Can you see out to the water when you are sitting down on the cove balcony?

I had been looking at a cruise for April 2024 and waited to see if prices would come down. Then the cruise was completely sold out. Now there are some cabins available but the prices are $300 pp more than when I originally looked. You can't win.

I saw the video of this tour on you tube by a very popular blogger, Para DJ, who went. He said he really enjoyed it but at MSC's price of $129pp I think I'll look for something else.

Was looking at renting a regular cabana. Says up to six people but picture shows only two lounge chairs. Is there only two or six?

Thanks so much for answering. I don't mind paying for a shuttle into town. The 500 bus seems to be quite a walk from the pier and I read that the hoho buses have many broken translators and you can wait a very long time for them to get you back. What I'm planning to do is once I get into town to take a tuk tuk tour of the city, take a river cruise and possibly some wine tasting. Have a great trip and I will look for your report when you return. I have tours already booked for my other stops except for La Caruna and La Rochelle so if you go there let me know what you did.

I'm so happy I found this and read your blog on Porto. I know it is about 8 years old but I was wondering if they still had the shuttle bus from the port to downtown. We are on the Carnival Pride in May with a stop in Porto and thought we had to either do the hop on or hop off bus or the 500 bus to get to town.

Unfortunately there was no way to log out for me or my husband. Every time I pressed anything on the app it would just take me back to the screen with all my apps.

So I uninstalled my app and then reinstalled it and was able to put in my next cruise. I have 4 more cruises booked after this. Do I have to wait to finish this cruise before I enter another one?

The problem we had in February was that we researched the climate of the island Bermuda and not the condition of the seas . People said it was lovely to walk around though not beach weather. It was good enough for us, or so I thought. We wound up with a cruise to nowhere for 5 days.

When I punch on the app all it says is "make your memories last". And then no Carnival wifi connection. There is no way to sign out. Should I uninstall and then reinstall?

How do you put your reservation into the app beforehand so we can start getting a countdown? We are cruising in May. We only cruised Carnival once last April and used the app but don't remember how it started.

We took an Uber for a repositioning Princess cruise in November. It is about an hour from my house in NJ to the Brooklyn cruise terminal. The fare was reasonable, around $75. But the driver told us that if he knew in advance we were going to Brooklyn he would have turned us down because he is not allowed to pick up anyone in NY for a return trip to NJ. Because it was a Saturday morning without too much traffic and a nice day he didn't complain too much. My cruise on the Meraviglia in October leaves on a Wednesday and returns on a Sunday which I just found out is the NY Marathon. Probably will have to take a bus to Manhattan and then the ferry and visa versa.

Hi Jamie. We also were with you on the Sept. 2021 Breakaway to Bermuda. Since then we have taken two cruises on Royal Caribbean, one on Carnival, one on Princess and two on NCL. I think we will also take a break from NCL. our last cruise with them in February to Bermuda turned out to be a cruise to nowhere with 4500 passengers mostly indoors. It was very disappointing. We are booked on Meraviglia for October, 2023 and look forward to reading about your adventures.

Are there shuttles from ports to main town for the following: Porto, La Caruna, La Rochelle and Le Havre?

Would this be the same in Gibraltar? Can you use tap and go on the local buses and/or taxicabs?

We have a b2b coming up in May/June. The first was booked under my husband's name and the second was booked under mine. I told my TA to connect the two and she assures me it will be. We have the same cabin on both. Do you think we will have any problems on turn around day?

I agree. I'm on the May 28th cruise too and have thousands of dollars invested in airfare, hotels and excursions. After months of anxiety because this cruise was no longer bookable and not listed on any port schedules, it finally came back. Now do I have to worry that the drydock may not be done in time and will affect this cruise? I hope not.

I'm on the Venezia next February and it's already sold out. Maybe they will have some openings at boarding .

A hypothetical question. Why do people book the same ship multiple times? Is it that you really like it or very convenient? We were on the Breakaway twice only because the second time was the first NCL ship after the pandemic. We also tried the Joy and the Getaway and to me they seemed like the same exact ship except for some shows and dining. We like to try new experiences while sailing. That being said I hope you have a wonderful trip and looking forward to your review.

If the price of your cabin comes down after final payment, does Carnival give you any OBC or FCC?
