I believe the ”per package” notation is an error and “per day” was omitted by the unfortunate employee who set this up. The $89 package has to be an error because it makes no sense financially, and I think that is the most likely explanation of the error.

I think the price is supposed to be per day, not per package. That would be the equivalent of $45 per day per person, compared to $31 +/- for the Key. It sounds like a luxury Key experience to me, minus the (inconvenient) exclusive hours on some activities and the lunches would be spread more evenly throughout the week instead of all Keys on embarkation day.

I use the website, not the app, unless I am checking in or on board and I am forced to.

I have two Celebrity sailings booked (August 2023 and April 2024) but the pass is not available for either. There is a tab for ”packages”, but the only packages available are drinks and dining. Onboard activities list the all-access tour for $116 each.

AARP membership is $12. Chase Freedom and at least one other credit card (CitiCard and/or BOA) have an offer to spend $12 and get an $8 statement credit.

This reminds me of rude behavior I witnessed at the Aqua show on one of the Oasis class ships several years ago. An older couple were seated at the end the end of one of the benches, with a minimal amount of space to their right. A woman squeezed into that space and the couple moved closer together. After a few minutes, an older woman handed a baby to the seated woman. A few minutes after that, she brought over a 3 or 4-year old child and the first woman sat the child next to her. The older couple squeezed even closer together. Finally, the older woman picked up the child, sat in the small space he had occupied, and held him. By the end of the show, the older child was seated between the two women and the older couple were just about falling off the end of the bench, looking miserably uncomfortable.

Many years ago, when I still ate at McDonald’s, I would order something unusual to make sure it was made fresh. I usually ordered a “cheeseburger with only ketchup”. I paid the cheeseburger price and received a cheeseburger wrapper containing a bun, meat, and ketchup. No cheese, because I ordered it with only ketchup. 🙄.

That is the bill from Park ‘n Cruise - $10.95 a day plus $6 port entry fee plus tax. We hate driving in the ports, so we are happy to stop at the off-site parking lot two miles before we would get to the port. Lifting the luggage is a problem for us; they remove it from the car and lift it back in when we return. Nice shuttles, nice drivers, and organization at the port when returning from our cruises. And every sixth stay is free; they encourage saving a free stay for a longer cruise and not wasting it on a short cruise.

Port Canaveral charges $17 per day for both the day of arrival and the day of departure. So does an off-site parking lot at that port (Park ‘n Cruise). We will arrive on April 16 for a six-night cruise, leaving in the 22nd, and will be charged for seven days. So they are collecting a daily parking fee for both the vehicle that is picked up at 8 a.m. and the one that is dropped off at 10 a.m. I don’t think all ports do that.

Harmony of the Seas Boardwalk Balcony
ZoeyVictoria replied to Rayneman5's topic in Royal Caribbean International
We had a boardwalk balcony on the Harmony and it was our least favorite cabin in 80+ cruises. We were closer to the center and on deck 14, but the noise was never-ending. The outdoor movie was the worst part for me. We really enjoyed Central Park balconies, but the Boardwalk was not for us. -
Transportation from Fort Lauderdale to Port Canaveral
ZoeyVictoria replied to BORN A BOWLER's topic in Florida Departures
We live within driving distance of all of the Florida ports and have made friends on cruises who we would have loved to help out with rides. Our cars are too small and our amount of luggage is too large to allow that to happen. -
Was yours mailed or online? I noticed they closed the online application option for most of February, after I used it to apply on January 19. I will come back with my “received” date once it happens, since I used the new online method. We are just three miles from the Cortez bridge, but go to Palmetto to Wal Mart and Detwiler’s because we enjoy the drive through the downtown area. Also the Covid testing center at the Convention Center, back in the good old days of required testing 😂

No, we just chose the largest gap in between our cruises in hopes of not having to cruise without passports (ten weeks). On our last cruise in January, he took his passport card with him (just in case), but used his birth certificate to check in, to make sure it was the “correct” version. No problems with the b/c.

Sorry yours is not perfect, but I do feel better knowing we aren’t the only ones - thanks!

I know there are frequent questions about the processing time for passports, this is a slightly different question. How long should it take for a new passport application that was mailed for the status to show up online? My SO had a passport card and mailed in his application for a passport book three weeks ago. We cannot find the status online. I applied for a renewal of my passport book online about the same time and could see the “in process” status almost immediately. Should we be worried about his application? If it was incomplete/incorrect, would it be mailed back to him?

Cove vs Standard balcony dilemma
ZoeyVictoria replied to CruiseMark's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Thank you so much, that info is absolutely helpful! We are just a few cabins away from 5348, and we prefer easy walking access (stairs) to decks 6-8 over the upper decks. Add in not having to fight for elevators when returning from ports, and it sounds perfect! -
Cove vs Standard balcony dilemma
ZoeyVictoria replied to CruiseMark's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
I have a cove booked for the first time on the Celebration in October, because (1) That many people can’t be wrong, and (2) regular balconies are available on every ship on every cruise line - cove balconies are unique. -

Look at the body language in that crowd. Not a single one looks happy. I don’t blame them!
