  1. The OP could be from the Marketing Department.
  2. Agree with the above. When the numbers are high, it does not a benefit. If the numbers are ''typical', then you will be told where to report and you will be escorted to the tender area. Sometimes, we went down a secret staircase!
  3. I believe you are correct. An obstructed view may be a lifeboat directed under a room and window washing equipment. We had stayed in a room on the 7th floor which was labelled as being obstructed. If you were to look out towards the horizon, there was no obstruction. However, if you looked slightly down, your view was affected. It did not both us at all but was considered an obstruction.
  4. On our cruise in the Caribbean, most people got off the ship in St. Thomas. However, this one group of 6 reserved these prime chairs with towels and colorful clips to hold the towels. They were set up at 8 am and no one sat there through 4 pm. So the chair hog people were in force. Good thing that there were plenty of open chairs available. Never a line at the pool bar. Same scenario when we were in St. Maarten and Puerto Plata. I was tempted to collect some colorful clips for my laundry line at home. 😀
  5. When we ate in the Beyond, the beef dish that you referred to had 2 items. One was a filet mignon and the other was short rib Wellington. The dish was excellent. FILET MIGNON AND MINI SHORT RIB WELLINGTON* mashed potatoes, vegetables, mushrooms, bordelaise
  6. It was a light gray and blended in nicely with the new color scheme. Very classy and upbeat. Cosmetic changes can make a big difference.
  7. The new sofa was a shade of gray. We had been in the same room prior to and just after the remodeling. It was nice to have "our" room refreshed, just like on tv. 😛 We were led to believe that all of the Aqua and Concierge rooms were renovated. The job was not entirely completed in the Veranda rooms. The common areas were really sad before the dry dock. They did a good job bringing the ship back to life afterwards.
  8. We were in an Aqua Class cabin and the re-upholstered sofa was not white. Our room had new curtains, bed linens and comforter, mattresses, new patio furniture and carpeting.
  9. On our cruise on the Beyond, there was lunch served daily at Eden Cafe from 11:45 to 1:15. Breakfast at the Eden Cafe was not available daily.
  10. We have sailed in the type of cabin that you refer to. When I was on the balcony, I could see people on their verandas. I still have some "impressions' of what was seen. That is a drawback of those rooms. Just look out at the water and you won't be surprised. People can see you if you are towards the end of the oversized balcony. There were no cotton balls in the bathroom. Your logic on the drink package is right on. We usually inform our server what package we have and let them make recommendations. Otherwise, pay the different plus 20% service fee.
  11. We were refused a swap on the Beyond. The Celebrity sparkling wine goes good with orange juice.
  12. For Eden I recommend the lump crab cake or the Carabinero shrimp. We both agreed that the crab cake was the best we ever had. The best entree was the Nova Scotia Lobster casserole, The filet mignon/mini beef Wellington was very good. For dessert, the Meyer lemon tart and chocolate pie were excellent. We went there more than once on our cruise. The service was outstanding in Eden. Enjoy!
  13. Although there are about 600 more passengers on the Eclipse, there is an open feel in my opinion. The biggest differences for me are the Specialty Restaurants, nicer Persian Gardens and the Sky Lounge in front of the ship for drinks and viewing. I don't think you will be disappointed.
  14. Martinis were included on our cruise on Beyond. They were the ones in the typical cocktail glasses. I just stick with the basic ones i.e. green apple, classic, etc. and nothing fancy.
  15. It is located next to the Solarium. Tried it twice on our cruise and was disappointed. There were no grilled mushrooms or onions available. The Spa Cafe is around the corner and food was more appealing to me. I must say it was very popular with those returning from ashore.
  16. Yes and it is Premium Plan service!
  17. When you arrive at the cruise port, there is a HUGE sign that tells you the pier each ship is departing from. You may have better luck if you went to a Princess board and used the Princess app.
  18. As for the Main Dining Rooms, there are 4 and you just show up when you want to eat. No reservations are needed on the class of ship you are cruising. You can go to a different one each night if you choose. However, for the Specialty Restaurants, you need to make reservations and there is a surcharge for them. We book our Specialty Restaurants in advance as we want to choose the day and time. Enjoy your cruise!
  19. The bad part about buffets is when you see the unsanitary actions of people. I usually go to those staff that serve you like the carving station. You will enjoy the MDR. Portion control as well!
  20. On one sea day, the Specialty Restaurants are open for lunch with a reduced menu and price. We really enjoy Murano for lunch on that day. It is a three course lunch. Other places we eat lunch include the Spa Cafe, getting food from the buffet and eating outside, and eating in the MDR.
  21. They are Premium minutes and not Basic. The Premium minutes give you a chance of using video whereas that is not a possibility for Basic. Alot depends on where you are in and how many others are logged on at the same time. Be aware that at times, I was not able to send emails with a photo attached even on Premium.
  22. The Future Cruise Staff on the Beyond was able to make an adjustment to our next year cruise reservation.
  23. JetBlue had been a participant in the program but the program is not being offered at the present time.
  24. We liked it so much that we ordered bottles. We sailed Aqua Class and had the pump bottles in the shower.
  25. I would advise you to check your Your minutes for being Elite are Premium minutes. You don't have to use them up before utilizing your Plan. In fact, it may be wise to hold on to your Premium minutes if you have purchased a Basic Plan as there is more that you can do with a Premium Plan. Each time you log in, you will be asked which of the options you wish to utilize. I saved my Premium minutes for video such as FaceTime as this app won't work on the Basic Plan.
