@durangoscots That is good news that Monty is in good health and only needs his teeth cleaned. Have you considered taking the train to NYC or Boston for a cruise? You could probably get on in Grand Junction.
On October 12, 1016, we visited Sarande on Prinsendam, and we returned on July 17, 2019 on Veendam. These pictures are a combination from those two visits. The beach promenade was bustling in July, but pretty much closed down in October.
In 2016, we took a taxi from the pier into town since we did not want to climb the steep hill. On one side of the main street there are some ancient ruins.
Further along we passed this building
The busy main street with a lot of new buildings
We then headed to the waterfront and the small boat harbor before taking the promenade back to the Prinsendam.
The Prinsendam waiting for our return
In 2019, we just walked down the beach to an open air restaurant where we got a cold drink before retracing out steps. Along the way, we stopped at a food cart for gelato. We've found good gelato in Albania for a very reasonable price.
There were remnants of old structures along the way.
There were more new buildings at the near the small boat harbor.
A beach playground
A nice sailing yacht with the Veendam in the background.
A view of town as we sailed. Many of the buildings under construction in 2008 had been completed.

Thank you for the lovely photos Lenda.

I found CC and "the daily" from another website... 🙂
Our first HAL cruise was on the Westerdam, a group cruise, from another cruise website called CA. We enjoyed the cruise and loved HAL, however many of the people we cruised with either never posted or left CA. I started reading posts here more often and then about 10 years ago, started replying to posts, and got involved in the "Meet and Mingle" thread for the cruise we were going on. From there, "the Daily" was something I enjoyed reading during the week and would post a photo from a cruise. I still enjoy reading it, especially the posts about a cruise coming up, or one that was just finished. 🙂
[ love this photo.

Gosh, Vanessa, that sounds just awful about your legs. I know that you know your way around health care, but do be careful. It sounds painful as well as dangerous.
Sending prayers your way. 🙏

Thanks for our Tuesday Daily, Rich.
I’m sure aware of insurance these days 😉 and will happily celebrate columnists.
Interesting quote. I’m not sure what’s on the menu for me tonight. Will probably depend on what they have at the airport IF this flight is not cancelled.
Yup yesterday’s flight was cancelled, no replacement so I am still in Ontario. My poor plants. I knew they should be ok until this morning but not sure about tomorrow 😡 Stressed to the nine’s last night as I tried reaching the airline. Trying to book a back up flight for early tomorrow morning in case this one is cancelled again. But, the website is down. Sheesh.
@mamaofamivery glad to hear Sam is getting out 👍 Good luck with your test 🍀
To try to put a bit of cheer in my post - here is some food porn from Sunday night. We had a charcuterie board and sushi which I forgot to take a pic of and then salad with pecans (very good)
Jane and I did the skewers and John cooked a fantastic tenderloin. Delicious bread and baked potato with all the toppings.
Then of course, we had a birthday cake for my sister.
She showed us a covid trick she had learned from a nurse friend. Clap your hands to put the candles out rather than blowing them out.
Prayers for everyone on the Care list & for those that need them and a 🥂 to those on the Celebratory / Shout Out list.
Hope everyone’s day is much better than mine 🤞
Love the photos.

Eurodam will be at the CT dock from 1pm to 10 pm.
Koningsdam will be at the AS dock from 1 pm to 10 pm.
Also in port are Norwegian Sun tendering (7am-3pm), Crown Princess at the Franklin Street dock (noon-10pm), and Celebrity Solstice at the AJ dock (1:30pm-10pm).
At last, a really nice Monday in Juneau. Sunny skies and a high of 75F/24C and a low of 53F/12C. (There is a weather alert for a heat wave!) Sunrise is at 3:54 am and sunset at 10:08 pm.
The PTZtv webcam can be found at https://www.juneauharborwebcam.com/.
Next up: Westerdam on Tuesday, 28 June.
Watching Eurodam docking now it is very slow to dock wonder
if its having Asipod problems

