Way before Sail and Sustain we asked for bar soap on Spirit and told not available due to environmental concerns.

Nothing says classier then entering best room on Escape and other than butler saying name, next phrase 'we can't bring drinks to your room under package'. That tells a lot. So much for 'free at sea'. So much for upscale Haven experience.

So you got what you paid for originally?

We went in September. Flights actually great. Left regional mid-day, connected in DTW then direct to LHR. Folks waiting outside luggage claim, waited a bit, got on bus, about an hour ride. Previous folks still leaving terminal. Went inside, did check in, security, then check in again. That was Haven though. Flight on Delta and upgraded.

Maybe maybe not. Sensitive subject. They did that to Dawn and Star around 2011. Never saw them too busy before change but the newer ships seem more popular. Yes, lost public space but added forward facing and side suites plus inside rooms. For the line, much more revenue from rooms than folks sleeping or reading in there.

From experience, the 20% off will be off base fare and an amount that will be hard to figure out and will be the lowest you'd normally calculate.

Seeing same alcove mirror for balcony rooms. I can't say if all though.

What cabin type? Checked some inside cabin pics and see mirrors on walls at foot of bed and one between bed plus bath. One even had an alcove with a stool.

They have the PC sailings listed now. Based on price, no thanks.

Pizza on NCL mostly a miss. Don't expect any consistency from same ship or across fleet. We had great pizza on Star once then next time no. Best actually on POA as they have oven in buffet. Go for room service. Last two times on Prima and Gem pretty good. Prima buffet mostly thick crust, no toppings. One day did have thinner crust.

This has been going on for what, close to ten years across several ships.

Not for suites.

Sorry for the issue. We kind of ran into it on Sun with large group of foodservice distribution folks. Why my work can't manage a trip to sea, no idea. Actually met a family from Dallas at Teppanyaki from the group and very nice. At the end of the day, does it matter who has the lounge? We sailed the first TA with reduced pax and the couple times we went up there it was packed with folks legs up, shoes off, sleeping, and sprawled out. Not a seat anywhere. More like assisted living center.

BC is beyond excellent. Been five times. Instead of missing out of YC dinner, go to BC for lunch when open. BC also has/had brunch on some days. Hola is also great.

Same Coors like 16 oz can as before but different label.

Thanks for info. As far as those off island embarkations, other than maybe NYC, flights very tough to get there.

Welcome to CC. Never bought one. But generally a better deal than NCL. Can say the Mexican place fabulous for what $17? Food beyond excellent.

I really only follow NCL and MSC. I see some cutbacks on MSC but nothing big. NCL, at every turn, everywhere.

Had them Feb. Plenty getting it sans bun.

Be very careful booking NCL. If you are around much and see the trends, not good. And despite the .... some posts all cruise lines doing it..., not like NCL. We sailed Dawn once and Star twice, sister ship, vintage 2002, the ships are pretty nice. Dawn had a big refurb early 2021 and another planned 2023. If you are booking a suite ask away.l

Patrick gets mixed reviews but so do most others. We've had him two or three times and probably the best we've had other than the one on Spirit who I heard is no longer with NCL. Seeka, have not seen her name in long time. Heard great things about her.

Your DH should move in with my DM. She tried to feed us prunes as kids which were awful and unfortunately we didn't have any pets to try to feed them to. Pits included.

Maybe call them mini-suites? That can't be confusing.

They absolutely tag underwear and socks. They use the same Lektor machine for everything. I've got some undies with several tags still on them. They put sticker on waistband. Socks all towards the top cuff. Of course, ymmv, but we've done bags over the years and always had tags.
