exchanged for alcoholic or non alcoholic. Non alcoholic can be exchanged for non alcoholic.
  14. Decks 10 & 11 may be opened by the Captain for scenic cruising. Believe there are no seats there.
  15. Most likely in Skywalker's. It could be in Club Fusion if there are more passengers than Skywalker's can hold.
  16. Something is incorrect here. Does not match the terms of the package. Did you have specialty coffees with a shot of alcohol? That would be charged.
  17. Credits are posted against your on board account.
  18. A White & Gold night. Few passengers wear the W&G. Most wear whatever they have and don't really concern themselves with the supposed theme. There may be a deck party in the Caribbean. Past observations are that a good portion of the passengers wear tropical/island shirts, but they tend to wear them much of the time. So, it's not really that they bring special clothing for the deck party.
  19. It is 12 per person, not 12 per cabin. Also, it has been possible to carry on additional non-alcoholic beverages at ports of call.
  20. It varies by port. Maybe $5 to $10.
  21. 1 x 750ml wine or champagne per adult per adult without corkage for use in your cabin. Additional bottles may be brought on board and are subject to a $20 corkage fee per bottle. Guests are also prohibited from bringing water, sodas and other non-alcoholic beverages on board that are packaged in bottles. A small quantity of non-alcoholic beverages (i.e., sparkling water, sodas, juice, milk) packaged in cans or cartons may be brought on board on embarkation day, only if carried on in Guests’ hand luggage (not in checked luggage). A small quantity is considered a maximum of 12 sealed, unopened cans/cartons of 12 ounces each or less per person. Guests will be asked to discard open beverages in plastic containers prior to boarding.
  22. If you run the numbers for the plus fare you will find that if you drink 2, maybe 3 alcoholic beverages per day you break even. It all depends on how many non-alcoholic beverages you consume. Almost all non-alcoholic beverages are included and unlimited, including specialty coffees and espresso drinks, fountain sodas, juices, bottled water and so on. Coffee & tea is free all day in the buffet and in the DRs. Juice is free during breakfast hours. You will also receive 2 casual dining meals per cruise, unlimited wifi/internet and some other things. The plus fare also covers the new one month old fees, the one time $15 Ocean Now app access and the new room service fee of $5/call. The plus fare is $60/day extra. For information I have always let the auto-tip in place and provided extra cash to the cabin steward at the end of the voyage. That's me. Makes me feel good and I'm certain the cabin steward feels good also.
  23. I have been to El Yunque, the Yu is pronounced as a Ju by the locals. I drove there when I was in P.R. It is interesting. As you drive up the mountain the surrounding area is fairly dry. Shortly after entering the National Forest the area turns lush. The park ranger provided an umbrella and I walked down to the waterfall area. There were people there swimming. It rained on and off some heavy. It is dense tropical forest. I don't remember being bothered by bugs.
  24. Did you have the $50 plus fare? When Princess made the switch to charging for casual dining, basically Alfredo's, they only included those who had paid the $60 plus fare. To my way of thinking this was a poor customer relations move to not grandfather in all plus fares.
  25. Pick up some cap on beers during the cruise and keep them in the fridge for turn around day.
