  1. I have not seen anything like this offered before. Most ports have maps etc for free.. Prices for pocket guides seem to be less $ online (Amazon & Barnes Noble)..or in a bookstore. but there's no way to compare content or value. Depends if the coupon savings are worth it.. maybe someone who.owns it can provide more info?
  2. We had awful bread service as well. No bread basket on tables. One bread lady for all.. She doled out rolls one at a time and would disappear. One evening there was NO bread. We were told it was arriving late..never did! We ate there a few nights but went off to Raw on 5 and BLU which had full bread baskets, great food and service overall. guess L...has not improved!
  3. that would be a good plan & maybe post an invite for others to join. Doing it in your cabin might be a problem with noise for adjacent rooms..even if a quiet machine and elec issues
  4. thanks for photos..even more dorm like than X. No bathroom door is awful..but the shower doors are nice!
  5. are these all equal in cost? E plus already gets internet & Cap Club offers daily cocktail hrs. Suite guests have Luminae access already. Adding more free drinks, and dinner at Luminae would not be a not a plus for us . More OBC, cruise discount, a free excursion or a dinner at Murano might be nice.. Most likely won't happen in our cruising days.
  6. So sorry, I read too fast..thought the move up went thru.. Well I am sure it will be a great cruise anyhow. ! Thanks for great pics of the EPCOT Garden Festival.. awesome!
  7. thanks for the info Other than our one dinner res, and maybe a movie at nite, we'll be crossing that space off. No longer sounds like the nice garden spot that was created for reading and relaxation... probably too sunny anyhow! One joy of cruising is a break from the plink plink plink! Many PB places in Fla are moving indoors!
  8. Been there, done that, with X. Someone off the ship equates loud with better, thinking it will create a party atmosphere & lure a younger demographic .. but that's not true. It can damage hearing & pushes people away.... we will be among them..other than the deck party .meant to be loud!
  9. Congrats on the Move Up to CS! Enjoy! Hope your Sailaway Day runs smoothly. we are less into wine and food but have a def interest in the Epcot Garden/ Flower Festival..heard it is spectacular
  10. yes..very sad. OP was a frequent poster. with good info and insight!
  11. How many hrs a day is the Pickle ball in use? Hope not during dinner up there.. Will others get to have a quiet space and time up there? Will there be any daytime music or other events up there? Unfortunately, The plinking sound is very annoying . Seems they needed to make a sports court area elsewhere as PB is very popular but was not in the original Lawn area design.
  12. I often eat just veggies...the pics are exquisite. I may ask to see the special.menu..I think BLU might oblige!
  13. old thread but great memories! I often remember that plate turning thing! Staff was impeccably trained.,, to the highest standards. Food service, quality and presentation under M Roux...will never be equalled! He helped make CELEBRITY CRUISES great...back then. All downhill after him. I still ask for the Celebrity Dressing. Rest in peace! PS Hi to Lois R and many long ago X fans!
  14. thank you for mentioning the Oceania ship VISTA..we def see a few Carib itins we like! That and Cunard seem appealing !
  15. Anyone have pics of the basic balc staterooms/ bthrm? How large are the ships compared to Celeb M, S, and E Class Ships?
  16. thanks for all the info. Looks like some nice things to do Do you know what WONDER AT EDEN IS? A new show or event?
  17. Just signing on.. Great photos! it will be interesting to hear how you compare Celebrity to your many Carnival cruises. and other lines you've been on... Eclipse is one of just a few X ships we have not sailed on, so onboard photos & menus will be appreciated in addition to nature!..Thanks
  18. Afaik.. 11:30 is the earliest slot for Celebrity . We are in AQ class and that's our slot for ASCENT 1/28. We will allow time to drop off our luggage, circle around to park the car, & walk back to the gen entrance. Rainy weather is a factor as there is really no overhang from what I remember.
  19. Fabulous.. pics. If you have more from the Festival, I would love to see a few. Thanks for reminding us about the EPCOT festivals! We are usually in Fl for the winter and will def try to do this before our APEX cruise next January if the dates work Great for pre cruise, esp for folks leaving from TPA or Space Coast or staying in Orlando, pre or post. cruise P. S.We are expecting overnight (Sat into Sun) windchills in Venice Fl. We will cover the shrubs with frost blankets.
  20. what activities were of interest to you on and off the ship ?
  21. Thank you. All this info and photos are helpful. We sail Jan 28th.. and look forward to the Sunset Bar & dinner at Rooftop Grill. Hope you'll post some food and dining reviews! our roll call is planning a get together for the 1st sea day..Can you post the day and time of the Cap Club welcone party.? Thanks.
  22. Agree Do not see the same demographic overlap. At least not with long time Celebrity cruisers. Quite possibly an appeal to newer X cruisers coming from Royal C. .
  23. i,m sure it will work out...we love the E Class shows..we sit away from speakers whereever we go..
