  1. Posted too quickly! dates edited, see above.
  2. Dry dock is either Feb 18th - March 4th or March 25th to April 9th. I am not 100% sure which date yet, but there are gaps in her itinerary on both those dates.
  3. Oosterdam 6117 SS category. taken June 2022.
  4. If you are arriving the morning of your cruise 😱 then it is a 'no brainer'.
  5. I posted a link earlier, but it seems to be against CC rules and has gone to the naughty room! try this instead...... http://static.cdn.responsys.net/i2/responsysimages/content/holndamrca/RTDMY261_EmbarkRotterdam.pdf
  6. Here is a copy of the email I received from HAL. If you follow the link mentioned you will get all the details. IMPORTANT NOTIFICATION Please be advised that embarkation and disembarkation for your Rotterdam cruise departing on Sunday, August 28, will now take place in Rotterdam rather than in Amsterdam as scheduled. Cruise Terminal Rotterdam is located at Wilhelminakade 699, 3072 AP Rotterdam. Guests with Holland America Line pre-cruise hotels or transfers will be taken directly to the pier in Rotterdam. For more information regarding directions, parking information, and public transportation, please visit: https://*****/Y261EMB We look forward to welcoming you on board.
  7. There could be more than one person confused by all the 'Rotterdam' references. 'Rotterdam', 'ss Rotterdam', 'cruise terminal Rotterdam', I wonder why I have been humming 'Beautiful South' music for the last few days?? "This could be Rotterdam or anywhereLiverpool or Rome'Cause Rotterdam is anywhereAnywhere alone"
  8. The verandah category cabins on deck 4 - yes, but there are Vista verandah suites on deck 4 (in the middle bulge) which are not obstructed.
  9. Considering the price of alcohol in Norway and Iceland, not having a 'naughty table' is not really surprising. 😉
  10. Well in this case it seems that cruisedeckplans is even slower. The BBK area was originally called the Queens Lounge and then renamed to BBK. CDP also shows Eurodam having Queen's Lounge while HAL shows it as BBK Whereas Oosterdam which had Queen's Lounge, renamed to BBK and now has Rolling Stone Lounge, is shown on CDP as having Queen's Lounge, but hal shows it as Rolling Stone Lounge.
  11. I really wanted one of those, but ended up with an Alfasud 😭 But an Alfa is an Alfa (when it goes 😉)
  12. Why would you rely on a third party website? The hal website clearly shows it as BB Kings Blues Club. https://www.hollandamerica.com/en_US/cruise-ships.html https://www.hollandamerica.com/en_US/cruise-ships/ms-eurodam/0.html https://www.hollandamerica.com/en_US/cruise-ships.html
  13. I was a bit upset with this as it stated from Sept 6th and we sail on August 28th thru September 11th. But, on mature reflection, at least we know that those sailing with us are vaccinated and tested currently negative rather than non vaxed and tested and currently negative.
  14. details on HAL website: https://www.hollandamerica.com/en_US/crew-appreciation.html
  15. I would be a bit slow to do it as a DIY on a 10 hour port stop. When you allow time to get to the car rental desk (Maria Zambrano RNFE Station? or Airport??) and get your car and allow time for returning the car and getting back to the port, you are a lot less than 10 hours. Depending on time of year, parking close the Alhambra entrance can be problematic and you may have a long walk (or even shuttle bus) from one of the remote car parks. Do remember to pre book your admission tickets, They are very precise with admission timings (Nasrid Palace). If you are early, you must wait until your time slot. If you are late, they will only admit you if the next group is below maximum numbers.
  16. The screen of the device with show either EURO/S in text or show the euro sign €
  17. Volendam is not the only ship which does not have a published schedule for that period. Nieuw Amsterdam, Koningsdam, Eurodam and Rotterdam all still have holes in their schedules.
  18. If you click on a poster's avatar you can see their posting history. It would appear that the OP was on Nieuw Amsterdam July 10th, Whittier to Vancouver.
  19. $20 corkage per bottle and you can drink it anywhere! Prior to that change it had been 1 bottle per adult without charge (for drinking in non public areas only) and corkage after that.
  20. AFAIK there is no facility to add a profile pic, nor is there any need. The profile is based on your Mariner Account details.
  21. AFAIK, these are the only waters available to pre order on HAL. There are no plastic bottles supplied onboard, only the large glass or cans (both screw top and pull ring).
  22. What is 'homework'? What is 'research'? Can I not just complain virulently and start litigation if it is not what I anticipated or expected? 🤫
