  1. Presume you used the info@moecker.com With over 10,000 claims plus their rush to close the case, I sure the wheels are moving slowly on responding to other enquirers. They are focused on the large claims and objections that are preventing disbursement of first level claims. , From the public filings: The administrator is Mr. Mark Healy with email mhealy@moecker.com Their address and central phone is: Michael Moecker & Associates, Inc. 1885 Marina Mile Blvd., Suite 103 Fort Lauderdale, FL 33315 Telephone: (954) 252-1560
  2. We must have been on the same Crystal cruise. Same story and glad we tries it again. Please elaborate --- NY Pizza; there are variations - so nothing is as good as a Brooklyn Pizza 🙂
  3. One additional note. Moecker included all liabilities. Some liabilities will be subtracted from your claim like FCC. They are not recognizing this as money -- even though some insurance companies are. Secondly, the exception initiative only includes claims against an Ocean sailing. If you have a River cruise claim it would not be included.
  4. Oh please -- show me the financials of the Heritage Group.... Can you please???
  5. Yes it is unscientific -- but we are at least cruising and talking with past employees. We do not solicit the conversations and I wear shirts with many logos -- including Silversea, Oceania and especially my favorite "Corvette" branded items. The ones that I met where the ones that provided excellent service. In fact the staff on Encore are exceptionally excellent. The housekeeper today found out about my Crystal past only after picking up my tee shirt from the couch and neatly folding it..
  6. Sidenote. Our new cabin attendant cleaning cabin today and noticed my Crystal logo tee shirt. Oh I was with Crystal before they shutdown. Will you return to them I asked. Response was no, not really interested. Unscientific but the poll is now 4 Yes and 4 No on past 4 cruises. Those 4 cruises were Regent, Oceania and Seabourn (2). They included 3 housekeeping, 3 waiters, 2 bartenders. Guests run around the same ratio including some guest lecturers who were on the yes side.
  7. In normal Veranda cabin - included one login per person. So if you have multiple devices when you login on another device it disconnects the originally connected. No streaming or VPNs. Suites get 4 logins plus VPN and Streaming. Upgrade to 4 devices with streaming and VPN is $22 per day. I managed to use the normal internet without any issues for 2 of my 3 weeks. Yesterday needed to access my company servers via VPN and paid for a weeks access. I find this a good way to manage the available bandwidth. The speeds have been great.
  8. You are correct -- the internet is good on Seabourn.. 🙂
  9. Wow this thread has taken a life of its own.. I am too busy enjoying the caviar aboard Seabourn Encore. Lot's of loose facts floating around here.... 1) Cannot separate the Crystal mess from the Genting mess. To say that Crystal did not know the issues is denying truth. Everything was public from the financial statements, the issue with MV Werften and the cash shortfalls, unpaid bills, ships running 1/2 full (except for Christmas when the fares were so low) 2) Who cares about comparing space per passenger. The two old ships (and yes they are old despite all of the lipstick) -- have the worse space per cabin of any luxury ship. You cannot deny it even if you say "well I do not spend much time in my cabin" 3) NC Crystal has yet to sail. Can someone post pictures of the the beautiful new renovations. Of course not. 4) Most of the crew is returning. TO BE SEEN. 5) NC lost its leader. Even though I had mixed feelings about Mr. Anderson. He was the Crystal leader. 6) Heritage Group owns Crystal not A&K. Manfredi purchased A&K in 2019. So the A&K you loved pre COVID is not the same company. 7) Crystal has a serious issue with its Travel Partners. Read the publicity with the two large groups/consortiums BUT they are groups and many of their members are not convinced including some of the larger members. This is a major problem, NC will not survive without the support of TA's -- just ask Frank Del Rio, what happened to Renaissance Cruises. I loved OC and hope to love a NC but until they prove themselves in the market - no way as there are other lines that have and do provide a similar product including so far tried and liked Regent and Seabourn. Great food, great ports and great crews. My bags are unpacked in Cabin 744 onboard Seabourn Encore IMMENSELY enjoying our Turkish and Greek Riviera 3 week cruise. And yes I may be politically incorrect.....(those that know me) We were in Cyprus and the guide asked -- why do we drive on the right. Correct answer is because it was a British colony. My answer -- because the Turks drive on the left..
  10. Fooled me once shame on you. Fooled me twice shame on me. I think everyone should be concerned until the real proof of the lines service and viability is proven. This is Cruise CRITIC. Not the Crystal Fan club. The OP had a concern and wanted an opinion.
