  1. Our recent Mera trip I used an old MSC card in the room slot card holder and it worked. New to me was the card had to be inserted left, front side down, Any other way lights worked for like five minutes than out.
  2. We were on the prior two sailings. One was 4,800. Didn't really notice any staff shortages, actually the opposite. We did see lines at OC. Had a great time.
  3. You can do Holas unlimited food for $17.99. Finally tried it and it was good. Too much food even for me.
  4. From several reports here, you don't want to mess with your booking.
  5. There are several (3)?? leaning or damaged. One right by pier, red one. Maybe attempt by CDC to stop cruising?
  6. We sailed Seaside twice in 2019. Really liked it. Yes to card in slot but ac seemed to work no matter what. Dress up not too much. We just sailed Mera out of PC and really didn't see much other than white night. The app on phone does pretty much nothing until you are on the ship. If you want to book something, either use a computer or call.
  7. A gty interior on any line, any ship is aces wild situation.
  8. On Mera same show twice a night. Drink stunk. Show is behind casino so you have to deal with smoke which drifts into front of show area. We booked ahead of time but no dates or time. Asked concierge to book who called. Butler escorted us down and in. Among five of us, Houdini highest rating a B-.
  9. We were there twice a couple weeks ago and four times before. Can't help on cabanas. My general sense is most people stay 4-5 hours. Ships are back to normal capacity. Lines at venues very long at prime times.
  10. Can't say. I can say I tracked rooms for weeks before and within the weeks. Roughly two weeks out rooms started disappearing from a rather large stock of rooms. Whether paid upgrades or bids no idea, but all rooms gone except a couple deck 9 duplex on one leg.
  11. We were just on Mera for a 3 then 4 day. Never saw them. Our first trip no Toblerone yet other two rooms had them. Second trip all had them. One room no coffee maker. Pringles long gone. Bottle of prosecco as part of normal room gone. No paperwork on Diamond, prosecco showed up later. No gift. Meal, just make reservation, never any slip. Had a great time overall.
  12. We were looking at those trips but between work and room not available maybe we will defer a year.
  13. We have not sailed that ship but six others. You can do traditional colored tags night before or carry off your own. Last few trips for US citizens has been facial recognition.
  14. Right, it is the Bamboo pool. We were on ending last week in YC. It didn't seem too busy or noisy when we went through a few times but ymmv. We just stuck to YC pool area. Ship had 4,800. They run fans just inside by the elevators but watch for slippery marbel by the elevators.
  15. I kept looking for it to the north of us but not there then I saw it way over there. we have a spare anchor if they need it.
  16. Yes and no. The first trip we sailed on Divinia we had the non Sophia RS with DD and her BF. We could have booked that but the exec suite was a decent price and looked intriguing. DD was on this sailing as well and we wanted a YC room with separate sleeping areas so we only had two choices. I was fine with no balcony. When we went to lounge butler said he'd take us to room and bring drinks whenever we needed. That was the one and only time it happened. Room was a bit dated. Mold in shower area. I know there was drydock since. Oh, I like cool room and that was a challenge. We had just come off Mera in a RS so we were a bit spoiled.
  17. The program from all that has been shown is a third party group. Appears to be same as NCL.
  18. They started dropping Norfolk last year which didn't quite make sense because you'd think provisions would be cheaper than NYC. Why?? No idea other than maybe pre Sail and Sustain, for your convenience, of course. Getting refund or obc, very low chance. We missed a port in September and they would not even reply no, they just ignored it. I can say we've never been hit for increase if it ever happened.
  19. Us too. My biggest problem is confusing you with boundforsea. I can't recall which spent all that time in Hawaii during Corona.
  20. Our last trip was in one of those three rooms on Divinia.
  21. We've always seen some kids in YC but three of five were summer. Last two September 2021 and not many at all but ships also not full back then. We sail Sunday and see. Our first had Octomom and their kids were a mess everywhere. Even the dad couldn't control them.
