  1. Just read a post on FB with photos of Maleth A340 interior, look newish 3.3.3 layout and good legroom. Taken at Manchester Airport this morning.
  2. No words are going to help, but life can be cruel, stay strong.
  3. We are getting nostalgic ! We often have Gold on to listen to the oldies, funny how you remember every word. My favourite musical eras are the 60's, 70's and 80's, but then I am well into my 70,s. Some that haven/t been mentioned that I like, Four Seasons, Patsy Cline, Glen Campbell, Carole King, The Hollies and the list goes on, some great music.
  4. We couldn't pack enough clothes for a 14 night holiday. We change at least twice a day and like clean clothes. We either use the laundry service or do it ourselves.
  5. Good morning. Mixed weather, typical November. I like the Beatles song, the Stones, well I've never been a fan.
  6. I've got a similar amount in January on Azura. Nice not having a bill when you finish a cruise.
  7. Okay. I was given OBC, like many, as a sweetener when I booked a Select fare. I also got £150 as a share holder and £150 as veteran, a total of £1050. Either spend or lose it. I hoped that is clear enough.
  8. Well it does ! My point is, to spell it out is, I would spend P&O's money on luxury goods, not mine. Had enough now.
  9. Yes, it wasn't my money !! Anyway just move on
  10. Of course not that was my point. Okay ?
  11. My wife and I bought a watch each, DW bought a handbag, 4 bottles of spirits and other odds and ends paid about £550 onboard Arvia in September. I should add it was all OBC, so not my cash 😁
  12. Our favourite area in Lanzarote is Playa Chica beach, Puerto del Carmen. A small local restaurant, although it is basic, it does lovely local dishes, fresh tuna or sardines with canarian potatoes and a carafe of wine are very nice. A short walk to the harbour is also worthwhile.
  13. Wow, that's bad luck. I hope you have witnesses, too many nowadays try to lie there way out of these situations.
  14. Best wishes to those of you who are recovering from heath issues, including family and friends. Another miserable day after a sunny day yesterday, typical November. Got to grin and bare it, 9 weeks today until my Azura cruise.
  15. My TA gets me a cabin I want so no upgrades.
  16. The offers on the flyer don't tempt me so unless they are better in January I won't bother.
  17. Apologises, not wanting to highjack Selbournes thread but we are in a mid ship suite, Deck 14 on the Azura in January. Is there a problem with noise from the deck above ?
  18. Morning, bright and chilly, quite pleasant for November. Isn't it strange how we change our eating habits on a cruise? At home dinner is between 5.30 and 6pm, on a ship we try to eat about 7.30 on freedom dining, also I eat very little for breakfast at home, onboard I go for eggs benedict with bacon, fresh fruit salad and toast. Roll on Azura in January.
  19. Most believe you sail through the Bay, when of course you sail on the edge of it. In my years in the RN and cruising I found the English Channel and North Sea worse. Going around Cape Horn can be treacherous as well.
  20. There are some incredible deal for November and December, with cruises from Southampton for 12 nights from £550, from Tenerife 14 nights £950, from Barbados 14 nights £995. We are cruising in Jan 24 but tempted to get one in November.
