  1. could be pelican adventures. https://www.carnival.com/shore-excursions/aruba/sailaway-snorkel--palm-beach-with-bbq-lunch-412041 carnival always has reviews.
  2. https://www.royalgazette.com/health/news/article/20220930/ta-form-to-be-phased-out-but-no-decision-on-fee/#:~:text=Travellers have to pay a,from the TA this year. This is an interesting article. I started reading more about the fee as I had to pay it 2 separate times for a land and cruise vacation. A friend of mine is from Bermuda and had to keep paying the fee every month as she flew back and forth from US to handle family issues. Moving forward, the island made about $22,000,000 from this fee. If the US was that business savvy, we could have paid off the national debt with all our traffic into our country. Regardless, I like Bermuda and I am looking forward to returning next year hopefully without all the pre cruise forms.
  3. So what exactly now is the $40 for? No flaming please. I was under the impression this was to process the covid tests for anyone entering the country.
  4. I thought so!! lol. Ok this one goes to the kittiwake shipwreck It is a little difficult to find a non ship tour to tske you unless you are scuba diving. Plus the 2nd stop is a nice reef. My husband and I are renting kayaks to go out to kittiwake to snorkel in February which should be fun (🙄). I personally like your excursion better!
  5. The only reason I'd choose Grand Cayman snorkel over the other selection is the other one goes to Cali A which is at Eden Rock which you can get to easily from tender port. Eden Rock I believe still rents equipment unless you have your own. I suggest doing the Cali A on your own and the Grand Caymen with the ship excursion. That area around Cali A is really good snorkeling. If you like snorkeling, I suggest looking for the Cressi brands for face mask and fins. Really good quality and lasts. Also bring a little dish soap in a small container and use to defog your mask. Just a dot and then rub around and rinse. Good Luck!! Also there are buoys and markers at Eden Rock. The only boat traffic are the dive boats and they go slow as you can't speed that close to shore.
  6. No it was a mistake. It was 65% off instead of 35%. I did the math then. It was readjusted later to 35%.
  7. I did see that. We have equinox and beyond 2023 Christmas/nye in the retreat upcoming and I also noticed Barre classes which I love. Hopefully since we are in Aqua on the Equinox plus have a lot of OBC on the Beyond, I can try some classes. Will also check out the Pelotons as well.
  8. This may not matter to a lot of people but a much better selection of gym classes on Celebrity instead of the usual yoga/cycling on RCCL. We have only done the Summit so far on Celebrity and different classes of ships of Royal. Royal definitely wins for food variety on Oasis class. Except for the ice cream and gelato which I give to Celebrity. It really is apples to oranges and depends on really what you want.
  9. I'll be on in 17 days and have the UDP if you want info as well plus the Key.
  10. Great pictures! We are on the October 23 sailing. Happy about starlink and seeing a Truly can 😃
  11. I wear my Lucky jeans plus a nice top and high heels every time for chic night. I save my ball gowns and husband's tux for work soirees.
  12. exactly. will never understand why these folks love to post on these threads. Those of us who have jobs where we can't disconnect appreciate this info about the internet.
  13. Many androids can. Should be checked and set up prior to trip.
  14. yes to Royals. Mom may have to upgrade or move around to get good signal to call. Or she may need to make sure her wifi calling is on plus airplane plus connected to wifi.
  15. at the port in Barcelona. Nice balcony assignment for a TA. We were expecting an inside. This was before I knew about barcode trick.
  16. I understand that. But isn't it easier to just open the app and sit down somewhere and do this rather then wander around and have to stand in lines? I love tech stuff because it's made my life much easier so I really can't understand why people resist it. Just one of the mysteries of life I can't grasp. But to be fair, I am more on my phone then socializing so perhaps the act of having conversations and interactions instead of glued to phone is easier for some than others.
  17. no. if you had a car, yes. Not a golf cart.
  18. I highly recommend klein bonaire. Afterwards go to Divi or Eden and have a bite to eat plus more snorkeling. Try to find an excursion that goes to the national park both for snorkeling and off roading.
  19. so if a passenger turns off the world and places all electronic devices in their safe, it would be safe to say it would be difficult for them to do the muster drill and reserve dining and shows. I suppose they would have to contact people onboard to help them. Luckily this isn't me. I personally find the app helpful and easy to use. Much better then dragging paper and a pencil around.
  20. yes you'll be fine with 1145 FLL. I don't know how tech savvy you are but some options are regarding your boarding pass: print at airport. Download the Delta app on your phone pre cruise then buy one day of internet on ship and screenshot the boarding pass.
  21. My first time in the Aqua Room upcoming in February on the Equinox. This is a great thread and I've discovered a lot of positive features for my sailing. I do have a question re the gym classes. Are any fee based for Aqua guests? Or can you sign up for any without fees?
  22. The one with the shipwreck is the Cali A which is literally right next to the cruise port off of Eden Rock. If you have your own gear you can do it yourself. Or you can rent gear at the dive shop there. If a choice between 2, I'd do the other. If the excursion Sunken Ship and Snorkel is available, grab this. Its the Kittiwake plus cheeseburger reef and is a tough trip to get minus the Stingrays by locals. I have this reserved on my Beyond cruise.
  23. That's exactly what we are doing in February off the Equinox. We get in at 7 and leave at 3. Car rental place we use opens at 9. It just isn't worth it under 5 hours to drive around so we are taking Caribe over to Klein bonaire to drift snorkel for the day. Plus it's much cheaper then guided snorkeling and more fun.