Good morning all!
Today is our last hot day for awhile, then it's back to cooler, wet days. It's been a good trial run for the new A/C and I love it. 🙂
I like onions in moderation for added flavor in dishes -- too much doesn't agree with me though. I wear sun glasses all year, even on some of our cloudy days. Since I wear contacts, the sun really bothers my eyes. In the past we played Bingo on BHBs every time it was offered. Then the casino took it over and got very chintzy. In the past it wasn't unusual for me to win hundreds of dollars but not anymore so we rarely play now. It's a shame, we really enjoyed it.
Will pass on the drink (not a fan of coconut) and red wine. The meal sounds good, but high in carbs.
Today I'll finally finish staining the deck -- just in time, as the weather is changing!
We've been to Korcula at least 3 times. Once we took winery tours, once we took the "Dalmatian Riviera Cruise" excursion, and once we enjoyed walking, browsing and shopping. It's a beautiful port as are most of the ports in Croatia.
Approaching Korcula
A church seen from our Riviera cruise through 20 islands in the Korcula Archipelago
I loved this private courtyard with apartments
Gorgeous peeks of the water through the alleys
We saw this same cat twice on two different visits. She belongs to a man who sells jewelry, she has her own chair near him.
Korcula market
Mosaics in the sidewalk
On one tour we also visited Vela Luka
Another time a winery
Where we saw old grape growing and harvesting tools
The last tender returning to the ship
Love the photos. Thank you.

Good morning from a partly cloudy and windy central Texas. It will be cooler today 94F, but not quite as cool as predicted -- 90F. This will be quick since I want to get the yard done while the temperatures are still in the 70s and 80sF.
We also use quite a few onions when cooking. Living in Texas and Arizona, sunglasses are a must. I haven't played Bingo in 20 years, but I've enjoyed it. On an early cruise on a very small ship, they let the DD's play bingo since there was no age requirement. May people who played the last day to try to win the jackpot were upset when younger DD won. The CD told them she had been playing all week while they hadn't. The next time we were on the ship, they were no longer old enough to play.
The quote is interesting, but I think people want to be loved and understood.
The meal sounds good, but we'll pass on the drink and wine. I'm just not into blue drinks.
We have been to Korcula once in 2016 on Prinsendam. It was a substitute port when our Black Sea cruise was canceled after the attempted coup in Turkiye.
@smitty34877 Terry, I'm glad your DH's gout is improving. I hope Tana had a better night last night.
@aliaschief I hope you find your neighbor's keys.
@Crazy For Cats Enjoy your day in Halifax.
Korcula as seen from the Prinsendam.
The old walled town. You can either enter the walled town by climbing steep steps or by walking around the outside of the wall until you come to an easier entrance.
One of the narrow and steep passages to reach the center of the walled town.
Cafes lined the walk around the outside of the wall.
DH inspecting part of the wall where a column was separating from the wall.
One of the many plazas in the town
One of the churches in the old town
A small chapel
Another narrow street down to the promenade

The Prinsendam waiting for our return
We enjoyed our day exploring this picturesque port.

Good Morning Everyone, thanks for the fleet report. I’ll celebrate bartender day today on a BHB. Today’s meal suggestion sounds good but I’m planning on clothesline bacon and steak in the Pinnacle Grill tonight. Mona, aka 3am alarm clock, had me awake way too early. Will do some last minute packing, electronics, and top off the food and water bowls. Our ride is set to arrive at 10 to pick us up.
I hope that everyone has a good Saturday.
Stay safe and have a wonderful cruise.
Jim.

Good afternoon.
It is currently 75°F and sunny but rain is due this afternoon.
I woke up this morning and for the first time in months my right knee was not painful after the steroid injection yesterday.
Walking up and down stairs is okay with a slight pain on movement.
Thank you for today's fleet reports and Daily Rich.
A very good quote today.
I will give today's food and drink a miss.
Prayers for Sandi's @StLouisCruisers husband that he tests negative tomorrow to get out of quarantine and for everyone on the care list.
Graham
I am so glad that the injection is working. for you.
