  1. Yes, there can be targeted fare promotions by various regions, etc. But the eligible 3-character Fare Codes are associated with the guest account and are accessible - maybe an agent needs to look around more (IDK), but I see them all myself as well if using an outside booking engine that is full-featured (Princess only ever shows one fare code).
  2. You have calculated the "fixed costs" correctly for two people as $29 + $10 = $39. PLUS now costs $100/day for two people. Therefore, drinks portion is $61 (used to be $41).
  3. Since you are unfamiliar with Princess and your Mother has not had any favors done by her former agency, it might be best to try and get an internal CVP assigned and hope to get a good one. If she is going to be sailing more, perhaps she will learn of good independent TA's while on the ship and can reach out to them. The other way is to follow the advice given in post #3 by @PTMary.
  4. That's is likely because you have only interacted with Canadian-based TA's - at least that is my educated 99% guess. I agree that a good CVP can be a boon to a guest. However, they cannot discount from Princess pricing like a TA can. There are TA's that are equally as good as a good CVP in terms of service and knowledge.
  5. This is 100% incorrect. Anything that is eligible for a guest is equally available for a TA to book as well as a Princess rep or a Princess CVP.
  6. Deck 5 - Atrium. Hmm.. hold on there Bubba Louie! It looks like they have re-badged the Patisserie to Good Spirits, so I would say all the special coffees must have been moved to Lido Buffet only. We need to hear from someone on board, as they might still have the coffee service in the mornings on Deck 5. It is a challenge on the smaller ships to try and provide larger ship services - no way to have them all.
  7. ???? On Princess.com, I see an AUG 22, 2022, voyage for sale on Coral. And the other dates around it for this month.
  8. IMO, there is no excuse for data corruption issues which is what this looks like.
  9. I hear you, but my point was to use a SD credit for the CG since it costs more and pay for Sabi's since it costs less.
  10. That's what we do. Standard and pay for internet at 50% off and also the Crew Incentive. I bring on my own wine and with a mini-bar setup, we don't buy many bar drinks. I used to get close to getting the PLUS, but then don't when I looked at the numbers. Now the threshold is higher to justify at $50/day (but I do realize it is a no-brainer for many folks). We are heading off on port-intensive voyages this Fall and not so much chance to get money's worth then. I am glad they have these flexible fare options for guests so everyone can get what fits them the best.
  11. The 10-nighter program of alternating voyages has been a staple with Princess. For the new release in 2024, the following are 10-night voyages: 1/7, 1/17, 1/27, 2/6, 2/16, 2/26, 3/7, 3/17, 3.27 - all on Enchanted. ETA: Oops - sorry, looks like you need 2023
  12. This is exactly the point. Don't advertise the fastest internet at sea and it's like being at home and then unable to deliver. Don't advertise you can still have TD in the DR's and then be unable to deliver. In Canada (and the US for that matter), there are laws about false advertising, but I imagine the cruise lines just slip away from that nuisance.
  13. That's what I was going to say. Have done it more than once - just to get an idea of what to expect.
  14. Yahbut... the addition of PLUS or PREMIUM is a constant no matter what the voyage is and is simply a value-proposition question to be analyzed and answered for each guest. Also, another constant is $14.50x2 = $29 per day - again no matter the cost of the underlying voyage.
  15. I am not sure what you mean by parameters and also your other post seemed to imply you are restricted to 10-night voyage? I don't see why you could not book something else and your credit gets applied and you pay the difference. Have you asked?
  16. This. If you wait until on-board, the prices are $15 and $25, so it REALLY doesn't make sense.
  17. Someone posted about it being expensive. That Inside price is pretty cheap for 10 nights!
  18. I would say this is true for Caribbean itineraries and perhaps also for the ones heading to west coast Mexico. In the tropical areas, it is a challenge for sure and you need to scoot right there and also be among the early boarders. @Pickels, you didn't mention when/where planning to sail, but there is certainly less demand on port-intensive and areas like northern Europe, South America, etc. I don't even have a sense the Mediterranean zone is anything like the Caribbean for accessing Sanctuary. ETA: If you get there and line is an hour long, you are toast. When I have booked Sanctuary (Caribbean), I have been among the first couple of people up there - even when I had to board after the Elites. And no, I am not an Olympic-class runner, but when there is a will, there is a way.
  19. I think some people were checking for the new voyages way too early considering PCL is in Pacific Time Zone. Looks like all is there now.
  20. It is what it is, but I wonder why this is just for UK departures? Those cruises also visit EU ports. I guess we wait for the next update to see what happens next. ETA: Maybe it's a test market.
  21. Login to your account on Princess.com. Access your upcoming voyage (Cruise Personalizer). On the main page, they tout downloading the MC App from Google Play Store and Apple Store. Just underneath their in small type is a link to the web version of MC App. The web version includes the OCEAN Ready section, plus DineMyWay (DMW). https://oceanready-personalinfo-ui.prod.ocean.com
  22. I would say a lot of the reviews are applicable to the earlier times of the App and a lot of those would influence the average. I gave it a 1 out of the gate. I did come back later and update my rating, but most people won't bother doing that. I don't see any reason to give it more than an average rating until they have resolved all of the issues and make improvements. That said, you should be able to complete the basic and required information without too much trouble - UNLESS you are afflicted by data corruption and then someone on the OCEAN IT team needs to find and fix the data issue. I would say a lot of the issues they still have are data-related and not necessarily App programming logic. Another big fail is in design of DMW section (but that is another story I won't go into).
  23. I am not so sure this works all the time. Princess could ask for the current fare price for the cabin category with Plus option. It's like if I decided to upgrade from a BE Balcony to a BB and expected to just pay the differential between the categories. Nope - you have to pay today's fare.
