ok. but but some on CC like me do not check Port Bds...that often. Many of us place exclusive reliance on the Excursions offered by X believing they are well vetted.. Usually get great food .. This one sounds like it fell short.

Could be a nice family cruise.. The Cartoon Le Petit Chef dinner will be fun. EDEN cafe..is like a mini buffet..cookies and desserts. EDEN has wood challenge puzzles. Bring ur own games and devices.. Solarium has family hrs. There are daytime activities in the Club. I suggest Western Carib...If you do KEY WEST..lots of thing there. If you do NASSAU theres a dig at Atlantis. COZUMEL has beach trips. It's the family time that counts..not running wild with other kids!

Can someone let us know the day and time of the Cap Club welcome party . We have ours set for 1st sea day 1/29 at EDEN, which may be a Conflict.

Sunset Veranda on Beyond will be awesome! we enjoyed it on EDGE along with the 4 mdrs are excellent.. We disliked Luminae ..it was very dark, close together tables, slow service (esp bread) and the menu and food were underwhelming! We finally headed out elsewhere..incl BLU! World Class Bar was a fav spot! Following this thread!

You can request late check out or wait at the hotel.they will store bags til you are ready to go.. The crowded port functions better if everyone respects the staggered times..Exception: those with early flt arrivals and no place to go

the ones I picked from Amazon are to allow conversation.. testing the idea as I usually do not like things inside my ears and dont want to wear large headphones.. not really on top of this issue!

File a Complaint with the Excursion mgr.. You should get some credit back, and they should re evalyate this tour!

We have first night res at Fine Cut on ASCENT...on balc looking over Martini Bar and area below where they have music... Hope our early res saves us from loud noise below! Will request a table away from back

when bass makes the room vibrate..you know it is cranked up and out of balance!

worst issue for us was when Reflection started cruising with the Miami DJs and a loud Party type CD.. Very loud and shouty! When we asked for early am loud pool music to be lowered..we were told quite nastily that "Miami ordered it"...so most everyone left the area! I will be trying out my new earplugs on ASCENT. They are supposed to allow conversation but mute loud music! Hope will help in the theater (replacing cotton balls!), and hope not needed for a creaky cabin!

sounds like enough going on.. Carib music at the pool is a plus . X used to have authentic Island bands , then just a keyboard. and lately none.. We also enjoy Jimmy Buffet music on Carib cruises.. esp at the pool. Very nice review!

thank you, very helpful list..we are.cruising on the 28th, so timely. We decided we will bring cash for any extra tips b/c we don't have alot of OBC, but not all services will need extea grats. Seems Specialty dining, the spa/ salon (and product purchases there), and the drink package are at higher percentages than the daily grat amts; so not planning on extra grats there. Otherwise, we give extra to indiv drink servers as we go, as well as Sommelier, if helpful. We will be in AQ Class & will likely give extra cash at end of the cruise for our room attendant, if they do a good job. There are no longer asst attendants and no daily canapes from what we recall, but we request ice refill 2x/ day. We will have breakfast in BLU most days, and dinner in BLU only 3 or 4 nights. We usually give Cash to BLU Maitre D at cruise end for the "team". Glad our booking has grats incl..but seeing this chart has helped for anticipating some extras .

Our first ASCENT night 28th..my b day, we are booked in FINE CUT. we eat early so hope to avoid any noise coming up from the music or bar below. We will also be trying EDEN for the first time.. interesting menu! ROOFTOP can be windy..We booked for a port nite...hope to catch sunset. if you go to Blu early you should be fine We preferred it to Luminae on BEYOND, so we are booked in AQ Class !

our CONNECTIONS roll call for ASCENT Jan 28th is very active... Nice roll call.list, Countdown posts,, Sailaway get together, Sea Day party, signs , name tags etc. .Folks connecting for Excursions and meeting others... Def not a dud.. Wish Cruise Critic would participate more on board

appreciate the sound and seating tips, we always sit towards the back on end of a row..just in case we decide to leave early. I am bringing ear plugs b/c some of the sound is just too loud!l and as mentioned not well balanced..despite E Class being " state of the art"..sometimes they jack up the bass!

When grat was much lower, we used to leave extra cash, but then maitre d said add to bill so restaurant gets credit for good service.. Now this required grat is up to 20% . We will not leave extra unless something very special is done! Tipping in general is getting out of control
