  1. Yes, call them and try to get it fixed. If you did nothing it's possible it just gets fixed automatically, but if it doesn't, you could be waiting in a long line for guest services who may not know how to fix it
  2. Correct. When a photographer takes your picture they'll ask for your room number. After you request a photographer set up your onboard account for digital, they'll email you a link after the cruise, it's been within a week. Also, remember at some ports, X sends a photographer outside the ship so that could have a scenic landscape in the background
  3. Totally agree. Often you can go to the forums on Trip Advisor (CC's parent company) and find a local private driver for an affordable rate. We've had great luck with the drivers and the costs yet despite some claiming "excellent English" that wasn't always the case; good thing for google translator
  4. Looks fun! Absolutely. X can cancel tours at anytime
  5. I will add any tour that includes vehicles should be discussed before the deadline to cancel. Two couples plus the guide/driver in a 20+-year-old Rav4 isn't exactly what I'd call a "small tour 4x4 adventure" that we experienced
  6. Remember that you can book now and get a refund within 48 hours of the tour. On board, the tour team is usually fairly knowledgeable and should be utilized and can tell you how many are signed up
  7. Just got off the Eclipse and noticed this as well. Even on Chic nights, the backdrops were up but usually no photographer to be found. I've never had a problem with finding qualified people on embarkation day
  8. On the day of embarkation, there's usually no wait at the photo studio
  9. They've honored pricing errors in the past, book it now and see what happens. Worst case, it gets canceled and refunded
  10. To piggyback off this, it states: "*Until further notice, due to limited capacity only guests Sapphire and above sailing in a Suite category will have access to the VIP Lounge" so they at least give you the illusion this benefit may come back
  11. As someone who has made an 8:43 am flight from Port Everglades (I had a backup plan), even if you had a 12pm flight, things happen and you could miss it. When someone asks if they can make a 9am flight, the answer should be, "if you miss it, what's your backup plan?"
  12. The better question is, will it be tenderloin or another cut
  13. Suites are the absolute profit drivers, this is why every new ship has more suites than the last. Suites usually cost hundreds if not thousands more than a non-suite. All the extra fees/ancillary charges like the drink package are a drop in the bucket compared to suites I'll give a specific example and I'm even going to cherry-pick this example in your favor. I went to a TA site, put the date range from now to Feb, filtered all X sailings, pricing is per person, per night, and before fees and taxes: Cheapest Inside: There are a dozen sailings under $50/night, the cheapest is a 16-night South America repo for $41/night Cheapest Suite: There are about ten sailings under $400/night, the cheapest is a 6-night Bahama and Cozumel sailing for $312/night in an SS Of course, the suite's hard and soft products cost X more than an inside but roughly $271/night more? No chance. This isn't even factoring in the highest-end suites which offer nearly the same experience and cost to X as an SS minus the butler At the end of the day, X would be happier if someone booked a suite than they would if someone booked an inside with a drink, photo, and special dining package
  14. In the computer’s search box just enter hotspot; it's in settings
  15. Also higher odds they get more tips. On my 2017 crystal cruise, every day I saw multiple people tip in cash with a $5 or higher for every drink. This is despite all gratuities being included The crew get virtually no benefits working in the cruise indrusty, can't blame some who have the ambition to get employed in a western country
  16. Most cheerleaders define a hater as anyone who isn't providing 100% praise 🙃 As I've stated many times, without us non-cheerleaders getting them to make changes, you'd have vaping in the casino, only a 4 item dinner buffet, no MDR prime rib or ribeye, no free cookies at Cafe Al Bacio, no MDR classics, etc
  17. Not sure why there are different answers? 90mins Embarkation day 45mins for the last tender for tender ports 30mins for non-tender ports
  18. Have a nice lunch on land by the ship. You'll have many days of on ship lunches
  19. It sounds like they made comped rooms eligible without the need to contact them so this is new information I've personally never had luck with calling in requesting to make it eligible but have had 100% success rate by emailing MoveUp although every now and then it can take a month for them to get back to you. Just a recent datapoint, we won a bid of $165x2 (was a $150 minimum) To go from an inside to a balcony for 7 nights. On a summer 9-nighter where we had a comped inside and MoveUp had a $50 OV minimum and a $500 balcony minimum, we won a $65x2 bid for the OV. On embarkation day, we arrived at 10am, and were let on the ship at 1030am, we immediately headed to guest services to ask if they had any paid upgrades and they said they could just bump us up to a balcony at no charge or we pay $800 to upgrade to a concierge. We've 4-4 with on-board upgrades yet it's quite the roll of the dice because they simply might not have any left, the upgrade price could be too expensive to make sense for you or you're late getting on the ship; they may only have a handful of open rooms and like it or not, with these empty rooms it's first come first serve, suggested embarkation windows be damned
  20. It's a safe bet they were talking about the actual booking but yes, you are 100% right that the cruise planner flash sales can save you a boatload (couldn't resist!)
  21. Additionally, if you have a Windows or Mac laptop, you can log the laptop into the wifi, turn your laptop's signal sharing on, and now use additional devices. However, the device must be within range of the laptop and also it divides the wifi speed between devices
  22. Snippets from this article: https://www.usatoday.com/story/travel/cruises/2018/11/27/celebrity-edge-new-cruise-ships-cabins-have-walls-glass/2123667002/ "Load-bearing steel structure that traditionally runs down the sides of ships between cabin interiors and balconies has been moved inward." "Lutoff-Perlo said outfitting Celebrity Edge with the Infinite Veranda cabins required adding about 2 percent more volume to the vessel than otherwise would be needed."
  23. From their Q2 earnings call: "But really, the main driver of that has been our ability to be much more effective to curate and take friction out of the process for our customers to book their activities on the ship. And of course, there's a great commercial reasons of doing that. There's also an incredible guest experience benefit of doing that as our ultimate goal here is to try to give a day back to our guests to come on our ships and instead of them having to spend a day booking their restaurants and booking their spa appointments and shore excursions. They're able to do that ahead of time. And we are really in the early innings of that, especially curating -- there's still a lot of friction points for us to resolve, but our teams have really just done an exceptional job of moving that forward, which can also see supporting an even more elevated customer deposit balance as we're able to take on those onboard spend bookings."
