  1. We did the dinner in the Habachi in 2020, with my wife of 41 years, and they gave her no shrimp, or any other bad allergens of hers. So, yeah in general I would say 99% safe. Poop happens, when it does it is on us to do the right thing. Don’t eat the shrimp. My understanding is that Lobster is less reactive to most allergic people compared to shrimp. My wife, again, has been tested with all of this, and crab and lobster are oK, but shrimp are a No No. jc\
  2. I completely get the royal up screw up… I am happy the OP got a favorable resolution. I still think the general fear associated with balconies and toddlers is way, way, way, over exaggerated. If you are talking 10 year olds, high schoolers, all bets are off. They are prime candidates to do stupid stuff, but a child that is barely walking…. I am still waiting for an example of a toddler falling off on their own…. I am pretty sure it has never happened. Therefore, I suspect that booking a balcony with a toddler is pretty safe. Despite all of the fear presented in this thread. JMHO and YMMV jc
  3. Apparently, I actually over estimate parents ability to take care of their children, since so many people seem to think the toddler is in danger with responsible parents in a balcony cabin. I have been a member here for 20 plus years, and I feel pretty current on history of people falling off of ships, and I only remember one instance, and that was the tragic case of the grandfather dropping the toddler off the ship. Can you site the example of a true toddler falling off a modern cruise ship on their own? jc
  4. What is the risk of a balcony. A toddler can’t jump the railing and can’t fall off?
  5. North Star is worth about a $1. the IFly is way better.
  6. Even with MTD, most of the time you can get your same wait staff and at a minimum your head waiter of your section. They will take care of him jc
  7. I believe you were misinformed. Just have her call C&A and add her partner to her C&A status.
  8. If something is overly popular wouldn’t it make sense to expand it and reduce traditional dining? Most of these ships have 3 levels. Currently MTD gets 1 and Traditional 2. Might need to swith that around.
  9. Cute pups. Why would MTD people show up at regular scheduled dining? We have participated in MTD for over a decade and never one time did I show up at the regular dining venue.
  10. So, all I am hearing, is yes you are correct!😂 jc
  11. I think if they are living at the same address they would get the same status if they request it. She will have zero points, but will be treated as emerald as long as they are together, or diamond once he hits diamond. I have never been in this position so I am not an expert, but feel pretty confident in my reply. 🤣 jc
  12. It is still a somewhat free country, if you want a test, by all means take one. Since it is a free country, you can’t make someone else do something you want them to do. See how that works? Pretty simple logic. jc
  13. Starlink is massively less expensive than other satelite options. It is not the first generation of a product. It is an evolution. An Evolution that has to compete with cell companies, satelite companies, cable companies, and telephone companies. Hardly a product without market competition. jc
  14. I suspect it will be really good in the middle of the pacific. Once they get it where it is available to cars, it will be super available to slow moving ocean ships
  15. Yeah, covid will continue to screw with us all, but fortunately, we are approaching accepting of that fact and are ready to just live our lives again. Good job everybody. It still sucks, but we are not letting it control us and ruin our lives any longer!!!! jc
  16. I have absolutely been waiting for you to come along. Please do. Let us know how it works out. You can always buy the internet package on day 3. I think you need to try until you are well out into the ocean!!!! Remember to report back Ranger!🤣 jc
  17. So much of what renza said is true. The Key when it first was introduced was an expensive but worthwhile thing if you wanted to FlowRide for example. It is clearly less awesome now. That said, I did it on my last cruise, and I didn’t regret it. I may never do it again, as the price to participate might never again get into the acceptable zone. It doesn’t suck completely. jc
