  1. Of the choice of the two QV/QE we personally prefer QE than QV but don't there is not a lot of difference. Like has previously said access from Southampton means we have to sail on QV in the past. With regards to staff never noticed any difference on any of the ships, including QM2, as they are all excellent. General staff waiters, bar staff, cabin stewards etc tend to move around ships anyway so never understood that QV staff are any better than other ships.
  2. We received an e mail with offer to upgrade on our December Canaries cruise last year. We were in PG and we bid for QG even though the grade we bid for was showing as sold out. We then received an e mail some time later saying we had been successful with our bid and giving new suite number. Don't know how it works but should imagine they send out upgrade e mails just in case they have any late cancellations.
  3. Had an OK cruise on Oceans moreso because of people we met onboard rather than the ship. Oriana never liked the ship and certainly didn't shed a tear when she was sold.
  4. 25ml is the standard serving of a spirit in any licensed bar or hotel in the UK.
  5. E-mail direct to chief executive office with your complaint and how it has been dealt with.
  6. But I do not think the price quoted by Mysticalmother was for 1 nt pre cruise and 16 NTS parking for £152. I think she was being charged £152 for parking as she was staying pre cruise but that was not included in that price.
  7. But even if you just pay for parking at Elizabeth House and do not stay pre cruise at £180 for 15 days is not cheap. At £225 for 1nt pre cruise breakfast, 15 days parking and return taxis at Chilworth Manor is excellent value for money.
  8. You shouldn't have to ask they should do it automatically that is what they are paid commission for.
  9. No it hasn't changed or at least it hadn't in November last year.
  10. If you apply for shareholder benefit then the cruise line issues a new invoice including benefit to TA. It is not the TA who issues new invoice just forward it on and should do that automatically if yours doesn't do that then I would get a new TA.
  11. If Shareholder OBC benefit is about to be ended in July, which nobody officially knows it is all guesswork. Why have Carnival negotiated a contract to administer applications for benefit with Stockperks if they are going to end paying benefits.
  12. The main issue with pre authorisation on cards is more of an issue on debit cards rather than credit cards unless you go over your card limit.
  13. The price quoted by Elizabeth House in July for 1nt pre cruise and 14nts parking is £373.50 which is a considerable amount. You have to price 1nt stay and parking separately and then add together to get inclusive price. £193.50 for room and £180 just for parking.
  14. Searched for pre cruise stay in hotel and for parking included and couldn't find anyone near £152.
  15. That is expensive when you can use an established and highly reviewed meet and greet at port where they take your car to their secure compound close to docks and return your car to terminal. Parking4Cruises is virtually the same and only charges £130-£140 for 14 NTS and is virtually the same as CPS.
  16. You don't have to but coffee/tea you can help yourself free from the machines in restaurant.
  17. No need can stay at HIE and get free coffee/tea.
  18. No problem you can check out of your room by 11am and then sit in small area or dining area nr reception for as long as you want. You can also get coffee/tea free from machines in restaurant. We sat there until 1pm last year with no problems and some Americans who also stayed at hotel didn't have a boarding time until 3pm and we're staying in hotel.
  19. Not always faff free when we returned from our last cruise we used CPS and when we arrived at the shed for keys at Ocean there was a couple with an official with the back end of there car all smashed in. So even with CPS can go wrong and are not perfect.
  20. No faff with Parking4Cruises they are virtually the same as CPS. Only difference drop your luggage off and take your car to short stay car park which is next to where you drop car off at Ocean with CPS. Simple, straightforward and they drive your car away to a secure compound exactly same as CPS but a lot cheaper
  21. Don't think that is correct when we have taken out pre- medical quote and paid for it and also the extra cruise cover supplement we paid UK Travel direct and when we claimed for missed ports we had to ring UK Travel direct to make the claim and they paid the money direct into my account. The only dealing we have with Nationwide is the £13 monthly cost which they take automatically from your Flexplus account.
  22. Not very impressed with 2026 programme nothing of any interest in the Spring for Southampton sailings. QA for the whole year seems to be very expensive, think we will hang on see if anything of interest on QV after Oct 2026 is released when hopefully she will return to Southampton.
  23. Yes sorry my mistake got Arvia on my brain thinking of our cruise in April.
  24. Is an option if allowed. We are due for renewal 21st May so will be with Arvia.and don't know if they will allow me to renew before 1st May and stay with UK Travel for another 12 months. If they won't allow will wait to see what Arvia charge for pre existing medical conditions and individual charge for every extra cruise cover and conditions because don't seem to have revealed that yet.
  25. Nothing to do with Consumer Laws in any country when if you book QG/PG in US you get free gratuities and drinks package. If you book the same cruise and from the UK you get zilch. That is down to Cunard and how they treat cruiser's differently from whichever country they are from nothing to do with Consumer Law.
