  1. I am considering my first Celebrity cruise. Decided on an oceanview cabin to start. Saw that there were larger portholes (5-6' round) at the rear starboard side on deck 3 rather than the standard 4' portholes elsewhere. Are these good cabins to have? They are under the Rendezvous Lounge and promenade. And next to the meeting place. Will they be noisy at night?
  2. Looking at the dailies no live shows the night before and now three shows on one day? They need to get their act together (pun intended) and offer shows more evenly.
  3. How disappointing. I am on the 5 day Getaway cruise to Bermuda on Feb. 1st. I planned on taking the ferry to the bus to Crystal Caves and back the first day but if they cancel the second day this probably won't be possible if they leave at 3:45pm. I picked this cruise because we were just down to the other islands in November and wanted a short respite from the winter.
  4. Yes, you need reservations for Burn the Floor, Million Dollar Quartet and some comedy shows in Headliners. I think you sign up in Headliners when you embark. On the Joy in September we did not need reservations for Broadway Unplugged but it may be different on the Getaway. By the way, we were just on the Enchanted Princess in November for a 14 day cruise. We really liked having live shows in the theater every night but some of them were pretty lame. The production shows were good but most of the one-time guest entertainers were terrible. I'm on a short, 5 day Getaway cruise Feb. 1st and was trying to figure out how to manage seeing all the entertainment. Looks like there may not be enough even for us.
  5. I have a refundable rate. Is this also considered best price guaranteed?
  6. We only get a "Paid in full" invoice from our TA, not NCL. The only way we know NCL was paid is through our credit card statement.
  7. That's great to hear. Please come back and let us know if you got in, who was playing, etc. We are on February 1st.
  8. Thank you so much for this info. It was exactly what I was looking for.
  9. I read on one website that there is a shuttle from the port to the Priory and Dover Castle. Is this true? Also, we are on a back to back on Carnival with Dover as the turn around day so will there be enough time to go to Canterbury and back?
  10. Now you got me confused. In the past if the offer was downloaded on my everyday card it disappeared from my and my husband's blue card, platinum card and Amazon card. Now I was able to download it on both mine and my husband's everyday card. So can I use both on one booking?
  11. Thanks for your replies. I never booked non refundable so thought I would lose the whole $500 deposit. And never cancelled a cruise willingly. We do not drink so no perks would be best for us. Now to make the decision.
  12. Have a great time. We are going in three weeks on a short trip to Bermuda on the Getaway. It now says sold out. Who would have thought a cruise to Bermuda in February would be sold out.
  13. I've always wanted to try Celebrity and now with the Amex offer the cost matches the other lines I've been on There is a cruise I would like to book in May 2024 that would be an extension of another cruise I have booked on another line. The difference in non and refundable is $180 for two without perks. Being it's so far away and things might change if I book non refundable could the deposit be transferred to another cruise? I'll probably be putting down $1500 for two Amex offers. And if I book refundable can I also move the deposit to another date? I hope this is clear enough.
  14. Can you let us know if they took off the credits on both cards. I have the $350 discount and my husband has the $175 discount. We too are on the same master account with different cc #s.
  15. Never cruised Celebrity before. Got the Amex offer so was researching a cruise on the Summit. Looking at pics and videos on Cruise Deck plans I couldn't tell whether the showers have doors or curtains.
  16. When they repriced my cruise with healthcare workers and vc I got a $200 discount but they took away the $100 OBC.
  17. Suggestion:. Just order four or five to start. So e plates are bigger than others so by then you will know how much more to order. We wound up leaving over alot.
  18. When we were on the Enchanted in November we enjoyed most of the entertainment except for the guy who sang at the piano at the Crooners bar. He did have a good voice but all his songs seemed to be sung on one note and he changed up the melodies of every song that they were unrecognizable. After the theater we always grab a capaccino at the IC and sit in the atrium to listen to the music but listening to him was almost excrutiating.
  19. When we were on the Enchanted in November it took three days before any "beef" was on the menu.
  20. We had been monitoring the airfare for several months. We only fly nonstop. The cheapest we could find was on Fly to Fun for $1000pp. It was United economy (not basic so we could choose our seats.) from EWR to BAR on Thursday, May 25th and return from LHR on Sunday, June 18th (we are doing B2B. Then it was no longer available on F2F. On United's website the same flights were $1500 pp. The seats were filling up so I wound up using most of our miles plus cash to book. This was in October. We are staying in Hotel HCC Montblanc near Playa Cataluna and Gothic area.
  21. We are on this cruise also. We had to use 95,000 miles each plus $150 each to go from EWR to Barcelona and back from LHR. And this is just economy on United. There is only one nonstop flight and the seats were filling up so had to book it.
  22. I wasn't ready to use it to book another cruise so bought 2 $500 OBC certificates for my cruise in Feb.
