Yes, from the bathroom tap (faucet). Perfectly good to drink. Or available in Lido 24 hours (ice optional) along with tea/coffee. Bottled water is chargeable.

We hang our lanyards on the door stop so that they hit us in the face when we open the door. 🙄 Handy for when we need to order doubles in the bar! 😉

Usually we get emails from HAL asking us to review excursions within a few weeks of returning home. -

It can be activated in Android, but I don't know if it will function or not. Settings > Apps > Navigator > Notifications/Permissions. -
Will there be taxis at the pier in Dun Laoghaire?
VMax1700 replied to KKB's topic in British Isles/Western Europe
The taxi stand is located on Marine Road, just slightly uphill from the pier. The cab will take 4 persons of regular size as it is a standard european saloon car. 3 seated on back seat and one up front beside driver (driver will be on right hand side of vehicle!!) We drive on the left side of the road in Ireland. I would reckon the cost on being closer to €40/€45. Time taken will depend greatly on the time of year and time of day. June, July & August will be quicker as schools and colleges are into summer break. Up to 9.30am in the morning will be slower due to morning commuter traffic. Day return ticket for the train is €5 per person and a Visitor Leap card (valid on train and Dublin Bus) is €8 for 24 hours ticket. -
There is a bank just across the road from the Titanic Experience in the centre of town. Very close to the 'terminal'. There is no terminal building so you will need to walk a couple of hundred yards

I really doubt the port authorities would permit tendering in the Piraeus area. It is just too busy to be safe.

As an alternative to this, we have retutned to the room and found the steward's card in the slot. Difficult to accept, but they too are human.

Yes, that is the latest one.

Smaller ships dock in Dublin. Azamara Onward (1st July '24) and Azamara Quest (25th July '24) are both listed as docking in Dublin Port. Here is a link to the docking schedule for Dublin Port and for Dun Laoghaire. A few ships do actually dock in Dun Laoghaire, but very few!

@FredZiffle What is the itinerary? Is that the 28 day Adriatic Dream and Passage to America? If so, it is a different ball game. You only have a couple of sea days in the first 3 weeks! Some very interesting ports, so you hardly will have time to sleep never mind be entertained. The TA section is different and I suggest you look at some of the 'live from' threads from last October/November for an indication of entertainment etc. If it is a different itinerary, then I apologise for my ramblings!

As I am just newly admitted to this audio assistance world, how do you deal with actually speaking on the 'phone'. I am very consious of appearing to speak to no one when having a conversation on the BT hearing aids. I tried talking with my hand over my mouth, but that just muffles the sound to the aids. How do you manage? (apologies for thread drift)

Not NCL's fault, but required by the Dublin Port Authority. Very few cruise ships now dock in Dublin Port but tender at Dun Laoghaire. Believe it or not, caused by Brexit and the DPA requiring more space for import/export procedures.

Timing of ship exit at port?
VMax1700 replied to FirsttimecruiserRC2024's topic in Royal Caribbean International
Welcome to CC. The important word in your question is 'docks'. Certainly, as CruiserBruce states, in most cases you should be on dry land by 7.30, but if it happens to be a 'tender port' then it will take a lot longer. Check your itinerary just to be certain that you do 'dock' at all ports. -
And that is the reason that there is the daily hotel charge/crew gratuities/ or whatever they have named it this week. Correct?
-
Have a great cruise!
-
Of course they will. But the fare will be on the meter unless you arrange a fixed price for day/half day/ 3 hours etc before you start. Also, the driver is a taxi driver and not a tour guide so you will probably not receive any information on the trip. Driver may or may not speak english. I would think that taxis will be available at the port but will know for certain when we dock there next month.

Not all enjoyed it more. We found it grating and irritating. More of a mismatch than anything else.

I am not seeing that anywhere on the website. Can you post a link? -
Can I see all menus in the app for my future cruise?
VMax1700 replied to graceinga's topic in Holland America Line
Not possible. When you select Main Dining Room on the app you are seeing today's menu on the ship. It may not be the same menu on the same day for your sailing unless the ship is doing a similar itinerary.
