Noro On Board, And Yet People Still....
RNRcruisers replied to SargassoPirate's topic in Princess Cruises
We board the Caribbean Princess on February 10th. Hope it gets cleaned really well before then! -
Another formal night dress question (sorry)
RNRcruisers replied to Wedgeh's topic in Princess Cruises
In my experience, people put a little more effort into their dress for the formal nights. I don't usually see tuxes and long gowns though. My DH wears a suit for formal nights and looks very handsome if I do say so ☺️ Shirt and nice pants for the other nights. -
Returned home from Princess Cruise and …..

There are many times I have booked a cruise during a snow storm 😄 Gotta have something to distract me! -
MDR reservations messed up by Princess
RNRcruisers replied to MsSoCalCruiser's topic in Princess Cruises
Anecdotes from here sound like early dining walk-ins aren't a problem. Couldn't you do that the first night and, if you like your table and server, ask to be seated there every night? I know a reservation would be preferable but doing this might work just as well. -
NY Cruise on Discovery - a Memorable 10 days!
RNRcruisers replied to Auntiejo's topic in Princess Cruises
I totally agree about MUTS during the day. It would be much nicer to hear soft music playing or something like that. You can't see the screen anyway. We look for loungers away from that area. -
We have only done the Sanctuary once and it wasn't hard to get a seat so I was hoping for a few afternoons on our upcoming cruise. Sounds like I better lower my expectations. 😬

Bimmer09 Christmas Cruise to Mexico on the Diamond
RNRcruisers replied to Bimmer09's topic in Princess Cruises
DH and I leave on a 10 day cruise next month so decided to get boosted that past weekend. I'm thinking that was a good decision. We both came down sick in September after a trip to London, tested negative for Covid but the symptoms sure seemed like Covid. We were only actually sick a few days but had coughs that lasted a while. I think we got it at the airports - they were really crowded and no masks in sight. If it was Covid, then it was the first time for us. We also cruised last January and I appreciated the precautions that were in place. Too bad there aren't any now. -
So reassuring to see a good review of the Caribbean! We are on her in February with 3 couples, 2 who are new to Princess, and I was worrying about all the negative posts. We are pretty sure it will be fine but it is nice to see your post. We are hoping to have the same table every night too. How did you go about getting that? Did you have to stop at the reservation line before going in or just enter the DR?

Help with hotel in Fort Lauderdale during spring break
RNRcruisers replied to sdnich's topic in Florida Departures
I've never heard of this site but their prices do look good. Have you used them and had a good experience? -
Cute! Much needed smile on this gloomy winter morning.

Received passports today! Took 4 weeks with expedited.
-
We mailed ours Priority Mail on December 10 for expedited service, they received Tuesday 12/13 and it was in process a few days after that. I just checked and the status says shipped on 12/6. So if we receive it by tomorrow that will be 4 weeks. The site says 3-5 weeks so right in the middle. We also signed up for email notifications but never received any. We cruise February 10th so I will be very relieved to have it in hand! 😅

I'm surprised to hear that. We cruised on the Regal last January and found the food quite good.
-
Not sure how you got that I am monitoring anything from my comment. My observation was that plenty of people dress up.
-
Agree. I sometimes think the non-formal-dressers want everyone to think that is the norm so it BECOMES the norm 😝. I see plenty of people dressed up on formal nights, maybe not too many in tuxes and formal gowns but lots of sparkly dresses and men in suits.

Update on Covid status of Majestic Princess
RNRcruisers replied to marie94949's topic in Princess Cruises
I don't THINK I have had it. Had some of the symptoms in September, after returning home from a trip to London, but tested negative. I still think it's possible that it was a false negative. Of me, DH and our three kids none of us have had it. Maybe some sort of record! 😁 -
Which "NEW" Cruise Fare Package Do You Prefer?
RNRcruisers replied to Jeter02's topic in Princess Cruises
This is the first I've heard of the Plus package going up again. I like the beverage package and prepaid gratuities. I really liked them at $40 a day, can handle $50 a day but $60 makes me think hard about it. I'm not sure I drink the extra $10 a day which is all that is valuable to me. Not happy. -
Does Caribbean Princess have the usb ports by the bed? That is about all we would need.

At sea with Covid: a positive report about a positive test result
RNRcruisers replied to bnickle's topic in Princess Cruises
I didn't like the arrangement of those tables even before Covid - now they just make no sense. -
At sea with Covid: a positive report about a positive test result
RNRcruisers replied to bnickle's topic in Princess Cruises
I am relieved to see Covid is being handled well for you. Maybe Princess will learn to do this for all their ships... We are supposed to sail in February and I am nervous about it. We went last January without problems but the ship was half empty and precautions were being taken, as opposed to now. Love your attitude and I am enjoying your posts 😁