  11. LOL -- they did. But the rug guy and pottery guy caught her and us 🙂
  12. NCL uses the worse EMC Geo sats. Starlink will definitely be an improvement -- however and it is a big if they will need to manage the access as they currently do with one login per stateroom. Otherwise the benefits of increase capacity will disappear. Those that have been original users of Starlink (like myself) have seen the degradation of service cause by more users using the fixed bandwidth of the ground based nodes. RSSC Explorer just refitted with Starlink.
  13. Did they get rid of the Terrace???
  14. However w However with increased capacity with NCL's, Oceania, and RSSC new builds these levels are going down in Q2 to Q4. That is why there is a supersale to fill the ships for the remainder of the year. NCL stated in their presentation that they will fill the ships, hinting at reduced margins (total yearly EPS $0.75). The analysts were very friendly and did not press the points.
  15. And since none of this is free -- means you will pay for it all. Maybe get rid of "free" air too...
  16. OK I'll bite --- start a go fund me 🙂
  17. Hard to compare -- especially when you compare past history. Has to be recent cruises because of covid and supply chain issues. Cruise staffing issues and more inexperienced crew abound. Last Regent was on Splendor Nov/Dec 2022. In and F1 cabin. Last Oceania was Dec/Jan 2023 on Marina in an Oceania Suite (OC). We literally hopped of in Miami from Regent to Oceania. Regent hands down the winner by far. Difference in Suites did not matter. Food on Marina was just plain awful. Ran out of fresh berries and their famous Terrace lamb chops. The only great food was Jacques and guess what there is no Jacques on Vista and the rest of the new Allure class. Service was spotty on Oceania and the upper management staff were rude in failing to meet with us to discuss issues. Never seen that in a cruise line. Was a past fan of Oceania with nearly the magic 20 free cruise level. Now -- Have $800 in FCC with Oceania remaining. Told my TA will cruise O only if he can find me a cruise for $800.
  18. After Crystal??? Crystal has yet to sail.. Bags unpacked on Seabourn.. So far we like Regent and Seabourn. Regent better and Sillversea post-covid to be sampled in November.
  19. Third party sites (there are many) will charge you more.. Just make sure you are on the Ministry of Foreign affairs site.
  20. I am a 3mm on UA (nearly at magic 4mm), but I like LX and LH generally. Have been on these A330 planes on both LH/LX airlines generally on 5 to 6 hour flights (which are the planes being used in the US). Both Biz and Economy are uncomfortable. My DW hated our recent MCO to FRA flight. She like to sleep on a lie flat seat. Me -- I am more hard nosed having close to 4mm on UA and another 2MM on other airlines about 1/2 upfront and 1/2 in the back. Comfort is relative and I can sleep on most seats. The nice thing about flying into FRA or Eurowings, is you have FRAport persons doing any special assistance (wheel chair and electric buggy assistance)
  21. Just flew with them. Unfortunately LH is playing games with Eurowings in USA. MCO to FRA was originally LH465 on LH metal 747-400 then switch to A340. Finally switched to A330-200 and now Eurowings as an LH codeshare. Last month they were using wet-leased (crew and plane) Finnair planes. In late April went back to their own old LH planes -- Old LH A330 converted to Eurowings livery. Biz seats are LH style semi lie flats extremely uncomfortable. Service was OK up front. Similar rules as to LH. Meaning if you are not Biz -- no seat assignments until 24 prior to your flight. We had the same baggage allowance -- but Eurowings gave me issues about my weight of one carryon (8 kg limit) even though I am allowed 2 x 8kg pieces -- had to speak to a supervisor. Plane also had a premium economy cabin. If you are flying economy Eurowings is as good as any US Carrier, especially if you have to connect through to another destination. Flying Biz -- I would take another carrier, even UA is better.
  22. Excellent advice -- 2 pages of back in forth over what?? In Turkey now -- already through three Turkish ports and another 4 to go. Fly in Visa needed -- fly out same. At ports there is no passport control at any ports in Turkey or Greek Islands -- in fact the cruise line has the passports.
  23. I would include a stop in the Congo we made on Silversea. We had our excursion bus being pelted by stones by the locals...
  24. If cruises were honest --- thought this was funny
  25. You are forgetting Emirates via DXB with 2 flight per day in an A380.
