  1. Really --- you think two old ships are going to compete with new ships like the Explora class ships also sailing for TA's??? Just compare the photos and remarks... I would be interested in which banks and export credit agencies are going to loan money to A&K. I bet Hermes is not one of them. High interest rates are not the best time to be building and financing new ships.
  2. How about Marble & Co. These are posts from social media.
  3. Having done RCL (Oasis class and their smaller ones), HAL, Carnival, NCL (in aft facing Havens), SS, Crystal, Regent, Seabourn, and Oceania, we would never go back to NCL on our own. Getaway and Breakaway were entirely too crowded. Too many children even in the Haven. You have to leave the Haven. Too many drunks on a Caribbean cruise it was like Carnival but no fights. Last cruises post Covid, were Crystal (before bankruptcy), Seabourn, Oceania, Regent.. We love the smaller ships. Food is better, more inclusive, smaller crowds and more adult. Some of the larger ships cannot get into the smaller Canadian and US Northeast ports. Only thing the big ships have are big shows. But a port intensive cruise who cares.
  4. Bon Voyage and Safe Journeys -- show us a picture of your bags unpacked 🙂
  5. Have great trips. Renditions were very accurate. Was tempted to cancel our SS Canada Trip, but decided not to... We will experience Explora in January. Final payment for us is this week.
  6. Retreat Residence... Kind of odd sloping windows.
  7. Did some screen shots of the video. This is Grand PH.
  8. Med Yacht Club. Looks like a Tapas style food. No menu just lots of nice food.
  9. Another is the non-reservation French inspired Fil Rouge -- some French but some Italian and more international. Menu looks great. They should post these on the web site.
  10. Restaurant Sakura -- looks going to be my favorite.
  11. Pictures of the OT1 Veranda Cabin -- Function and stunning.
  12. Since no one has started or posted any pictures, these were gleaned from various social media sites and are not copyrighted and in the public domain Those that are on the next cruises please feel free to share menus sample food pictures. This post will feature General ship photos. The ship is just plain gorgeous.
  13. I can understand the OPs frustration. Been in many cabins where it could use a human factors person to help design -- same. No hot tub -- they were pulled out as were the TV on the last redo, why? they never worked. Lights yes -- have been in hotels with a central touch pad to control all of the lights and am expected to learn to use this after a 15 hour flight. Overkill on a ship. Ok for a home, but on a short cruise it takes the entire cruise to get used to where and how each control works. Space and why waste the money. On cruises where we spend lots of time in the suite, reading on deck, why not. It is a vacation. I hope the service and the butler is good. Best thing about the suite after a long excursion it is nice to eat in the room to be served from any restaurant by the Butler.
  14. And of course you can always do a dummy booking and price the various options on the web site. It is just time consuming. I do like the new format as it is easy to see the delta and not have to hunt for the air credit.
  15. They are really backlogged. I have only a response on 1 of 3 claims. They seem to be working through about 120 claims per day and are filling on average one motion per day to the court with the results. Judging by the publicized number of consumer claims, they still have a large number to complete.
  16. I hope you made the journey to the port in OK fashion.
  17. Nah more likely Northerners who expect the weather to be the same as home. They think layers are just another type of cake. Us Floridians are a little more sharp as it is so hot now (all of the time) that the Icelandic weather would be a welcome relief with cool temps allowing us to go in shorts and shirt sleeves. No need for any heavy clothes, even though we bought both summer and winter clothes. Polar plunge anyone.
  18. or the one with that just made gravy stain 🙂
  19. Time of year makes a difference. Dubai can be hot and Petra and Luxor can be brutal in the heat. Check the temps during the time you intend on going.
  20. It is almost worth signing up for Instagram. The BTS (Behind the Scenes) videos are worth it.
  21. Yes you are...That is why you received it. They are not sending these to everyone.
  22. I hope you see the amount. I did notice that a claimant is only allowed ONE priority claim. The rest of the amount becomes an unsecured claim. "CLAIM IS ONE OF FIVE CLAIMS FILED BY TWO CLAIMANTS. EACH CLAIMANT IS ENTITTLED TO ONE PRIORITY PAYMENT." Since that is the case then probably ever claimant will get the FULL $2,250 per person. It still says that they have alot of filings to go. Most of the previous claims were complete denials (claims that were paid by credit cards or insurance) and now they are going through partials - priority claims that hot the maximum limit under State Law.
