On all 3 of my cruises the DMW reservations have been changed to undesirable times when boarding…no human intervention but a poorly designed app. Hopefully for you, it will work out better for your group than it has for us. 🤞

Thanks…I have been lucky to receive a few calls after the pause & recognize they are understaffed but hopefully they are following up on the most urgent situations.

Last year received no reply from Steinke nor his staff & read on this board that he was no longer at Princess. I have no way to confirm that fact but receiving no reply from him when previously I had received replies makes me wonder if he is still employed by Princess.

Thanks…we’re excited to cruise with Oceania! 😁 In over 50 cruises we’ve never had a bad cruise & just some that were better than other cruises.

We’re first time Oceania cruisers after primarily cruising on Princess for decades & using their EZair program has worked well for us to select our preferred flights & airfare including the ability to cancel and/or rebook. I’ve read the Oceania Air FAQs which shows there are more limitations such as not learning about flight assignments until 75 days in advance. Also to get preferred flights requires a $175 fee per person per request (one-way or roundtrip?) to customize flights in addition to any cost for a higher airfare no earlier than 270 days in advance. We usually arrive a day or more in advance but since they state flights will arrive on embarkation day then arriving earlier isn’t an option without paying the $175 fee plus any higher airfare. I’ve only read dissatisfaction about Oceania flight assignments on this board but think that some people must have had good experiences. Although not knowing the flights until 75 days in advance we’d be hesitant to gamble on getting reasonable flights. While having included transportation to/from the ship is a nice benefit it might not be worthwhile if getting undesirable flights. When using Princess EZair they state if missing the ship they’ll get you to the next port. I see nothing in the Oceania Air FAQs that states what happens if missing the ship due to a delayed flight booked by Oceania…does anyone know what happens? I decided to first ask for passengers’ input before contacting Oceania & hoping to receive accurate answers. Any experiences would be greatly appreciated as we continue to research whether the Oceania Air option or paying/using miles to book independently would be our best option…thanks. 😊

Like ‘kiwimum’ have not seen wine packages on our 3 cruises after restarting cruising. With all of the reports about wine inventory shortages & more people appearing to have drink packages I would be surprised if wine packages return. On many cruises over 7 days we enjoyed wine packages & got our preferred wines but they appear to be gone.

Starlink was on Celebrity’s Solstice in early December but we didn’t use it because of the cost. As I recall, it was about $20 per day for basic Internet and $30 a day for the streaming service. Being in Mexican coastal ports for half of the days we got by with using our cell phone plans with free data in port.

I contacted my TA who called O and learned that we could get the anniversary’s $400 OBC added but would lose the existing free tips ($252) from the travel group’s perk. We had our TA make the change to gain an additional $148 of OBC & our tips are still covered. 😊

I have no experience with purchasing two 1 device packages because my wife & I share one package. My guess would be that each person would need to purchase a package on their own app although I am not going to risk purchasing a package now to know if it’s possible for one person to purchase two 1 device packages & hopefully someone knows that answer. Previously the cost for purchasing two 1 device packages was the same as the 4 device package. Now that isn’t true which for my 10 day cruise the 4 device plan is $200 ($20/day) or $150 ($15/day) for two 1 device packages. For us the 1 device plan we share has increased from $5/day to $7.50/day.

For our 10 day eclipse cruise with you on Discovery I now see the correct amounts after the recent app update however being 449 days out not purchasing it now.

There are elevators to the rooms from the lobby & also from street level for bags or anyone who doesn’t want to walk up the stairs to the lobby. Like Ibis we enjoyed the breakfast buffet. We’ve had both the single level & two level room with the bed upstairs. Hopefully you’re weathering these storms okay like we are in eastern VC.

Three years ago they had a reasonably priced shuttle to the ship.

Sailed twice on Discovery (balcony & deluxe balcony) & no night lights.

We’ve enjoyed Hotel San Giorgio twice before embarking on cruises. It’s located on the street fronting the beach & easy for us to walk around Civitavecchia including picking up our favorite Italian wines. In my opinion there’s not much to do in town but it’s nice to not have to travel to the port on embarkation day. First time we took the train from Roma Termini station but preferred going by shuttle van the second time.

Great information posted by all of you & greatly appreciate taking the time to share it with me. 😊 I can have sugar sweetened items & my wife just prefers artificially sweetened diet drinks such as Coke Zero & in coffee drinks. And yes, we have an inside guarantee so no extra benefits.
