  1. They are fairly local to me and in touch with several people around here. I am sure they'll be in touch with Crystal. They are not Dance Hosts though.https://palmspringsballroom.com/
  2. I want to know who the Cruise Directors will be. Those are the Good Time Guys
  3. Casinos Austria ran the casino on Radisson before NCL took over and it was branded to Regent. They may have run the casino on Oceania at some point also. I have a deck of cards from winning something with that name on it.
  4. Roy, I hope you are better soon. Rest up! That's the best healing. I watched the Ed Sullivan show in 1964. Many of my friends went to the Hollywood Bowl to see the Beatles with their older siblings. For my 50th Birthday I gave myself tickets to see Paul McCartney and Wings at the then Staples Center in LA. It was packed but unforgettable. I am an avid fan.
  5. Well, many people come here for the year round sunshine and Nobu is a good excuse as any. #snowbirdswelcome #ifyoucantcruise

    Nobu

Well, If Crystal v2 doesn't have Nobu, come to the Greater Palm Springs Area - The Indian Wells Tennis Garden is going to have Nobu year around. Last year, someone asked about Nobu Restaurant at Indian Wells. Here is part of a press release from the Indian Wells Tennis Garden — “February 6, 2023, Indian Wells, CA – Nobu Indian Wells will permanently open on a year-round basis to the general public beginning on Monday February 13, it was announced today. The world-famous Japanese restaurant located in Stadium 2 of the Indian Wells Tennis Garden will open its doors to diners year-round, serving up its world-famous dishes outside the annual tournament dates for the first time.”
  7. There are many itineraries that we've never used our Veranda so to us....not a dealbreaker
  8. We did a British Isles Cruise in 2019. The Beatles Group on that cruise was also early so they could disembark before we sailed for the next port. Our tour guide on the Beatles tour had a Masters Degree in Music and a minor in Beatles Music. Our tour could not have been better. That day will always be a highlight of my travels. (We were not on Regent but the tour company was the same)
  9. I think there was a lawsuit involved due to State of Florida rules/regs that Covid restrictions by Florida companies are not allowed. Regent had the same policy put into effect in October.
  10. We've been to Grand Cayman a number of times. We love walking 7 mile beach from one end to the other. It's 4 miles long and the water is very picturesque, clear, warm and salty. You can have lunch at one of the hotels. It's a pleasant way to spend a day.
  11. We had Caviar at Sunday Breakfast in Compass Rose. No Brunch.
  12. Glad to be home. Ship had some hits and misses. Will be back after the puppies have had sufficient belly rubs and laundry is put away
  13. Hello from somewhere in the Pacific off the coast of Baja California on the way to Cabo San Lucas. Ah yes. Wine. Well the first night in Compass Rose, they tried to pour some swill in my glass. That was in Prime 7 and I was having seafood. I had a delightful Wine Steward (Murphy from Dublin, Not). I won’t drink any Hess wine (bleach). I asked what was a nice dry white and got the Santa Margarita Pinot Grigio. Not a bad “every day” wine. I might splurge for some Cakebread or Rombauer Chardonnay another night on the Connoisseur list later. I remember the earlier cruises where there was a list of included wines and some where excellent. There are some very drinkable wines on the list. We really liked the Chilean Malbec. We had a drinkable Sauv Blanc at the Block Party tonight. i did not read the label. It’s a matter of tasting what they are pouring and if you don’t like it they can find something for you. Food is excellent. A few misses, but, mostly very good. Service is slow some of the time. i think though they’re not saying, there is a number of crew in quarantine with out them acknowledging. Like i wanted to book a facial and was told there was none available this cruise. I had the best massage ever and the wine made me forget her name. BEST EVERl In my mid cruise review, I’d like to know why the daily calendar of events is nowhere to be found if you are out and about. They should be posted about the ship. In a few places. After dinner we could not find any live entertainment at 8:30 any where. *****? We ended up back at our cabin. That’s not okay. There should always be a venue for listening to music. We think 9:30 is too late for a show. There should be something to do at all times from 5pm to 10-11pm. The laundry service is an awesome benefit. The new Cruise Director, Jude is awesome. She’s cheerful and everywhere and approachable. The ship needs some more polishing. It’s been updated a few years back and lot’s has changed for the better. It’s always been my favorite ship. The carpet and sofa are stained. We did ask for the upholstery to be cleaned with the stains on it. They washed the cushion covers, but, they need to be replaced. The carpet in the room needs refreshing. Our suite is well appointed. Our butler and stewards are great. I’ll post more another day. All that wine has made me sleepy!
  14. If it is the TA that many of us have sailed with, there are few gatherings that take over. Many of the passengers go their own way and don't partake of the group and there are those who have sailed many times together and look forward to socializing but not as a part of the group. I wouldn't cancel because of this group.
  15. I have been on a number of cruises where there are groups - sometimes in the group and other times the outsider. I rarely have had them impact my personal experience.
  16. yes. Plain background - solo person. No sunglasses. I had some nice cell photos and removed the background for a plain background.
  17. I did not take photos while in the process - I already had some cellphone photos that worked.
  18. Grocery Outlet is the store that had it. Not sure if they still do. I might go because I am doing a wine sponsorship for a charity event and that might be good
  19. I don't bother with the surveys. I have never received a response back for my efforts.
  20. I left Regent and Oceania to sail Crystal. I am headed back to Regent - there is no Crystal. Seabourn and Silversea don't have the same itinerary. The itinerary fits my need to cruise. I don't expect it to be Crystal. I am sure I will be able to give a balanced review. As they say, Time will tell
  21. The home tests must be observed by online test providers.
  22. I guess that the memories of the cruise ships that could not dock anywhere have faded. I lost a dear family member to Covid a few months ago. We are sailing in a few weeks and we probably will limitedly get off the ship since most had to be vaxxed to sail. I guess time will tell where it will really matter.
  23. The Mariner is one of our favorite ships. We had the good fortune to be in one of the Corner Aft suites on a Barcelona to Venice itineary. Perfect weater for a sial down the Grand Canal we will never forget. We were on the inaugural sailing. We board in a few weeks and look forward to your report.
  24. I am very conscious of using renewable sources. But I am not happy to drink water that's just filtered from the ship. Fortunately, we are local from our next cruise port so I will bring my own water. How is that Six Star Luxury?
