  1. Free drinks on Rotterdam last night for 3, 4 and 5 star Mariners. Lots of drink and nibbles served non stop between 7pm and 8pm.
  2. I have no experience of it, but need to clarify that Club Orange is not a speciality dining venue. On Koningsdam (and other Pinnacle class ships i.e. Nieuw Statendam and Rotterdam) it is a dining location that is available to Neptune/Pinnacle suite guests plus guests in other staterooms who purchase the Club Orange upgrade. So, not everyone in the Club Orange dinning location will be in a Suite. Breakfast is served there and dinner. The dinner is basically the same as MDR plus an extra entree that is not available to others. The other benefits of Club Orange relate to priority boarding - which you would have in a Neptune Suite and priority tender in event of a port that requires a tender.
  3. Tonight was the Culinary Council. Totally overrated and rubbish food, in our opinion. There was a special 'Norwegian Dinner' in Lido. You could not find an empty table all evening. To me, that speaks a lot. There was fresh cod (fish & chips), salmon, meatballs (Swedish?) and lots of other things including suckling pig. Really great dinner.
  4. If the turn out this evening in the Lido, while the Culinary Council dinner was on the MDR, this will be a flop! I have never seen Lido so busy. Maybe the Norwegian Dinner helped, but the Cukinary Council is an instant 'avoid at all costs' for us.
  5. Wednesday's MDR menu, it's the chef's dinner. I will stay away from that.
  6. Tuesday's MDR menu. The was also the most divine Lemon Sole in Lido.
  7. Navigator offers booking MDR only up to 5.30pm and after 8pm. So the prime hours are not available to pre book.
  8. Bergen was dry and sunny yesterday and today Molde was blue sky from one horizon to the next. 61°F/16°C I don't know why we dragged all this wet weather gear with us. Yah, I know, wait for Iceland.
  9. 🥂 🍷 Thank you for the encouragement. I will read it again later if the will power starts to wilt! (DW says you should not be encouraging me, as I can do ok by myself 😉)
  10. Here is today's 'Daily Program' on Rotterdam. Guess which are charged and which are free?
  11. I am also currently onboard and drinking copious amounts of Merlot and Prosecco daily.
  12. Our first day onboard (August 28th) it was only fountain Diet Coke as they had run out during the previous voyage. Also they were giving the 'Open Water' alloy bottles, again as they were out of the 'cans'. Normal supply resumed by 9pm that evening.
  13. What is the 'Guest Information area'? Is this on your TA's website? AFAIK there is no place on the HAL website that shows invoices.
  14. MDR is usually closed on port days. We had a sea day yesterday (on Rotterdam) and MDR was open from 12 -1pm I don't know if it is possible to order items through room service, as none of the lunch items appeal to us!
  15. Thanks. I could not remember when they last increased the 'gratuities/hotel charge/crew appreciation' charge.
