  1. Mahalo for all the replies. We usually like to ride up top. Both of have a lot of crossings between the Hawaiian Islands on small boats. Me fishing, she sailing. Guess my biggest complaint with tendering is the lines to come back to the ship. We'll go early, she can shop and it's never to early for a beer. Sounds like Arlie is where we'll get off, Yorkey can be a ship staycation.
  2. We’ll be on the Majestic for 40days starting in Sydney and finishing in Vancouver. Wife can take only so much MSNBC . We’ve streamed Netflix, YouTube TV on our laptops and have connected them to the room TV. Just wondering if a firestick will work on the Majestic and if we’d be able to stream our local news from Hawaii or network news stations( not FOX ). I’m thinking she’d use Hulu for her news programming. Mahalo
  3. We are on a 10day Queensland cruise and have something planned in Brisbane and a GBR tour out of Port Douglas. Not too interested in what these 2ports have to offer so here’s my question. Wife she needs to get “stuff” for Grandkids, I need hubby day care at bar while she’s doing her thing. I’ve read both of these ports are LONG” tender rides so which should we do? Mahalo
  4. I was able to stream Youtube TV across the Atlantic with Starlink and did OK in South Pacific using old Internet.
  5. Are you booked with a TA or directly with Princess? TA gotta do it through them.
  6. What I saw on our last cruise was the barstool hogs. 2 would sit at each end of the 6 stool section at the pool bar and put towels on the 4 inside seats folded like cushions. 2 or more would be there all day hogging all the stools, while others did come and go, but it was "their" seats. They prob needed the towels for their rears.
  7. Looks like study hall and the procter didn't show so ditch, just make sure to come back and get your books.
  8. Caribe deck covered balcony rooms, fully covered are C232-C310, and C419-C502, the non corner bump out cabins. Dolphin, D206-D309 and a ccombo of mini's and balcony D624-D724. Aloha 312-623. The Caribe deck balconies that are larger and partially covered are C312-C412.
  9. I've always had our coffees fixed in cruise ships cups at the IC and had to transfer them to my own mugs. Sometimes they'd do it and sometimes I've had to do it. Won't drink the paint stripper from the buffet. Haven't tried the new coffee.
  10. For sailings 25+ days, final payment is 120 days
  11. We too just activated one phone to Oceans Now. We sailed a B2B with the first leg on the $60 and the longer 16day on the $50. We weren't going to pay the additional $1920 for 2 casual meals and those deserts and fitness classes.
  12. We did 26 days on the Regal in Sept/Oct and our service was awesome. Table for 2, same servers every night. Fred and Aaron, even when Aaron went down for a few days, Fred was able to keep up his very good service We are thinking of trying Crown Grill once more. Already 2 strikes. Broke a tooth taking a bite of my wifes filet on last cruise. The Sea Bass keeps me coming back, not so sure wife wants a terrible fillet again. We found the Regal food god, not very good, just good. Did get tired of the non rotating offerings on the lunch buffet. Burgers were alot better than on the Royal. Can't wait for the noodle bar on the Majestic.
  13. Thank-you, we'll just wing it. Are there designated Uber pick up areas?
  14. I've read a few reviews on taking taxis from the airport to the CBD. The booking site I booked hotel on has a "deal" for a pre paid taxi for 60AUD. Are Ubers in decent supply at the airport? Is the $60.00 offer one we should go with? We will have 2 large check in suitcases and 2 small carry ons. Mahalo.
  15. The room service fee is $5.00 . We just had this same situation on our B2B. First leg we had re-fared and had to purchase the Plus 60. On the second leg, 15 day TA we had the Plus 50. Plus 50 had everything except the 2 casual dining options, terrible deserts, juice bar and most importantly the Oceans Now activation. To upgrade it would've been $300.00 for the 2 of us. We decided to activate my wifes Ocean Nows at a cost of $14.95. This enabled us to order drinks or food to our room or wherever we were at no additional cost.
  16. He needs to establish his own account by registering his email along with a separate phone number from the one you used on your account. The email address will then be verified from the separate phone number. It then becomes a valid account and he'll be able to purchase his own cards.
  17. April the Majestic sails a 30+ day cruise ending up on the west coast to start the Alaska season. Maybe USD would be good so crewmember is not left holding too much AUD at end of Australia season.
  18. One is the loneliest number that there ever was. One set of whatever is offered is all you'll get. Pretty Sad.
  19. We are only at 200 days but cruise Princess for the experience rather than the Loyalty benefits. The laundry service has ruined pants that were sent in just for pressing so we don't bother with the "free" laundry anymore. We do like the self laundry so that's a Princess plus. The priority tender service is a nice perk and my wife likes the 10% off in the boutiques. Getting a little back on ship excursions is nice, but we tend to book our own excursions. We have over 100 days on the books coming up and booked for the itineraries. Just like you, Princess provides the experience we enjoy.
  20. I checked my account and CG is $63.00 for our SYD-SYD cruise and 2 days later it's $39.00 for our SYD-YVR leg. Both on the Majestic next year. Our May 2025 cruises on the Emerald also show the $39.00 price. Think the crack IT dept is messed up again.
  21. Mahalo!! I did a test reservation for SD on the 2nd day of our cruise leaving SYD for YVR and the fee was in USD. Answered, all's good. I'll hold the cards till we leave on that leg.
  22. We will be sailing a 10days Queensland followed by a 30day Transpacific form Syd to Yvr. Confused when the onboard currency will change over from AUD to USD. We have cards from AARP as well as Princess Credit card to add as OBC. In previous B2B our folio has carried over and not cashed out after 1st leg. I've read about the exchange rate converting on a non favorable rate. I would think the best thing to do is to deposit the cards into our account later in the cruise as to avoid the conversion. I could see how depositing them early would cause 2 conversions and there's no way I'd trust Princess to get it right. Anyone have experience that can advise. Calling Princess would be a waste of time.
  23. Then it's time to lockdown those specialty dining res now. 2024 or 2025?, our Oct 2024 cruise from Singapore still has $39 price.
