best bet.. other than staying inside the Falmouth gated port..skip it! On another cruise with X .I can't recall which port, X used a commercial.pier which was very seedy and dismal/ no facilities (Princess had much better) After waiting with abt 40 others or more, .. in this scary, seedy area for more than an hour, we learned the tour operator did not order large enough or enough, or maybe NO busses for our tour. Despite VERY STRONG resistance from the Excursions Rep, we all were finally "allowed" to cancel, and get a full refund! They did everything to preserve the booking without regard to cruiser safety or comfort. Wasted 2 hrs at least..waiting and arguing! Jamaica is beautiful.. I have been there many times, but it is no longer a place we would consider visiting....by cruise ship or air!

not our thing either..we loved Coco cay when it was mostly undeveloprd..did our first snorkeling there..was great for beginners. We are thinking Bermuda again or Charleston as possible ports !

happens quite a bit for us.. we eat very simply but tasty. lots of the menu choices are drowned in sauce or served on top of other foods.. We manage well but with work arounds!

Our first X ahip as well and our favorite..like cruising on a big yacht! We have enjoyed EDGE( 2x), BEYOND ( Only SS suite ever), ASCENT and have APEX booked. Usually in BLU but also SVs. I find the E ships themselves are great..lots of room, nice spaces and dining, great theater high tech photos. Best dining on Ascent ..BLU and specialties. Our issue on Ascent was that it was loud and shouty ALL DAY/NIGHT, or taken over by daytime sports, in places orginally intended to quieter venues! we are booked on Silho and APEX in 2025, but stumped for Carib 2026. Do not want any old, aging ship..and nothing that goes to Coco Cay.

You def keep busy on your cruises! We agree X makes the best soups..My husb has some of the recipes, pared down for regular dining size.. Always a hit! The Fairview House grounds looked lovely,( maybe we can tour them after our St Kitts excursion next yr?) Artist sketch class sounds interesting as well! We also enjoy St Kitts..but in Jan had a VERY long walk from where Ascent docked to the port area and the free trams were erratic! We went over to Nevis which was the highlight of our trip! Tour, beach bar lunch, shopping .and a nice water taxi ride there and back . Highly recommend ! Next year, we are booked on a closer to port water excursion to a beach lunch along St Kitts coast with island music ...Sounds like fun!

The so called re-branding seems more of an ad or pr campaign..not a change in corporate name. Well known that X has a terrible IT dept.. with probably a high budget..!
