  1. Last week on Regal they were 7:30 and 9:30, except for one night at 7 and 9.
  2. Just off the Regal, there were none that I could tell except for the formal nights.
  3. That sounds terrible. We were on the same cruise and had a long wait also, it was very cold and uncomfortable. I have a broken foot and was using a knee scooter. I was very impressed during the cruise at how well I was treated with help on the gangways and in the buffet. But I actually joked with my DH as we were disembarking that I guess the good treatment ends at the exit of the ship - no help getting off for sure. Yes, I understand that they are making a quick turnover but we are still customers and hopefully future customers and should be treated as such.
  4. Thanks! About what I am expecting but you never know!
  5. We are on board next week. Thank you for the wonderful info. I know sail away will likely be cool (and that the weather varies week by week) but how was the temperature the first sea day? Still chilly? Or more like average Caribbean temps?
  6. Shoot, I was hoping to use our OBC for FCD's. Good to know.
  7. I think this happened to me once and I tried using a different browser and that worked.
  8. I love the promenade deck on ships, one of my favorite spots to enjoy on a sea day. It makes me sad that many of the new ships are getting rid of them, or decreasing the size.
  9. All these drip drip drips of changes are quite annoying. We cruised with new cruisers last February and now are going again with them for their second cruise. I hate having to say this has changed and that has changed, while trying to help them understand why Princess is our favorite line.
  10. I had the same issue yesterday. Finally about two hours later I actually got a person - but she gave me bad advice. I was asking about an accessible room (broke my foot a few days ago) and she gave me an option but after doing my own research it wasn't accessible at all. All that time for nothing. 🙄
  11. Good to know. We board Regal in February and I was wondering how boarding was going lately. Enjoy your cruise!
  12. Thank you for the honest and detailed review. I am sorry that you were disappointed. I would have been unhappy with the points you raised also. Princess is our favorite (between RCL, NCL and Princess) but service like you had would make us rethink.
  13. So is there still Club 6 but smaller? We enjoyed it for late night dancing last time we were on Regal.
  14. I agree. I think a lot of people didn't even know it was there.
  15. Oh no! We will be on Regal in February and that was our favorite late night spot last time we were on her!
  16. I really miss Traditional Dining. They are making this way harder than it needs to be.
  17. Thanks for the review. We will be on the Regal in February and are looking forward to it. One of the first things I will do when I retire is a transatlantic! I love sea days 🤩
  18. I remember the days when we had no outside contact while on a cruise. Now THAT was relaxing!
  19. I just had this problem. Typing the password didn't make a difference. I hit "login" about 8 times and it eventually worked.
  20. Lack of a sofa doesn't bother us much - certainly not for the price difference. We don't eat a lot in the room, maybe the occasional coffee or wine but that is about it. And we don't mind watching TV from the bed.
  21. Haha, love that! Sounds like a fabulous time so far! Thanks for sharing!
  22. I avoid ships without a promenade deck. It is one of our favorite spots on board. Very disappointing that newer ships are being built without it.
  23. I like the medallion and don't mind the app as I've never had issues with it. I'm with the OP on the dining though, nothing to do with the app, I just prefer traditional seatings. Our first cruise was also in 1990 (I believe we actually had a key for our room! 😄). Many things were better then but a lot are better now. I did enjoy getting our tickets in the mail or from the travel agent - so exciting. And we would go through the excursion leaflet and pick out which ones we wanted to book when onboard. Our first cruise included airfare and they flew us there the day before and paid for the hotel. Those were some definite "better then"s however, check-in took hours. So there is that.
  24. It is different for everyone, but from my point of view, we only use complimentary dining. We enjoyed Alfredo's for lunch - complimentary - and now will have to either have plus or pay. Along with the additional charge to activate ordering food with the medallion and the new room service charges, it is more charges for things that were included. Yes they are relatively small charges, hence "nickel and diming".
  25. We were on her in February and it was fine. It was a full ship and at times felt crowded but I don't really remember being in lines, so not sure where they experienced that. Temps were fine, plumbing working, no obvious wear that I saw. Go and enjoy!
